I've had the pleasure of hearing a harpsichord up close while I took music theory. It's sounds so magical and looks like a piece of art. Can't wait to see the flute collection on the second floor!
Hey, been following you for a while now. Love your channel, and found this video to be such a great tour for all of us who don't have the opportunity to visit these wonderful places. It also shows a great deal of timbral experimentation along history, which I truly appreciate.
Can't believe you don't have at least 5 times as many subscribers as you now have.
Why doesn't *my* French double sound like that...??
I'm guessing that yours wasn't built by Pascal Taskin ;)
@@ClassicalNerd Sadly, no.
@@ClassicalNerd Nor is it 250 y old...
this is everything my music organologist mind wants in a vid.
FYI the Knee lever was first used on Viennese harpsichords to engage the harp/buff both 8 foot stops circa 1770.
Such a beautiful sounding instrument
Wonderful instruments, especially the one at 13:04. Thanks for making this video!
I clicked just to meet Dr. Strange, but I stayed for the old pianos.
Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Piano Madness
Thanks for sharing!
Can anyone tell me the name of the piece at 20:06? Thank you in advance. A wonderful look at musical history.
First movement of Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata.
amazing! 🎹
yoo nice max patch! you ever think of making any max/msp related vids?
There are so many people who are way more talented at Max than I am-although I'm not opposed to making a video about the interesting things I'm doing in the piece I'm working on.
@@ClassicalNerd hey, i used to think i was crap at max until version 7 came out with all the internal documentation! this sorta coding is mostly just Futzing Around and Finding Out, in my experience.
That's very true. All the same, I don't think a video of futzing around would be very entertaining ... I do really like the piece I'm working on, though!
Thanx, Gentlemen 🌹🌹🌹
Hey, tell Tom I said hi!
i live here
You pack your bags the way I would imagine a classical music composer to do so
