My homeboy from Chicago was like that, especially after doing a short prison stint… He was a tough guy before but he came out super no nonsense street attitude…. You couldn’t really even joke with him too much. He was an very intense guy… carried guns everyday and would kill someone in a heartbeat over any perceived disrespect... So let me say this. I’m currently a med student was raised in the Bronx the slang is embedded in my. It’s 2024 and hospital I work at is big on “bring your authentic self to work” I took that to heart and indeed bought my authentic self to work. Bronx slang is who I am.
