Despite its reputation, Larissa is not impressed and wants to remain at her current public school. Then, when Larissa wanders off during their meeting, it becomes evident that this particular student is not just gifted, but a potential genius.

Children need to be loved, challenged, and accepted for who they are in the classroom. Every student is unique and must be pushed at their own individual level. I taught for 31 years and loved each and every kiddo!
My mom was a teacher. Thank you for all you’ve done to sow greatness into the lives of the children you taught.
That will be to difficult for a lot of people to do because of lack of love in their heart .look at what greed does to them.
That's why some kids are more successful, like Indian is 1% of the country but 20% of the doctors and 8% of the tech CEOs. They come from both parents homes & make them study. Asian American is more successful group and more successful
Nigerians beat everyone in America and they are Africans
As you know that does not work!! Racism has always been a part of the Caucasian race not knowing that these people who are the original people have set the precedent for civilization let's get the book of Deuteronomy 7 verse 6 that is the Negro. Read 1st Peter 2 verse 9 Joel 2 verse 27 now you got the real truth
Too Late To Turn Back Now Ms Montgomery; You've Shown Them Who U Truly Are!!! Her Daughter Deserves The Best; Glad They're Goin Elsewhere! Thanks For Such A Wonderful Story SoulSnack 💯💖

Exactly
My sister went through this with one of my nephews. He was always so smart and when school started he just caught on so quick. I recall when he got to high school the school claimed he did not know how to draw a circle. This was a geometry class, which was not true. So when he gets to college majoring in Engineering the Engineer professor told him he would never be an Engineer. He graduated with a double major in Engineering/math with almost a 4.00 gpa and then his MBA with a 4.0. He was just born really smart.
Never judge a book by its cover. I love this video. Black people are humans , we are great people. ❤
Black people have always been unique individuals we do not need the approval of any other race to tell us that. Their resentment and discrimination speaks volumes that they see the abilities and are threatened.
Agreed says this white woman ❤❤❤
YES! WE ARE GREAT PEOPLE!
TRUTH IS TRUTH!
JUST THE FACTS!
SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!
Many don’t consider them to be humans. This is the most popular viewpoint that continues to worsen and most likely won’t change for the better. Also there’s the Bell curve that says across the board they are less intelligent 🤓 which we know is false but none the less the ideology continues to be expressed worldwide. Any ideas on how to reverse this belief system?

Facts!!!
Now I bet there will be some disrespectful comments because of your response, but f them. They hate it when we speak highly of ourselves.
the little girl is adorable and such a talented actress. lets see more of her
What a brilliant young prodigy there who has her whole life ahead of her and has a bright future set
If she puts it to use
She only wants to be with friends and have fun. Like most kids they don't understand how important education is which is why parents are supposed to make the important decisions
School is one of them
@@DoubeEdged7 I agree wholeheartedly 💯
That little girl was taught how to navigate the micro aggressions! Most Black Parents teach before preschool. She is a Super Hero
Just because a school is highly rated doesn't mean that your child belongs there. The school probably wanted to use her as a show piece (like a show dog) to gain publicity. Her mother was right to take her out of this school.
Based off the administratiors attitude at first I wouldn't let my kid attend the school. I would pick another school.
Tbh, she was wrong for making her even go visit the school in the first place; given that the little girl didn't want to do it.
I know that's right preach!!! Please stay healthy and safe.
I don't blame her for not going to that school
Ms. Principal allowed herself to be bribed by that crafty parent. She lost a jewel of student because those dollar signs was blinding her.
Money talks and bullshit walks
Obviously this woman has never seen the movie hidden figures has she
that little girl didn't want to go there anyway she knew they would mistreat her
Indeed. Smart genius people pretty much know by now that school's just a huge waste of time.

Florida governor and all his cronies that wanna run the state and the schools should watch these videos do you think do you think he might learn something
She can go straight to college. She doesn't need private school. She's a genius damnit!
Beautiful Jamaican Mother. ❤
America is truly on a slippery slope with classism and racism.
So GLAD that the mother came to her senses.
The principal treated Larissa so badly and her mom has to find the other school.
So sad, but unfortunately this may be a reality at some institutions. People in authority labeling kids as having non-existent behavioral problems, racism and bribes -paying kids way through. Great mom for recognizing her daughters' happiness and denying even the full scholarship.
Which
May hold her back academically causing her to not reach or realize her full potential unless her old school offers the enrichment she needs to excel.
How do equate racism here? The principal made a decision based on financial gains. I thought that was as clear as day. The principal did what I see people doing every day. I'm not saying she made a good decision but I do not see racial bias as a thing here.
We're all proud of Larissa, she solved that algebra equation with the right answer 📝
I’m not so sure, but I think that might be Calculus. 😄😄😄
@@Harlem.Sweetie You could be right
She should at least go to a higher grade level not many children that age know algebra.
@Clemmie Bell actually that was calculus she solved she is basically like a math genius

Never judge someone before you get to know them
In our country, this unnatural thing mostly happens. A certain student was NOT accepted in a local university, but then several universities overseas accepted the student. One of them became a College Student Council in a university overseas.
Your comment does not make sense, I didn't understand it
@@polahkat6612 Exactly. Several things makes no sense in my country. For example, someone Invented an electric car in our country, but "failed to meet emission". Therefore, he patented his electric car in a foreign nation and was accepted.

