This video brought back memories of my own divorce at 31. Moving into my own apartment, my parents helping. So many similarities. Now I’m almost 60! Life moves on with many many adventures to come.😊

I appreciate your willingness to share your emotions and be vulnerable with us. I’m sure it is helping many people feel less alone. Also, I love your new apartment! If I ever move back to Texas, I’d want to live in Austin, too. Sending you love 💙

I know you mentioned you have a lot of commitments/contracts with sponsorships and that’s why you’re putting out so much content. I am in awe of your work ethic. Given everything you’ve been going through behind the scenes, I can’t thank you enough for being so vulnerable with us. I’m sure in ways filming and sharing this season of your life can be healing ❤️

With Max’s barking, i would highly recommend looking at some of Victoria’s videos on RUclips from her show ’It’s me or the dog’.
She’s a dog trainer, plus she uses only positive methods so no hitting or telling off your dog which is so good! Often it’s a matter of taking the time to give Max treats every time someone walks past before he has the chance to bark so he learns to associate all the traffic outside as a good thing, and doesn’t need to be barked at 😊

Organizing, "nesting" and doing something tangible while moving forward is good for the soul. Seeing you take some deep breaths, lower your shoulders and unclench your jaw tells your body and those of us watching your channel you are choosing joy. Choosing to live your life. Choosing to be whole and human.

With two sinks put your nighttime routine items near one. With all cleansers and makeup remover as well as all that you wear on your face for night.
The other sink do morning routine items. It’s fun to set up this way and feel special as you never have to try to find the two routines which are very different a items swiftly.

Michel! Suggestions for desensitising Max! RUclips videos of traffic/sirens/city noises. Start at a low volume and have it playing for an hour or two for him, maybe during his usual nap time. Be consistent with the ‘no bark’ commands etc! Eventually he might tune it all out. If he is highly triggered by visuals outside, maybe put privacy film on half the windows? That way you have have them open so you get lots of light but he can’t see out. I didn’t look at other comments so sorry if this is redundant.
I live on the ground level corner apt in Portland with a rescue pup so I understand the anxiety :) she now love to just sit at the window watching people/cars go by.

I have cared for myself since I was 9 years old and 38 years from age 17 as a ICU nurse and also a mother. So I am a total need for control freak of those things I can control. God has truly taught me that only He is always in control. This move you are blessed to land in Austin. I love Austin. What a beautiful place.
About Max barking. We adopted our little Havanese and knew him for 2 years ( he used to belong to someone we knew) before we adopted Murphy. He barked at every sound. With a lot of love we chose to retrain him. We squirt sprayed his face with a little water every time he barked and he is such a smart doggy and he stopped that in about 4-5 times. So you can teach Max not to bark. We love our sweet Murphy but I cannot imagine requiring the jobs we all do from home absolute quiet concentration that he could completely undo our thoughts with his sudden and harsh barking. It does not mean you love Max any less to reteach him new behaviors.
PS I help keep my home clean by no shoes past the front door. I line the shoe shelves at the front closet with the clear zip liner so I can wash it with a wipe or in my bath tub soap and water. Just a hint I am sharing. I
Lol you can make almond banana fritters and also banana walnut bread for your freezer

Home Depot or Lowe's has several plastic window film designs that will still allow light through but block Max's view as to what is outside. Like an opaque white or privacy glass design that you could put on the bottom half or the whole window or glass door & you can pull it off when you move. You spray water onto the glass & apply decorative film & smooth it out with a credit card type tool. Easy!

So proud of you Michel! The seasons of our lives change so unexpectedly sometimes and the challenges we face can seem so overwhelming. Keep finding joy and seeking happiness. One day you'll wake up and it won't hurt anymore. It helped me to think about silly funny happy things.. like not having to share snacks. Idk if that helps you, but it did for me. Lots of hugs. Keep your head up!

TO BLOCK WINDOWS. Get white tissue paper and liquid starch. Use a paint brush to "paint" the liquid starch on the part of the window you want to block probably just the bottom) then carefully lay the tissue on the wet window glass. When it dries it will be durable and opaque but light will still come thru. When you move out it is easily removable with warm water. I did this for me very sensitive Labrador rescue and her life is so much better for it. No more frantic barking at everyone and everything. Total cost about $5, window film is an option but considerably more expensive.

