Recently the PS22 Chorus was contacted by Irish music sensation, Celtic Woman, to help support them on stage at their Radio City Music Hall performance on Saturday, February 27th. So today, the ladies of CW and their director David Downes came down to PS22 to rehearse, and it's fair to say it was love at first sight (listen?) between our respective groups! A day we'll all never forget!
Here is the beautiful song from the movie Prince of Egypt (thanks for the corrections!!), "When You Believe," (originally sung by divas Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston), that will NOT be performed at the Radio City concert, but came out unbelievably briliant just the same! We think this ought to whet your appetite for what's to come.....
And there will indeed be several more videos from this special rehearsal coming soon..... :)

Too see so many young kids singing with such harmony is just amazing. Being an amateur singer myself, I know how hard it is to sing but the PS22 Choir does an amazing job!!! These guys and gals are so talented and Celtic Woman is too of course, love you ladies!!!
They are so incredibly talented! PS22 and CW both take my breath away! Together, it's even more AMAZING! :)
I never saw such expressive kids in my life! What a music program this school has. Just show this video to convince the pols to continue funding the arts in schools. Amazing...
Oh my gosh, I was nearly crying from the opening 2 seconds. Gregg, your kids are an inspiration! I'm jealous in two ways:
1) Getting the opportunity to sing with Celtic Woman
2) Getting the opportunity to sing with PS22
The world is changing in so many ways, and we're all just trying to catch up. Yet, even for a moment, it's nice to see something which could give so many people the motivation to press on. Thanks a million times over for this!
This is a very fitting song because you all believed in yourselves and achieved more than any elementary school chorus that has come before. I'd call that a miracle.
Can't wait to see and hear more from this wonderful collaboration.

This is awesome! I think Celtic Woman, and Chloe in particular, sound even better in this relaxed setting.

OMG...i could just feel how those kids could have just felt..i remember being in band or choir and someone would come visit our classes and no one would not know who they were,but i would cause i listen to classical, opera, and celtic and asian music...i love all music that has a painting to it. cause im artistic...very......

Now that was total teamwork. And total admiration for each other's hard work. Way to go!
I love the little girl sitting in the front beside Alex at about 4:56 when Chloe hits her first really high note. the little girl turns and looks back at Chloe then months the word "Wow". not just once but again a few seconds later. WOW is right. she didn't realize anyone could hit a note that high. WOW what a great example to those young people this must have been.

girly the first time when i met Chloe my fave member i literally was crying screaming jumping dancing around for like 10 mins until Chloe was in the room and i was about 13 or 14!! then i dont remember anything afterwards cause i was in such awe my mom had to help me talk to her hehe!! and it took me to the 4th MnG with Chloe to actually have a good conversation with her xd!!

1:03 - This is the moment that the kids in purple and yellow T-shirts clap their hands to the rhythm sing-chanting, "Let's go, Chloë, let's go!" While they keep it on, I see Lynn and Alex climbing up to the stage and they helped Máiréad Nesbitt up by pulling her arm.
