I can't imagine that a Buddha monk (wherever he lives on this earth) can be accepted to get married and have children during his practice of Dharma and Tibetan Buddhism.... If one man can't give up SEX DESIRE in his self and still have sexual intercourse as a daily activity.... The big question is that he is a real & genuine Karmapa or not ? Is he offically recognized by the spiritual leaders of Tibetan Buddha on the base of reincarnation of the previous Karmapa (Karmapa 16)... What's the purpose of his presence and presentation for Tibetan communities inside and overseas..... A big question?

Don’t confuse Buddhism with the katholic church.. Karmapa is not the Pope. The 15th Karmapa was also married. As was the late Dilgo Kyentse and many other great Lama’s. They’re purpose is not to tell us what to do, but to show us what someone with a liberated mind looks like.