My husband walked in while I was watching one of your videos and asked me who you were. I started to tell him that you were my friend but then I was like wait, that’s silly! This girl doesn’t even know me! But it’s true, I feel like you’re my friend. You’re so genuine and I feel like we could be sitting across from each other at a table in a little restaurant somewhere having a deep conversation like friends do. My life did this exact kind of 180 four years ago. And let me just say, in the face of devastating loss like a planned on relationship and future dissolving, your "It's only 7am and I'm already tired" was my exact experience too. For...months. actually, over a year. I don't think it's that long for everyone, and I had a lot of health and other issues contributing. But purely based on the emotional exhaustion these severe changes cause.....hell yeah. 7am and already tired is a real state of being.

Hopefully with the business and noise, Max will adjust and he won’t feel the need to bark at everything. My dog was super reactive and would bark at absolutely EVERYTHING when we first rescued him, but over the last 6 months-1 year, he has improved immensely. The apartment is so cute and I can’t wait to see all that you do with it! ❤️❤️

I'm so happy for you! I went through a divorce at 24, almost the same situation as you. It was not my choice and I left most of our things with him. I was the one to move out and start over on my own. It only gets better from here, girl! Keep your head up and you will come out on top! Amazingly, I met my now-boyfriend only 4 months after my divorce. I didn't think I was ready, but you realize how far you have come when you least expect it! You can do it!! Love you.

Your new home looks lovely 😍 I completely empathise with what you are going through. In February I left my long term partner, our house and my step child and had to start all over again. The only thing I walked away with was my cat and had to buy everything new. Seeing how strong and productive you are being has really helped me to see a light at the end of the tunnel. So even though you are hurting and in pain, you are still managing to help people like me, and I thank you and hugely admire you for.

You will find yourself, you will become braver and settled and you WILL find someone who will give you the same love and respect that you give. Then, when the next chapter begins in a few years, you will smile and say "I am so grateful for that chapter and who I became because of it."

You can keep the sink furthest away from the toilet as your skincare/makeup doing sink. And the once next to the loo can be for cleaning hands/if you need to spot bleach any clothes/hand wash any clothes that might get stained or are too delicate or things that you would normally do in a laundry tub since you don't have one. Having the option there for you gives you the chance to care for your hygiene better

I know an empty apartment might feel a bit overwhelming - so much space to be in, and I am sure you are very sensitive to that. I also know you were putting a lot of love and care into your former home, and putting NEW love and care into making this your new home is probably emotionally (and physically - THAT BED!) exhausting.
Just letting you know you are never going to be in that new home by yourself. You have so many people who are on this journey with you, cheering you on, but also here to hear you and relate when times are tough. You've got this, and we've got you.
Just one thought... try not to suppress your emotions too much. I know you are concentrating on trying to make everything positive, and you are in survival mode right now, but I think especially for someone like you whose anxiety can manifest itself in your physical body, it is good to let the emotions out and not hold onto them too tightly. Everything you are feeling right now is valid, and it is ok to let it out.

First off, YAY for Max’s new yard!! 🎉
My two ideas for keeping the busy street out of Max’s line of sight:
    1) pick up some frosted window film at the hardware store & apply it up to the height that Max can reasonably see the street from (depending on if he sits on the couch, too!). To get the film onto the glass doors, you’d just have to temporarily undo the screws that attach the blinds at the bottom, but thankfully that’s easy peasy.
    2) get a gaggle of potted arborvitae plants (or another tall, skinny outdoor plant that works best with your conditions) and line them along whatever amount of the fence that is in view from inside. Window film is the cheapest option, but the greenery would improve your view **and** Max’s (ooh la la), and give privacy from anyone on the street.
You could also mix & match, and use window film on the door and plants only for what you can see from the windows. Whatever feels right! 💕Hugs from Seattle!

You could apply a privacy film or contact paper to the bottom half of the windows.

You should try the stick on adhesive window stickers which can cut to size and shape which you can’t actually see from the outside of the windows and they still let light in!

Suggestion for all of the bananas: freeze some for smoothies at another time or make some banana bread! You could give some to your friends/family if there is to much banana bread after too. (Though you may not have a bread pan so that might not work… you can always get one though!)
