Love your work mate. I'm trying to choose rope locally available here in Australia, I would love your opinion on perimeter and skeleton ropes.... I've got 14mm marine rope for the perimeter and was thinking 6mm marine rope for the skeleton. It's double braid polyester with a braking strength of 4800kg for the 14mm and 700kg for the 6mm. What do you think? Cheers from Australia!
Hi Alonso, would you be able to show a more in depth tutorial on using the ratchet and attaching the ropes together and releasing the ratchet. Your tutorials are so informative!! Cheers from Australia
Hey Joel, I don’t personally own a ratchet system and only use pulleys.. I can show how I do it with pulleys and that can be easily adapted to the ratchet system 😊
I can tell that you are speaking from experience. The advice you're giving answers questions I wouldn't have thought to ask (until after I made the mistakes myself😂). Thank you for this tutorial, you're awesome man! I do have one question, since keeping static tension is so valuable, why is paracord used at all? Would it not be better to be static rope throughout?
You’re absolutely welcome! 😊 Some people definitely prefer a more static system but then you miss out on the fun bouncy-ness that a treenet can have 🙌🏼
Hi Im attempting to weave within a metalic structure at home with 4 sides of 4 by 4s. But I was looking for mornlike a basket kind of weaving like paracord knitting... What are your recommendation?
What’s the max length from anchor point to anchor point or tree to tree? I want to build one high up over a creek and it’s roughly 100’ then about 10’-20’ wide. Is that to long???? Your input would be greatly appreciated !!!!!
I think that would be a bit too long for a standalone platform. However, you can build walls on it and the top layer of the walls will help hold the platform up if that makes sense? Worse case scenario, make the perimeter and before you start weaving, go sit on the middle of it and see how much it sags. I think it could work well 😊
I just realized i asked this question thank you so much for your reply What would you recommend for my perimeter and I planned on walls/sides didn’t think it would help but I see now how it will again thanks for the reply
Watching all your webbing vids, on the tv with no account signed in. So liking them on my phone. I need a hobby. I love tying knots, I make paracord doohickies and bracelets. But want to make a space net, needs to be durable as I’m in Oregon.
I’ve watched two videos so far, my man does a lot of talking like we’re in a physics class but there ain’t no showing of how to do the goddamn knot tying
Thank you!! I try to use enough to keep the areas inside small. If I had to guess, I’d say you need to use around 30-45 ft of static rope for the skeleton
In this series I based it more off the theory rather than the exact doing since I think that’s the MOST important part. I am currently working on a new series that will be more hands-on based rather than theory based so please be patient and it will be out at some point 😊
Posted: 1 year ago. Looks like you didn't get the 1000 likes in 2 weeks. Too bad for all the people who wanted a chance at that space net. One thing I noticed though is you have a comment that has a lot of likes when compared to the number of likes on the video. You might consider reading that comment and taking it into consideration. I think it said something like "show what you're talking about". Not much of a video if you can pretty much just listen to it and get as much out of it than you would watching it. Maybe say the camera up so you could explain what you're doing while you're doing it and time lapse the parts in between so we can get both the fundamental explanation along with a real time example to really understand the idea. Just a thought.
@@treenetweaves from what you answered on others questions about length of rope. I could probably guesstimate 100 feet of rope for the skeleton of every approximate 10 X 10 X 10 triangle of service area. What do you think? Then as for the weave would you say multiply it by 4X the length of the skeleton? Or more like 8X?
I'm reminded I'm a visual learner with vids like this. Just disappointed here. Haha maybe I'm selfish by saying that but I thought he was going to show HOW-TO videos. Glad for his knowledge but I can't see it
I’ve gotten a lot of comments from my visual learners and I hear y’all ❤️ I’m gonna redo this series when I have time with less theory and more doing 😊
Dude would really help if you showed everything you’re talking about. Show tying the perimeter. Show you threading by the skeleton.
For the visual learners 😅 but still thankful for the vid ofc
Buddy said everything and yet I learned nothing.
Fr bro talked but said nothing
@@user-ib7wy4oq9etf u mean? This is utube, he should’ve def showed the how-to
@@yonosenada1773 woah being aggressive, why?? I was agreeing with them btw that’s why I said “for the visual learners”

That’s super bomber in my opinion! 🙌🏼 Have fun with the creation process 😊
My god is there anyone out there that actually shows how this is done 5 mins into the video and i still have no idea.
Fr the other tutorials out there are kinda bad too😂

I’m so in! Can’t wait to get started but learning tips and tricks first… thanks so much!!
Anytime! Glad I could help 😊
Are we doing a clove hitch on the perimeter rope for the skeleton?
Yes 😊
Can you provide links for the perimeter and skeleton rope you use? I am so ready to get started! Thank you so much for making these videos!
I get most of my rope from Black Diamond personally but it’s only a good price because I buy in large quantities 😊
How do you remove it? On a tennisbat you have to cut specific one "ropes" so it wont snap together
Hi Im attempting to weave within a metalic structure at home with 4 sides of 4 by 4s. But I was looking for mornlike a basket kind of weaving like paracord knitting... What are your recommendation?
You can do that. Just make sure whatever weave you do is really tight so that it’s comfortable to walk around and lounge on 😊
What kind of skeleton rope do you use?
We are making ours like 20-30 feet up so we will see how tight we can make it
Goodluck!!!
Very good info...thank you

Thank you Alonzo
how do you join the ends of the rope on the skeleton
Clove or constrictor hitches
how thick does the static rope need to be for the skeleton weave?
I like to keep this thin around 6-8mm. Low stretch is more important here :)
Could you use a turnbuckle to tighten your skeleton rope?
Absolutely!
you are great guy. love your work!
Thank you!! 😊
Any tips for making one up high?
It’s the same but you need a way to work at height and stay safe! Will also make a video on this later in the future 😊

@@treenetweaves How much paracord do you think will be needed for the webbing?
You should make a video you actually doing it
I plan on making future videos on this once the weather cools a bit :)
He tells us what to do not how to do
Which type of paracord do you use?
550 paracord
Please! Show your work. Are you actually doing any of it or just talking about it?

I’m going to update the series with a more concise version. Stay tuned! 😊
