By the way, 70 to 80 % of his concerts are still devoted to classical music, which he considers "his home", and has never abandoned. The classical ballerina dancing on a pole is also a crossover. A way to tell everybody that all forms of art may be merged, as long as the merger is done the right way, and to achieve a higher end. That of bringing people of all ages to appreciate art in all its forms.

He performed with international orchestras in his teenage years, Attended Julliard (Best school for music), won the composition prizes in his school, studied under one of the best violinists of all time (Perlman) and has become one himself. HE WAS A PRODIGY! He started violin at the age of 4, and was playing professionally by the age of 12. He played a fricking STRADIVARIUS at the age of ELEVEN. He was good enough to do so. He did classical music for a while and ventured into crossover. He is a TRULY talented violinist, a professional one that has been practicing for decades. Of course he isn't on billboard. He's not collabing with pop stars, he's not a modern celebrity because he's trying to make real violin music, no autotune or back tracks, all done by himself. He's in the world OF PROFESSIONAL MUSIC. He did not go on america's got talent, x factor, or stupid money competitions like that. Ricardo Precious Dark They only like Lindsey because she's "modern", which David can do as well. I have nothing against her, but you can't compare her to an actual virtuoso and a prodigy. Garrett may not be the greatest of all time (that would be Paganini), but I don't see why someone would compare a musician who can play rock, classical and everything in between to someone who seems to have a limited repertoire.

Maybe the video is showing that to some in the very traditional classical community his doing crossover is like a classically trained ballerina being a pole dancer. But her performance is like an Olympic gymnast because of her training not someone wiggling around a pole wearing a boa. Even though she's wearing those outrageous shoes and he is in that snakeskin jacket which may seem to be disrespectful to their art when they do "crossover" their performances are amazing because of their classical training. She even has the long blond hair wig (like David's hair) which is highlighted at the end. And I may be thinking too deeply on all of this but the middle section where he plays that kind of Chaccone like riff she looks out at the audience like their classical training is always in part of their performances and thoughts. In the end both of their performances are explosive because of their foundations. I loved the video from the start and I like that the comments got me thinking.
