Fill with Random | Adobe Illustrator

Much appreciated! I also found the "Random Swatches Fill" script very useful to, well, randomly choose shapes! hahaha
I use the script to add random colors to the selected shapes beforehand. So, just select a single shape, do Select > Same > Fill Color and just then making the substituions... much better than choosing one by one :D

Just try, I think these work.

@@nobudesign . I did , but they does not show in the scripts menu. When I add them through "Other Scripts... F12" link from the menu, they give me a popup of the script describing its procedure and what it is for but do not add them to the menu.
So if you know how to add or some workaround or any version for 2019 pls tell me.

Make sure you add the scripts at the rigth directory, and restart your illustrator if you already open.

you should say "all color squares must be EXACTLY in "Swatches" tab. for randomswatchesfill.js
other swatch tabs won't work. to understand this I lost a month. hope this trick will help someone.

Not working for me on Illustrator CC 2019 v23.1 ... I was able to get a different script "Random objects selection" which allowed me to select a given % of a group of objects, so I used that instead to individually recolor each randomly selected 16% subsection of my design into 6 colors.

Great tutorial, wondering though. When I unlink the objects and use the random swatch fill, any objects that have more than one element (like two concentric circles) they get different colours. How do you stop this from happening. Your flower symbols should act the same way but they don't
