Why should this be free? It's cosmetic item, and very polished ones at that. Along with the fact that the game is free, these items do not effect game play. Stop being so entitled.

Tinker boots... Letting the enemy know exactly who is teleporting to the tower or unit.
It's already possible for you to know exactly who is teleporting... just look at the circle color.

God damn, the Warlock one makes me want to actually skill Upheaval for once. I saw a player use it really effectively once by microing his golems whilst he kept the enemy in Upheaval, but I can never seem to pull it off. Any tips on this?
have the Unified Unit Orders option in the options menu checked so that when you hold down CTRL when issuing an order, it will send it to all units you control. Once you have that. As Warlock, what you'll wanna do is summon golems, cast Upheaval on the area with the enemies and CTRL Attack Click the ground. Your golems would start attacking and your warlock will stay channeling. You can CTRL Attack click a hero if you want to focus your golems on people
Somenthing that people always seem to forget is that Upheaval has a HUUUGE casting range. Keep that in mind ;D
Well, ALL of Warlock skills are changed, they just didn't review them.
Eltanin Are you sure Warlock will keep channelling instead of breaking it to follow the go-to order?
Anyway, unified control is not really necessary: you just have to summon the golems, initiate the channelling and then select the golems without having Warlock selected. I don't see what's difficult in it.

You can try and see for yourself. It doesn't break his channeling and this applies to other channeling heroes too (i.e. KotL Charging his Illuminate while you send unified orders to your necro units).
You can do the method that you mentioned and as you said, it's not that hard but the guy was asking for tips on how to pull off the warlock combo and I thought the unified orders trick would make it a lot easier for him since you don't need to deselect your hero at all using that method.
The fish for lion is awesome! Also is that special tp only for boots of travel on Tinker? not TP scrolls?
Nah, it's for boots of travel for all characters, they don't make a special effect on that for someone unless its for furion because it's his own custom teleportation, whereas these are boots of travel :P

Abel Tan Actually there is only 1 Kinetic Gem in the Crystal Maiden immortal. The second Gem is a stats counter Gem. The reason you can't get the particle effects or the icon separately is that they are baked into the item and aren't attached to any Gems. Only the casting animation can be extracted.

Sniper Immortal has so many effects, like
different shooting sound, 2 skill icons, 1st skill effect,custom ulti animation and effect,
custom death animation, custom walkcycle, also now weapon drops shells.
i think valve mixed up the dk and warlock rarities dk form is way more awesome than the warlock staff but both are fucking great

They are in the game. What else do you want? For developers not to gain money for hard work? They are pretty much already doing that, by releasing an entire game - no limits - to brats like you.
I think you ought to look at LoL before you start talking about what should be in game by default
so leave nothing for compendium owners and do you actually think that valve is going to passs up on oppourtunities on making money? In every multiplayer game there are drops and items to buy so the game stays interesting. If these were put into the game already everyone would have them and they would not be unique at all

I suppose people prefer the f2p model where you cannot even play the full game without pouring in at least 200 bucks. Totally optional, totally cosmetic items that you can pay money for or not (if you trade your drops)? That is just too generous for some people to grasp. The walk animation is pretty cool, basically just hops around as you'd imagine, but for half of it the fish also glides on the ground. You won't be disappointed :)

The strange from the DK is, his 2nd skill actually came from the dragon's tail if i correct. I remember in warcraft 3 it says when he stuns "he bashes the enemy with the fury of a dragon's tail swipe" not from his wing and i just remember that skill name is "dragon tail" hahaha whoever made this animation is completely not a fan of DK
in dragon form he stuns with his tail. but in normal mode he uses his shield. I think that wing animation is quite epic :D

Im not saying that tail will permanently on his ass, i mean when he stuns there's tail comes out just like the wing in this animation. I think they should make animation for his fire breathe too

Got the Windrunner cape, the Puck Tail, and the Warlock staff...But I really wanted the Axe mask and the Sniper Rifle, damn it.
Let's just hope that their price in the steam market goes up, so we can sell them and buy the ones we want.

Awesome nova effect tho, AXE: not the best mask around but call looks okay, DP: awesome crypt swarm, DK: awesome ultimate, perhaps the hero portrait in dragon form needs to be lowered down a bit so you don't just see half his head and legs for half the portait, WR: eh, shiny, WARLOCK: looks like midas on a stick ;D, feels like a rip off since its the rarest item and only the hands looks different, PUCK: OW MY EYES, SO BRIGHT, LION: FISHY :D the hex sounds sounds like someone did a small burst of diarrhea

Meh. I kinda think purle would be a closer hue to his blue color thus sticking to Storm's theme along with the event. To each his own taste I guess.

