I disagree. Memes used to be jokes, now many critizies current trends and standarts and are often about politicaly hot matters like gender or economic system. Memes today are more grown up, where the pre 2010 memes were like childrens shows. As a child I thought satire and standup was boring as well, now I think they can be Quiete funny altho I still love the shows I watched as a kid.
