I have a question. I went to Catholic Church and schools growing up but I don't remember ever hearing a priest talk about having to ask Jesus into our heart,believe he died on the cross,was buried and rose again. I just thought everything was good but I had never asked Jesus to be my Savior because I was a sinner and would He come into my heart and be my Savior. We stopped going to church when I was about 10 but when I was 18 I met an amazing couple that opened my eyes. They were Catholic and I stared going to the same church they went to. But they would go to other denominations and invited me to go with them. My heart had never felt so loved as it did when I asked Him into my heart.
Amen, Kathy I agree ! We were never asked or offered the GIFT OF SALVATION ! Learned so much going to Catholic School ! But never offered the GIFT. Yes I felt so much closer to GOD, my relationship became intimate. I became Bolder, more confident & loved by my Heavenly Father ! It’s the time when I met him & actually got to know him. Thank you JESUS !
Keep in mind Kathy, there are false 'Christians' that don't know who Jesus is. They only 'know God'. I have been dragged to False Churches with CEO Christians. You have found Jesus and came to Repentance and that is what will have your name written in the Lamb's book of Life and will save you.
Who's stopping you? Plus, u can ALWAYS ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord & Savior. Believe that he died on the cross for your sins (and the world's sins/everyone's sins), then u can have a relationship with Jesus no matter what's your denomination.
