That's the most frustrating thing in this mission. If everyone is destined to die. Why does cause of death matter? Either getting shot or blow to pieces. The result is the same. They die.
There basically saying "we won't let you kill civilians unless it's part of the story" take no Russian for example,we were allowed to do that because being undercover was a part of the story and that involves killing civilians to maintain said cover
The fact you can’t do a thing in this situation and even the end where people assume you’re the bad guy by stopping you from defusing the bomb thinking it’s just the activation feature here. Regardless of you fighting for them or not is just so hard to believe but true
One thing someone pointed out was since the bad guys all jumped off the plane, and since the bomb was just a back pack with no special restraints.... why couldn't Samara just run to the exit door and throw the bomb off the plane? Its crazy this mission was shown at the end of MW2 and it was disappointing that this is how it played out 👀
The ending shows the first explosion actually coming from the back of the plane, not the backpack. That means whether Samara threw the backpack away or not, the plane would still go down

I dont think so. Makarov men will be still at the door waiting for the last second before they jump. even though the player kill the Makarov men when the time is less than 10 second, it doesnt matter if you are in the plane or jump, the blast still can wreck the plane@@williamwoods214
@williamwoods214 it's basically impossible to open a door mid flight due to high air pressure, even if you did open it how would you close it? Anyone nearby would be sucked out or die from the cold in just minutes. (I'm assuming they closed the door to make sure she doesn't do that)

At the end of this mission I tried a few ways to get the phone. If you keep the gun in the air no one moves out of your way and screamer guy still attacks you. Cut scene plays out. If you point your gun at people they start getting out of the way. This is the closest I have gotten to the phone. But as you are within touching distance screamer guy seems to spawn in and the same ending cutscene plays out. If you aim your gun and attempt to fire it screamer guy jumps you from wherever you are, same cutscene. If you back up as much as possible the guy still tackles you. These are the only 4 scenarios I have been able to generate. Since this is a game I wish it had what if scenarios for us. Like for example when we were left with just us and one guy on the plane I attempted to run for the door thinking the game was about to give me that option. But sadly no. In this mission you are basically a passenger. Huh, and thats the missions name. Well done game. Well done.

If this actually took place, I would have tried to jump out of the plane. It makes zero sense that hijackers would strap a bomb on you and give you a chance to live. The detonation time was a minute and a half, and the whole plane was panicking. In my opinion, this plan was executed perfectly by the antagonist Vladimir Makarov.
I don't understand why she didn't just grab makarov, jump out of the plane with them and blowing them up in mid air. I don't get this mission. The guy says that he's part of the urzikstani liberation Force, but he forces you to get up for no reason. Then they start shooting one another. The guy says that the pilot and the staff are on their side but the staff is forcing you to put down your weapon before they get shot up buy makarov and his men. This whole mission is just lazy writing. I don't know what's going on here and it has no impact on the plot whatsoever. I get the feeling that they wanted to recreate no Russian but ran out of time.
The cutscene mission was even better in COD4 Than this cutscene mission. In COD4 at least got a great structure, COD4 even had 2 cutscene mission that all had a good structure
Late to the party but just to add my 2 cents to this stinker. 1) You don't have to do a thing to progress through this "mission". Go make a sandwich for 5 minutes and continue with the next mission as it plays itself out. 2) Wtf is Makarov doing on this plane? Just to give a dumb speech and jump out the door? By going through the airport, everyone knows it is him responsible through all the surveillance footage! Whoever wrote this garbage should be fired.
Ngl, Samara went down far too quickly. Like you couldn't kick bro off you, chop him in the head, or anything in the minute and a half you had to make a move? I would've jumped out on Makarov and held onto him
Not going to lie tho i just want to kill Makarov so it end here for the love of god this is annoying i wish there a way we can change what happen in the story like an Easter egg

This mission wasn’t as bad, but it was way to short and didn’t seem to have a huge impact
At the end of this mission I tried a few ways to get the phone. If you keep the gun in the air no one moves out of your way and screamer guy still attacks you. Cut scene plays out.
