@@shane123693 you have to really beat a champion though, don’t you? Yes Bivol was a champion too, but Beterbiev had already unified 3 titles so was obviously the A side.
To box a Muslim, in Saudi Arabia, he had to do more to get the nod. They use to say you had to knock out a man to get a draw in Germany… I think the same applied here. Any close rounds, were going to go to Beterbiev. In too many rounds Bivol came alive in the last 30 seconds to try steal the round. Judges are wiser to that now. Got to work for the 3 minutes. He looked to work on the back foot too much, for my liking. Arthur and his effective, relentless aggression won him the fight. He really tried to win, where Bivol tried to nick it.

At the end I thought Bivol would win on a split or a majority decision, but purely for the fact that it’s meant Eddie Hearn has spat his dummy out like the petulant little brat that he is makes this worthwhile. How he has the audacity to sit there and whine that someone shouldn’t be a boxing judge again when HE was the one trying to push ahead with the Eubank Jr vs Benn fight when HIS fighter was busted for juicing is laughable.

Good to hear the comments from a champion 🏆. Both elite boxers, bivol is more skilled, even arthur acknowledged that. For me it was a great fight, and expected the styles to play out like that. Bivol is a boxer, he is not going to stand and trade with a puncher for long periods, it would be stupid. He did stand his ground and traded at times with arthur.
Even when was moving around the ring, he was looking for opportunity for gaps to counter, not simply running. Landed the more cleaner shots and combinations, hits more power shots towards arthurs body. Had bivol winning 7-5 or a draw, no way arthur won more than 6 rounds. Yes of course we want to see the rematch, this gives a chance see if Bivol can win or Arthur win another close fight.
