This year had 4 red flags. Same as 2016, 1995, 1990, 1989 and 1984. 1987 had 5 race flags (two of them at the first lap of the Austrian GP, back then the race was restarted over full race length for Lap 1 or 2 incidents).

I know others have said but a very touching comment with Jules and Grosjean. It was very scary what happened with Grosjean and it could easily have so much worse.
They took the standings from the Safety Car line 2, which is where the end of the pit exit merges onto the track just before Turn 1. As the red Flag came out so quickly that the field didn't complete the first Sector and some overtakes happened in the corner after the crash, they probably thought this was the fairest solution.
