    There is actually a better mod for GMOD legs 3, which is Enhanced Camera 2. Instead of just seeing your legs, you see your whole body. The mod also doesn't have any issues with the Mantle mod.

    All these mods make me think.. There's a dodging mod that includes first person hand animations too, and with the hands mod, VManip, and the parkour mechanics, you've just gotta find a good melee mod and it's a good Dying Light mod pack

    I recommend the mod: Full Body First Person, is like is like the gmod legs 3 but shows you the whole body and also, if you download a player model that does not have model hands, you can see the hands of the model because it is like see in thirdperson and firstperson

    i think you should test out wheatley's parkour it has the same hands in outlast a like hands but parkour style and it has busting down doors so it's good for nextbot runs

    Well would you look at that, pretty sure I discovered your post s right around a week ago or so.. and here I am given how far they date back thinking gosh I wonder if he's still around.. but look at that, you don't know this or not but we've had a journey together this week in my desperate attempt to make the gameplay and Half-Life 2 good enough for me to convince myself to finally play through those episodes.. quite quite quite mission accomplished, in fact so much so that it's become a problem, because there's the little things that I can't fix that I should be able to fix so far like bases hard coating view model fov and fov on aiming and, that TFA base that hard-coated the reverse kinetic sway to the view Bob which is really good, it's a great animation they just made it so that somehow the weapon that's in your shoulder moves from the shoulder first..
    So here I am, I put so much time into it I might as well finish right? What a rabbit hole LOL, so appreciate your stuff man. :-) for the record I haven't touched any of the valve half-life branching tree since 2007 when The Orange box killed my original s mod configuration, and it just made no sense why I would play through episode one after I'd already gotten used to kicking and leaning and ballistics and perfect view models and free aim.. although I did play insurgency which had a lot of those things except for the ballistics which actually ended up being why I stopped playing it, but if you had told me that Gary's mod was the ideal way to play through the Half-Life 2 campaign I would have been confused at best LOL...

      Yeah you can even add basic gameplay outside of the parkour, it's amazing what you can do when you're not confined by a controller LOL.. I'm just bitter because we haven't seen a single player melee chivalry style combat, and and I'm really starting to give up hope on that one sadly.

      Viewmodel_fov is what you want... you can also do a pos x y z ect... at least you used to be able to in the console... most weapon swep packs have something to manipulate this in the base's q menu config... you'll need to get some of the mmod or other re-animations for the default canon weapons... Project HL2 mmod reanimated redux (lol... words) is probably the bee's knees for quality in that regard, but you'll wanna switch out the arms from the gorgeous HLA arms (sigh...) to ' Fewes HEV hands for Garry's Mod '. This is the only set* that I've found so far that work with both vanilla, either remodeled or stock, as well as some of the other weapon packs...
      Getting that shotty, even the one I recommended (which is fantastic) out from behind the ear**, Is gonna need the unicorn of hev arms. Ones that don't suck, or are missing geometry like the stock hl2 one's... as well as fit both the stock guns in Carm config and maybe, just maybe a few more (though it's slim pickins still) A noble goal that I can relate as I've been editing viewmodels and positions and fov's*** the better part of a week for my first hl2 playthrough since 07.
      Now the TFA base has options to unfuck the standard viewmodel position and fov, but that's just flavor or quick setup... even the vanilla hl2 viewmodels don't have a consistent hold position, especially after they moved them all around a few years back (cause... valve...). I found the sliders, regardless use fov it seems for most of the work even when adjusting xyz positions (or at least it looks it). As it stands, the best animated hl2 shotty with the best arms can barely have the pistol grip in front of the view, before those best arms can be seen into sigh... part of the conundrum of adjusting a poorly held model to be proper, so it's gonna fuck up the rest of your weapons that use tfa.
      SO use the ' steamworkshopdownloader ', just type that into google and its an io thing... paste the workshop url for ' [TFA] [AT] Project HL2 MMod Pack ' into the top bar and it will spit out a zip instead of a GMA. Then go into lua's and weapons until you get a general list of the weapons in the pack. Then open it with (notepad++)****. Search for vpos, and FOV. Right off the bat from here you can just play around, but the surefire less headache it's not 2006 anymore way is with a tool called ' SWEP CONSTRUCTION KIT '
      Just sub to that in the workshop and load up a map with the tfa pack of your choosing, this one is good for it in particular as it has no bone separations so you just have to worry bout aligning one thing.... also most of them have good basic positions within the constraints of hl2's just things like fov ect... so all the values are there to mess with, though some don't have a crouch position, like the shotgun, and you definitely want one, adds a huge amount to the immersion for some reason lol. So just copy the variables with crouch and put them nearby the viewmodel_fov variable, no matter where in the stack, just good to keep things in order... which good luck finding a swep in order lol... specially these.
      SWEP.ViewModelFOV = (usually 54 or 60)
      SWEP.VMPos = Vector(0, 0, 0)
      SWEP.VMAng = Vector(0, 0, 0)
      SWEP.CrouchViewModelPosition = Vector(0, 0, 0)
      SWEP.CrouchViewModelAngle = Vector(0, 0, 0)
      SWEP.Secondary.IronFOV = (usually 70... should be 90 or global fov... fight me)
      (DONT MAKE IT 70 IF YOU GOT THIS FAR DAMN IT!!! set it to either your default fov, or slightly less, I use 90 for 100 fov, up to your screen size really... STOP THE ZOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!! These weapons usually have scope attachments anyhow lol, only arccw doesn't let you fix this, cause he's a broken man)
      SWEP.IronSightsPos = Vector(0, 0, 0)
      SWEP.IronSightsAng = Vector(0, 0, 0)
      Gonna be things like that, gonna have variables like sprint ect... usually those can be left alone unless your workin from scratch, as those animations are less common to be fucked and can be disabled regardless for shoooty sprint hl style in the base options in game.
      Sometimes you gotta add these to a swep, the one's recommended mostly have them, but its good to add them like i said if they don't... specially crouch pos... just adds way more than something so simple should.
      SO this pack is in the unpacked folder from the zip, in Garry's mod addons... The TFA or other weapon base ect... don't matter, can be subbed (got nothin legit to advise on there, not for lack of tryin.)
      The ' SWEP CONSTRUCTION KIT ' as well, just find it in q menu under weapons, and other... yes... its a weapon... (dunno).
      Then load your model into the viewmodel, its in this case gonna be a C model of some kind but you can copy the actual model from the swep lua... just worry bout the vm or cm or whatnot, the W_ model isn't whats up right now, and is the consistent letter prefix we DONT want here... look for c_or v_ ect...
      (For the recommend swep it's c_IIopnshotgun .mdl file, (don't want you tube to think that's a link).
      Then check the hand or c_hand box, and proceed to the ironsights tab... don't worry bout saving or anything, cause were just here for the numbers and the visual aid.^*^

