I've reviewed many diy flying butterfly surprise but I feel yours is the easiest (after you get that rubber band on the safety pin) with items that are readily available. Thank you so much - I am going to use them in an exploding box for a 50th wedding anniversary.
I thing you could catch the difficult thing with a thread and the thread easily pass and pull the rubber then throw away the thread and it’s ok I try this I like very much your video thank you so much

Hi Tina - just ordered the butterfly pack and can't wait to try this out. I must tell you I was in pain watching you add the rubber band to the top of the safety pin. Pull/stretch the rubber band on both sides of the opening and pull up, works immediately and every time. Hope you try this.

I am sorry this is unrelated but where do you get those hand braces please? I need one with the flexible fingers like that.

i think that I would E-6000 (glue) that safety pin shut so it doesn't open when it spins out of the card...
Maybe if you hooked the rubber band on the hook end of the pin first, then feed it through the bottom of the pin.

Can't you start the hardest part of rubberband first, then take it to the other end to the wire part?
Would be easier for you to hook onto the safety pin first, thread thru loop at other end to attach to u pun
if you laminated the wings will they still fly?
