wow well, I feel called out. I'm a student and for our class we have to design a portfolio website for our illustrations and my website looks exact the same as the mistake example, 3 best illustrations at the top and project landing pages later- Thank god I watched this video now, 2 month before deadline haha

Thank you for this video! What is your opinion on using a Dribbble playbook set to "popular shots first" as a portfolio? I do this for my work thinking that it will automatically be sorted by what is the most eye catching for the viewer.

I wasn't familiar with Playbook, but i really like the look of Dribbble in general. Seems like it could work really well having the popular ones rise to the top. Go for it!

Can you explain what you mean by thumbnails leading to the same project? By clicking the thumbnails, what’s the destination?

Say you have a page showing a project with multiple images in it. Maybe it's a food and drink project and there are 5 or 6 illustrations there. The normal process would be to pick the best one to use as the thumbnail image for the main page of your website: 1 thumbnail image leads to the project page. But if you've got 3 images you're really pleased with in that project, you can add all three of those to the main/front page of your website and they can all lead to the same food and drink project page.

@@TheIllustratorsGuide Ok this makes sense thank you. But when you say 'drink project page' is that like a case study page you're referring to that shows the whole client case study scenario? some of us don't have elaborate case studies. is it okay that it doesn't lead to a 'drink project page'?