      From there, go ham and make that shotty hold proud! There is a loose but sticky slider that can be controlled with buttons that are prompted, and tighter control can be had by bumping the decimals at the side... I would caution about messing with the angle, pitch and yaw... this is how we get into a Prey 2016 situation where things don't seem to be pointing forward lol.
      Should you wish to though, I found a trick is to bring the weapon as far back along the y axis as you can so your basically looking through the barrel, (clipped into the gun) Then align the weapon so the crosshair as at the dead center of the barrel, should you want to rotate this, after the fact, it will stay dead center, pitch and yaw are more complicated as adjustments to the xyz flat axis positions are designed to correct to be pointed to crosshairvill.
      This is where hud addons that can do a 3d space crosshair can come into play as your not looking to the x on the screen, so much as passed it to a reasonable range, as if you were zeroing your weapon, (which you kinda are).
      when you've found what feels comfortable for positional, and taken it as far or whatever as you can, then you can extend it with FOV, but this will distort the model, and for the most part you can have your cake and eat it too by this method.
      Just use the button on the tool once you have a good position for each of the things. It will copy either to clipboard or console, or both, (whichever you want) Tab out, and past it in a seperate blank notepad page... then copy just the coordinates (0, 0, 0)
      to each of the things as corresponding to how you set them up in the tool in game.
      It's confusing that it's under ironsights and copies that value, but it's for alot more than just this, but this is the only way I found you get the gun and hands to adjust in the tool visually, so hey, like I said, were just here for the numbers, and numbers beautifully precise numbers you get.
      once pasted, save the lua and if the model hasn't changed in your hands by tabbing back in, go ahead and ditch it and spawn another, or if you don't have the drop weapon addon just respawn and grab it... For me I've had it just change as soon as I tabbed back in once the LUA was saved, but better safe eh>? no need to relaod a save or the map though like the old days and thank god.
      From there you just wanna check it out and make sure what worked in a still image works with the walk and run and shoot and crouch animations ect... things like VMANIP and all the juicy stuff in this video don't clip out with whatever bob cycle you want ect... all the things. If so, just load the tool up and make some adjustments, copy em and paste em and tab back in!
      Your cake. can be eaten, and at a viewmodel FOV that doesn't distort nearly as much as it would otherwise!
      Like not all the cake of course, this is the world lol. ARCCW is perma consolitused on the ZOOOOOO!!!! and TFA requires an external bob animator for most things on-account of the inverse sway it adds with the view-model walk cycle (which is so good it hurts that it's unusable... lol), Seems as if one was recommend here?
      But I'll post if I figure out how to uncouple the movement cycle animations and ass-first sway from TFA... MW... well their kinda twats, so I don't even wanna go there lol but so far it's pretty solid work regardless, haven't opened it up yet. But for stock standard stuffs, you can apply the above to pretty much anything amoungst the swep bases, more or less.... and technically to the defaults, if you can find where the positional stuff is stored for the stock stuffs or a replacement that has that in the pack.