It is okay but for an immortal item and its "rarity", it doesn't look as good as the others. It just a skin change

the effects are gems in the items called kinetics.
***** The spell effects are actually tied to the immortal item. The character model animations and particle effects are tied to the gems

Kerem Inan Damage is depending on incoming damage whilst orchid is active. Once it deactivates, the damage is dealt.
Kerem Inan Orchid amplified taken dmg by 30% during the silence duration but that dmg is dealt after the duration ends

I like the clarity and clear visuals on some of these effects. I honestly think some should be the stock particles without equipped items - Shrapnel, Headshot, Crystal Nova, Dragon Tail, maybe even Windrun... but oh well. This at least might make me buy a compendium. :)

Would trade my DP item for the StormSpirit one but I don't trade with people, some people in the community give the most one sided deals and expect their trader to give him/her top - notch items for lesser items. But if your willing to trade the SS item for the DP item ( I'd think no one uses DP though ): TomChungie
Now here's the problem...
It's all very nice of Valve creating these Immortal items, but if they have the potential to make things that look this good, it becomes questionable why they keep the default 'bad' particles for heroes.
What I mean is, the only unique particles in this video are the Storm spirit, Lion, Axe, Warlock, Windrunner and Tinker effects. They are the ones that change the feel of the hero. The rest of effects are simply straight upgrades to the regular, that I personally think should just be added anyway by default, simply to keep the game modern and in-line with current advancing technology.
Don't call me an 'entitled prick' for saying this, and while i understand Valve want to make money, I'd rather that they made more of these 'unique' Immortal items.... Well 'unique', rather than just "Hey guys, look what we COULD do with our new software to make the game experience better and attract more people! First spend money."
I just think it will be annoying playing the game with someone else who is using 'Crystal Nova' for example which is still just a generic 'ice blast', only they have the Immortal and theirs looks much better than yours,which begins to look outdated. If this type of system is started, with multiple clashing graphical tiers of spells flying everywhere, the tidiness and enjoyment of the game will go down and teamfights would become as much of an eyesore to watch as LoL...
Can someone explain to me what this is exactly? Do you have to buy anything to get these cool effects? I also noticed people like Storm Spirit (Having a poison-like effect to his right-click) or Windranger (who has a slow to her wind run ability). Will these added effects only be included with the sets? Or are the characters themselves having these added effects? I'm so confused!
Check the Market, they are all fairly cheap, no need to buy the Compendium and buy more points. I kind of regret it, I could have purchased all these items for WAY LESS than what I've spent.
I wanted to buy the Compendium until this morning when in return of 3 pages of rares and uncommons,Valve(The Compendium offering) gave me only 25 Compendium points.Fair enough...
Warlock staff also changes fingers all the time = when casting heal, when casting bonds, SICK \m/ rock on when casting ulti and when AFK he plays Rock Paper Scissors rarely
As for the prices here's the order on the most of them DK > Warlock > SS > Tinker > Sniper > WR > DP > CM > Axe - on first of June according to both Dotatrade and Dotalounge + Community Market
I really love playing as CM (infact my favorite hero), but the item sucks in my opinion. The effect on her skill are just off the chains but they should've made an item where CM looks more hotter/beautiful/badass. Not like a clown.
They make millions a week and they can't give their customers the chance to choose which item they want (as in, make an item for every hero and let them choose). I personally think they all look terrible, except the DP and SS which are quite decent. Perhaps is because I rarely play those heroes. I only play CM and WR, and honestly, the CM's headpiece looks like shit and the WR is okish, but ofc, I didn't get it.

They should make Sven gauntlet that gives custom storm hammer, Phoenix headpiece with particle trail + custom supernova, SB weapon that gave custom charge/bash or some cool stuff like that. Instead they gave us this cancer patient Crystal Maiden headpiece.
Some of those should not be microtransactions, they should be patched in replacements for the standard effects.
Selling better/fixed animations/effects... this is a very ugly precedent you're making Valve.

Upheaval was always warlock best skill. I'm not sure why peoples don't used it. Also, when you have selected many units and one of them is channeling, Right-click don't move that unit.

So many complaints that these should be in the game for free?... when you just play the game, you get items for leveling up and trading cards, you can sell on marketplace.. you get money for playing dota 2, whats wrong with putting a bit of money back into the game? Selfish people..

Finally a Dragon Knight Elder Dragon skin - and IMO it looks way better than the original, too!
Also love the simple effect of Dragon Tail - it really gives off the impression that Davion slams the enemy with a strength of a dragon!

Yeah that's cool and all but I think by including several effects for one skill it will be even harder to figure out what's going on in a teamfight. Valve should implement a "no cosmetics" option. I don't want this game to go the same way as tf2 where trading is more important than plaing the actual game nowadays
