I learned that the "drywall saw" is actually called a keyhole saw! Thank you! I have a small collection of them (if I see one at a yard sale or flea market for a few bucks, I grab it). Also that 2 man logging saw - that is GORGEOUS! That is definitely wall art. I have a few tools from my dad in my shop, along with a few other mementos. They are great to keep around, each time I see or use them, they always bring me back to thoughts about doing a project with him. Great video my friend!
Thanks for watching. Just realized the biggest tool I have is my dad's Nissan Frontier. It is 2002 model. I've had it since 2016 when he passed away. The AC quit working. So it doesn't get a lot of driving during the summer. But everytime I drive it, I think of him driving it with his boat in the back headed to the lake.
@@FirthFabrications oh that’s a good question. Not sure my kids care much at this point. But at their age I didn’t either. It was only later in life that things like this started to matter.
Im sorry about your losses really choked me up. love your tools!! Who doesn’t love tools the foundation of where we are at today.
Thanks. Yep and one thing for sure. Modern tools aren’t built nearly as well as the older ones.
I also have, and regularly use, an inherited Stanley square. That's a great tool!
Yeah. I love the quality of the older tools. Plus the fact that they were owned by my family makes it even better.

I'm sure your Papa Floyd would be so proud to see you using his tools. Makes me wonder what random tools of mine my kids might find meaning in.

I've passed my fathers bit and brace set to my son in law. They are over 70 years old, still sharp, still ratchet.
I need to think about which tools my kids would enjoy using. Good thoughts.