I cry when I see 👀 and remember my childhood school life walks at least 3 miles
a day with joy every term becomes number 1 in my classroom. God bless us all. Thanks again.
Best mom ever 🎉👏🏽👸🏾🙏🏾
brooo the principle actually accepted a bribe over a kids smartness and future?
She’s not a good administrator. She’s also racist!!!
What's weird about that? It's a private, for profit school. Just like the whole American political system; hence it wasn't a bribe, it was a donation done by lobbyist to ensure that *the proper* decision to be made by _the board_ ...
Good for Mommy, she knows a bad principal when she meets one!! Hope Henry can live up to his daddy's dreams.. Hahaha
The mother was terrible for trying to force her daughter to go there at 1st
$50k for computers ? Hope it's enough for all of the students in one room. And keep an eye on those kids. Some of them steal
@@blue_red_screen forcing a kid to get an education ???
That's mandatory.
If I noticed that my kid was very smart, I would put my kid in a school where the chance of getting a good education and career are better. They don't stay kids forever.
@@DoubeEdged7 more important is whether the kid is happy. The daughter was perfectly fine with her current school
Thank y’all so much for more content 🙌🏽
I would have erased my daughter's work. They didn't deserve that either! Is that petty? 😂🤦🏾♀🤔
Nope! I would have erased it too and apologized for my child’s “behavior “ as I walked her briskly out of the building. 😉
Definitely taught her a lesson which is never be biased towards people's faults
She didn’t actually see any faults. She was searching for a lie to tell the Board on why she didn’t offer the opening to Larissa, but instead took a bribe from the father of the sub-standard student.
Knowledge is priceless.
Perhaps; but wisdom is invaluable.
I experienced this as a child; I discovered this as an adult while serving jury duty- the chairperson remembered my rather unique name so many years later and confessed that board making the decision could not believe that a child like me would be a "fit".(College level test scores while in the 5th grade and my permanent sun tan.)
Never Let Your Authority Get In The Way Of Doing The Right Thing
The Florida legislature in the Florida governor needs to watch some of these programs and check it out because maybe they would learn something if they’re capable of learning in Florida education is important not disassociation
This is so terrible...saddest thing, many children of colour faces these treatments on a daily basis. The child is acting like a child, and the principal labeled her as having a behavioral problem. This happens a lot, and once a child is labeled as such, a lot of other educators look at the file, and not the child, and therefore that child will not receive the best education because they will treat them like a problem child, based on that file, and not treat them like a child needing help to develop and learn base on who they are as a person...praying for the days of true change and true equality🙌🙌🙌🙌
Watching from MISSISSIPPI 💙
My daughter went through the same situation.. I removed her out of that school.. Then apologize to her for the things she had endured..
May we not underestimate the acumen of children under duress and race.
God bless and protect you always ❤️ 🙏
"I went to Harvard" I say "whatever every school has a name"
This is how black children are treated even when they maybe academicly bright. PARENTS PLEASE STAND UP FOR THE RIGHTS OF YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN
@Gilda Barnett
That’s why I’m not a fan of “rich privileged” schools. Many of them are filled with stuck up and racist Karens who will throw people under the bus to save their asses AND bully and humiliate kids. Snobby rich schools normally don’t give a damn about the kids, parents, or even most of the staff. All they care about is ratings.
Great lesson showed here parents listen to your children
Mum made the best decision, that little girl has plenty time to succeed without pressure 😊❤
That kind of reminds me of my daughter's ordeal we had with her choosing her college TexasA&M had thier noses turned up at her so she ended up a Cornell University
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽How wonderful!!!
Texas A&M rejected me because one of the people writing a recommendation sent it in one day late, despite my insistence on the deadline it truly was not something I could control. Same situation happened with my other application yet Cornell accepted me. How funny it was the same two Universities.

