Jack a bee! I lost mine 2 years ago. Loved to chase squirrels!

Beagle: your best friend. Jack Russell: your wing man. Two sides of the same coin.

Which would be the best choice for keeping martens, foxes, ferrets and mice out of poultry houses?

My JRT loves people but anything with fur, not so much. Not even the animals on television 😂😂😂😂

Maybe mention that beagles are notoriously noisy dogs.

My mom had a jack russell that barked more than any beagle we have had. I think that is an individual dog trait. Modern breeders are focusing on companion beagles that have less energy requirements and bark less. But as a general trait beagles do tend to bark. Keep in mind that traditional beagles were bred to distance themselves from their owner, find something and bark to alert their owner.

@@StarSurfer55 Beagles are known for being a noisy breed. That is a veritable fact so you posting a comment to disagree with a fact is silly. Just because beagles are known for being noisy doesn't mean some other dog can't also be loud or louder. Beagles are still a noisy breed.

@@traydevon Yes, beagles are a vocal breed and I did not say they weren’t. What I did say is that it can be dog dependent. Our first beagle barked once in the 14 years we had him. OF our current two, one barks at any trigger and the other one barely barks. Your response indicates that you fail to take into account current breeding practices as modern breeders are breeding out the tendency to bark as they focus on companion beagles. I don’t appreciate your failure to keep current and to perpetuate an out of date opinion of the breed.