      @@Krisztian08 the problem with doing a blanket fov in source, and while I appreciate that you can even do it with movement, does you have a separation between the view model fov and the camera fov, and normally that would be fine because that's how most games do things, but that's more because that's all you get when it comes to view model placement.. I actually really appreciate the way source does things even if they basically the way that they went around it LOL is is kind of a hilarious having half of the model not even rendered, and that stock extending to infinity because there's no actual trigger hand LOL.
      One of the things that's been a serious issue when going through all the sweps, almost across the board unless you had a very specific team that knew what they were doing putting them together and put time into it.. and this is a factor of the chands which which adds a lot of benefit, but if you're not doing the rigging in like your animation program or whatnot if you're doing it through the just through the swep, it's far more common to see the fob around 70 for the view model, and source just isn't really function that way, it's designed to have enough fov of like 50 or something, and then you have an undistorted view model.. that you place because it has arms instead of a full body, and this is better this is way better usually.
      The problem is it's very inconsistent across the board, and a lot of the efforts to make it work are just throw it in and move the hand joint around which hyperextends it, when the reality is you move the upper arm first, and then you move the lower arm and then you move the hand.. if you just try to extend the wrist, you end up getting Mrs incredible effect which is why a lot of them end up looking that way in the end.
      Now once you've actually implemented the model, you can just move the whole package around and arguably I wish you could just do that anyways, and maybe you can I just haven't figured it out yet LOL.. but haven't gone through them like so many of these packs I can guarin fucking to you I'm not the only one LOL because I can see what they were doing and where they gave up or just didn't bother.
      The irony of course being that fov distorts it significantly on The view model, when you didn't have to.. and because the view model is so close up at one end it looks completely fucking strange just perspective wise, cuz you have two different field of views going on, and also any defects i in the hand bones when configuring it are going to show up playing as day because it's right in front of you and it's going to change between weapons of course depending on the quality.. shit I can't even get similar qualities to go in the same pack outside of the modern warfare guys but even they keep fucking up the scaling which is hilarious cuz it's how you got the tiny guns with the giant hands and I thought that was a trend or something but no no it's it's just scaling that's all, which I was hoping it was cuz that's a dumb trend LOL but an even easier solve from the get-go.. especially considering the amount of detail that they put into it cuz the more detail you put in the more it stands out when it's not there.

    LOL speak of the devil, that's been my problem right now.. more so with the view model Bob though there's camera Bob's easy to find and not really warranted, it's that view model Bob that I'm after LOL, cuz sharpeye for as cool as it is at the conceptual level, is such a ginormous mess at this point.. and probably the worst aspect besides blur is the view model Bob that I think might have been animated after 1930s cartoons of people trying to be sneaky LOL.

    Two things kill me about the workshop well not just two, but.. to right now for now, and probably more later as we're only a few minutes or seconds into this video.. I've searched for days for all the sway and view Bob and Bob and Camra Bob related things as I you know a lot of people confuse them as you know concepts and labels.. I didn't find out that sharp eye was a view Bob and free aim feature until your video, it just seemed to be the root of 99% of the problems of the mod packs that I looked at LOL.. little did I know that it was conceptually at least at one point everything I would have ever wanted, (with the exception of the blur like that's just dumb) and the fact that smoovement, didn't come up within scores of pages that I looked through LOL..
    The other thing is that there's not a good set of c arms for the HEV suit, the closest thing that comes up to matching with the animations for the latest sweatpacks and whatnot or fits at least without flipping is the half-life Alex ones and those are the shortest arms of a long list of incredibly short view model arms featuring The HEV suit LOL including the originals, and the Half-Life 2 ones... I've had to do so many things to try to make them work cuz they're so damn good, like rotating the shotgun 20° gangster just so that the view doesn't clip right through the shoulder where it stops so it's not even clipping it's just literally seeing through it cuz it's done LOL. They have all these gorgeous new arms and remasters and whatnot and, I mean I think Half-Life 2 reanimated tried to extend them the project Half-Life 2 in mod reanimated redux whatever the chain of custody on that is confusing lol. They got like an extra few inches and that helped LOL.. didn't help enough to get good shotgun positioning for the Half-Life 2 shotgun, since the viewmodel arms aren't long enough to actually hold the thing even if they did just have shoulders right where they stopped, the shotguns too big for the arms and those like they're chunky arms, they're just not they're not long enough for the basic model LOL that's been there since the beginning, and the only way that the other arms were technically long enough is cuz they just extended into infinity sort of... And specifically for this model the shotgun and a couple of the others but mostly the shotgun where they get really really long when you look at that in the editor... And damn near nobody's ever like gone out of their way to try on that one LOL... HEv suit gets no love.. shit we wouldn't have the other one if Val hadn't gotten involved and valve apparently doesn't understand shoulders LOL and this is a VR model. Which I actually get because of the scaling, but there's other evidence that they don't understand shoulders like when they repositioned all The view models throughout the entire engine to be shittier, when they were just barely acceptable if you switch from 4x3 to 16x9.. which was like one of the reasons I did actually LOL and they went from Half-Life one where it was perfect it was perfect it was right in the center like you're actually holding it...
    I got to stop I'm going to keep going if I don't LOL... Once again I appreciate it, cuz shit I think I had even seen a video of yours on this a week ago, and fuck me if that never even showed up even through a Google search with all the loose conceptuals I could throw at the idea of of camera animation LOL view model animation or anything...