I appreciate the lessons on these videos
*Heyyy SoulSnack, Wish'n All A Fabulous Weekend!* 🤗💛
I agree that it’s important for children to be loved and nurtured; however, our system is broken when parents have to choose between a quality education and an academic environment where a child will feel accepted.
Money talks words walks. Very smart lil girl she knows her worth. That wasn't the right school for her Glad mom recognized
THE PROFESSOR SHOULD HAVE TRIED TO FIND OUT WHO SOLVED THE PROBLEM AND THANK THEM
Her mom did the right thing period
Serves the principal right! She lost a budding genius who would have greatly enhanced the school's reputation. That's the folly of prejudice. It blinds one to the true worth of people regardless of their colour, social status, beliefs, etc. I'm certain Larissa will excel. Bless her precious heart.😊
That wasn't (racial) prejudice on the part of the principal. What you see is just a bribery influenced decision. From the story line, if it wasn't for the financial injection, the principal would've taken the girl.
That principal will have a lot to explain to the School Board and getting terminated is the only option
Karen: “We’re one of the finest schools in the nation.”
Me: “Then you should have enough common sense to show professionalism and respect to the innocent little girl who did nothing wrong.”
Even the professor didn't know the answer.... ahahahha...
I love this and that's what they do with black God will continue to surprise them with great gift He has given to the black Glory to God!
Hey Mrs Thompson
I wish that the life lesson had included the principal being found out for what she tried to do. If the board had made their decision, then she shouldn’t have been able to overrule that decision because of bribery. The mother made the right decision but the principal should have been fired or reprimanded.
You’re absolutely correct!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
😂😂😂😂
She forgot she has a pay somewhere.
I feel bad for Henry’ dad
He didn’t have to donate anything to the school.
I don’t trust the principal
She’s going to use that money for Botox 😂😂😂
She reminds me of the mom of Charlie Harper on two and a half men
And maybe put in jail.
She had no business telling Henry’s father the race or sex of the person the board chose. He had no need to know that. The principal played to his prejudices.
Amazing content, thank you for sharing all of your awesome videos.

Don't let your authority get in the way of doing things right.
Honestly, if Larisa is a genius and doing fine at her other school, I would have left her there. At least she would she been treated well and still continued to get good grades. Sending her some where she isn’t wanted, regardless of her grades, is not worth it.
Mommy's accent sounds familiar. Great short film with a message.
Probably from “Vid Chronicles”.
The principal of the school failed to treat both the mother and the daughter with care. This will cost the school millions of dollars annually and perhaps it will be closed due to poor management.

The dad should have been arrested for bridging that principal to get his son into that school.

Amazing!I have a genius daughter too like her Jochebed Dickson . She is five years old in basic five here in Nigeria. She even corrects her teachers and teach her colleagues quantitative aptitude and many more. She actually started reading adult books at two with big vocabularies...

Yes indeed
😊❤❤❤I would’ve preferred the student than the money, which the principal saw in the end🎉
I would never want to send my kid to some “top notch” school where authority is uptight, rude, and bias towards certain kids. Regardless of their grades or intelligence, I’d never want my kid in a place where they feel unwanted and unappreciated. That can screw up their mental health and self-esteem. Which is distract them from academic learning anyways.

She’s a genius
Not only that, but little Larissa is more of an adult than the principal and the rich racist dad.
That goes on a lot in some of those schools
Every time a Chinese farm daughter is discovered as a genius, she goes straight to university. That way there are enough talented researchers in every field. And there never any school massacres.
❤❤❤❤❤lovely story I love ending
The most impotant thing in life is not your happiness. Happiness depends on “what happens” which is why our children are screwed up
Today. Joy is independent of what happens & gives you grit to endure the worst of situations. She should have taken the full ride all the way to the Ivy leagues. Unless your public school is in an affluent neighborhood it is deficient because they have a larger tax base by which to educate their youth by having AP classes that boost your GPA. The kids in my youth group in their community had obsolete books, not enough books to go around, no science, labs, no computer classes, welded the lockers shut, and not one AP class. Their valedictorian cannot compete with the average student in our wealthiest city neighborhood. They have smaller classes, teach coding. Numerous AP classes, ACT and SAT prep courses, and the list goes on. If they are not physically abusing our kids, we need to take every scholarship and let them know that not only we, but our entire community is standing for them and behind them.
What a cutie that Lil Larissa is!
She’s a princess! And the mom quite lovely!
The Said School Board Should Be Punitively Fined. After That, The School Operating License Should Be Evoke Immediately
Real world real action
Her mother should not expose her to go to school that she does not like
A child should be allowed to be a child in their free time . Some kids are smarter than their teachers . The guy giving a 50, 000 dollar donation is considered a bribe to get their child enrolled in this prestigious school , this is not right , it would be different if it were a down payment on their tuition fees . Iam glad this girls mother saw through the principal , don't judge a book by its cover until you see what the person that has read the book or solved a problem , they will be surprised .
@Linda
Yeah what’s next? Would Larissa get shamed for believing in Santa Clause??? How about using her imagination in a free spirited way instead always being glued to her tablet?

Maybe all the people in Florida need to watch some of this stuff and all these educational videos especially that Governor guy that lives in Florida and is trying to run around the world
That didn't end right the other teachers should have came in to see an she get found out
I think they maybe did it off-time and offscreen.
Reminds me of an incident with my son when he was 5. My wife submitted an application for him to go to a summer camp at a prestigious private school. He had to be tested to see if he "qualified" for their summer program. The testing was done by the principal and we had to sit in the lobby until it was done. After the testing the principal brought us into the room and told us that our son not only didn't qualify, but; she said he couldn't read. There was a U.S. government E.E.O. sign on the wall behind the principal's desk. My wife told our son to read the sign. He proceeded to read the government regulations without missing a beat. The principal looked in amazement at the reading ability of our 5 year old. She had to apologize and she immediately accepted him into the summer camp.
