This is correct :) the point made however is that most things in video games contain multiple faces and vertices, while a wall in modern video games is typically a 3d object using multiple faces and vertices water can have 1 face and 4 vertices and is a static mesh (static meaning it’s not moving) that gives the illusion of movement. Thank you for watching! :)

@@GeistLeik while your video is informative, i feel like a lot of people point out something similar to what i said, and i don't know if it's that fact that you said game developers are tricking you or something else, but a lot of things could be classified as "tricking you" which leads me to say that everything game developers put in their game trick you in some form
You can say that literally about everything in games.
This is true!
If you think water is an illusion in video games I have bad news for you. Everything is an Illusion in video games.

Where is 0:32 from? Quite the gorgeous cliffside, in my opinion... cool video, by the way!
It’s a simulation of real water physics within unreal engine :) thank you!
Awesome video. Thanks. Keep it up.
@@knallkopp9662 will do! Thank you!
everything in games is a lie, they're just 2D surfaces
