Is not recommended to use battery electrode for motor brushes! The quality of graphite used in battery is different than motor brushes graphite, as result, the collector plates of the motor will be wear verry easy.

pure nonsense. you can buy original brushes for a small fee. Not every carbon is the same hardness. This would destroy the rotor collector in a short time, and the grinder would become unusable. then you would buy a new rotor and original brushes.
When I work construction, every time they get the new tools, and there was a set of blush in the box they throw them out I’d take them when they threw out the old tools. I’d take them home and put the brushes in them.
