wow i feel like ive missed so much with RC in general i used to drive a slash 2wd for fun never really had anyone to run with which is why i stopped but this channel has ignited a spark that is getting me back into it... about to go fix it, great channel thank you for your contribution to youtube.
I truly know what it is like to drive in the snow!!! Yesterday we got like a foot of snow and I couldn't hold back I had to go drive my ten scte in the snow! So much fun!
I am a former offroad racer guy, I am a big suspension geek! When the Revo first hit the scene, I got one to race. Raced stock besides forward only conversion. I dialed the suspension with 20 weight oil, red w/orange stripe springs in front. I can't find my rear shocks atm but I believe I went 1 stiffer, That's what she said! I got away with that using the #3 rocker. The most progressive. This was hell 10 years ago huh. I'm a Dad now LMAO! But I still got my revo :) If you want a low ride height, but not a weak suspension at the bottom, use a more progressive rocker. The more it compresses the more it resists. From there you can use the oil and springs to dial it in on that truck! Hope that helps a bit!
Always interested in seeing fix it videos. There is still a lot of newbies that come here to learn. I know I've learned a lot from watching here. Thanks Medic
Hey Medic, I will always vote for on camera repairs but....that being said...Do the repairs on camera ONLY if you have the time and energy and Jem is well rested! (She needs a rest after bringing in such a beautiful child) I love to see your masterful work but Jem and the little one take prescient over what I want. And if you ever get tired of that ratrod let me know...that is truly badass and after seeing it I looked up hydro-dipping...very cool process and if I can ever afford to get one done I will be ordering one from the guys that did yours. Thanks for the update and please give Jem a hug and kiss on the check from me for a job well done! Your son is beautiful and I hope Jem had a easy time, she is a very cool lady! Take care and God Bless you and your family.
RcSparks is one of the few channels i always hit the like button to. Reason being, is there's been a view times where I've left comments and medic has actually responded back. They actually take the time to help out there views/fans. RcSparks ROCKS!
My son and I enjoyed this. He just loves this rig of your. He's funny cause he looks at me and says daddy do you want one like Medic's. I smiled back and said yea we will plan to get one of those one day soon.
Don't worry about the haters Medic that is one awesome rig!!! The body is sick bro! Congrats on your little one. I have two boys myself. My 4 year old loves your videos and has recently got his first "real" rc, a Traxxas Son-uva Digger. He loves taking it out with me and my rigs. He always wants to drive my SCX-10!
Me and my almost 3 year old twin boys would like to see you fix it on video. Any time I start to watch your chanel they come running. We love it. BIG THUMBS UP.
If it’s not a problem I would like to see the repair on your Reaper Rat Rod. Easier to learn when I watch. I’m still fairly new to this hobby so I tend to be hesitant in taking things apart. It is helpful for me to see what you do first. 👍🏼
I gotta say that body is insane! I think those that don't like it are just jealous.lol Once again grate video, covering the bases from beginner to experienced and still able to keep it all interesting. I still can't get over those wheel and tire combos. If after the new wheel nuts you still have issues you could always squirt a dab of good ole blue threadlock on them.lol just a thought, I know I've had to on some of my builds. Keep up the great work, but remember family first. We will all still be here and understand that as a new father there are priorities.
Please keep building and fixing. I would strongly recommend Savage Wheel nuts and to shim your diff, much better diff life. Also if it is the spider gears being the problem then try grinding down the diff cup where the ring screws onto it. I can send you a vid if you want. I love the Reaper series!
Awesome video! Glad to finally see what actually broke. I would love to see a fixing video. I have an e revo and would like to see the similarities/differences of the summit.
Another excellent video, MEDiC. It really is just like the full size hobby, build it, wheel it, bust it and repeat. I know that I'd like to see the repair/upgrade phase, as might others with the same machine. (You just may be showing them how they'll be spending their time and money in the future. *L*) I look forward, as always, to your next video.
Yes please fix it on camera!! Because I for one totally love all of you so anything you can use any of your RC cars or trucks on camera would be greatly appreciated love you bro
Ive never owned a summit before but I have had a mini revo, which is really just a scaled down version, and I can tell you that those diffs are a pain without a drill... itd be fun to watch someone else take apart though.
Nice break in for this beastly build man! I'm all too familiar with the weakness of these E Revo and Summit diffs. If you were willing to ditch the lockers then you could do the Losi xxl lst diff mod/swap to beef these up. However I'm assuming you'll be sticking with the stock diffs/ lockers etc. so just make sure you shim the new diffs really good. Then set your slipper a tad on the loose side. With these huge tires you will probably just have to beef up your slipper clutch (there's a few good options available) and let that take the extra stress off those diffs. Thanks for the great vids man!
Good video medic! Glad to see your upgrading what needs to be strengthened. If you really want good quality springs for the summit/revo platform check out integy springs. I have the blue and yellow on my Erevo and the help a lot. They are longer and way beefier then the Traxxas springs. I was also wondering about the X-Ball driveshafts. You should get a set of those and test to see if the really are indestructible!
Oh man. Here I had my own RC called Reaper and now that DJ has his RC named Reaper, there went my originality. And I named my Reaper first...still, awesome RC.
Just remember hater are going to hate you can only please so many people a day. You are doing an awsome job. i love watching your videos even if im not in to what rc your showing you have to give it a chance . But if people dont like it they dont have to watch is what I always say. But that is my rant sorry Aaron for doing it. So PLEASE!!!! keep the videos coming as much as you can. Because Jem and Maurice come first! and youtube second we can wait. Thanks Again and keep doing what your doing
Yeah man, I'd like to see a video of you swapping the drive shafts on the summit. I have a summit of my own and wouldn't mind seeing some of the swapped out parts on film.
Was just outside with my Summit! Me and my dog where trailing along! It was dark outside so no filming this time. Lights on the Summit works great! I do have some older videos of my Summit out in the wilderness (where it belongs) ruclips.net/user/rvenesvideos?shelf_id=4&sort=dd&tag_id=UCe9_W_Aa-1woJ6pp-uBOzjA.3.summit&view=46
Medic, you just need double orange springs in the rear to reduce the squat. Changing the rockers will make the back sit lower, the LT-120 have the most ground clearance
please fix it on camera! this is the coolest project of yours in 2013! it's even cooler than the tatra 8x8. by the way ehat about that truck? more vids?
I would love to see a repair video on it when you get parts. I still think those huge tires will still break just about any drive train part eventually. The cold was a big part of them breaking aswell metal and plastic don't mix all to well
Hey I have a summit and have a tekin rx8 t8 combo 2250kv truggy motor on it super sweet anyway I kept breaking shafts and I found a sweet replacement for them at mip at steel and worked like a charm but have to be a little careful there is know easy break point anyway nice rig thanx for great vids
Hey MEDiC I love you and your RC's. So when you did say if we want to see how will you FIX (your TS), I sad "Why not man?" I love when you are doing in front of camera but I know that you have no time to doing that long video. But anyways if you can do it, please make a video with fixing you Traxxas Summit! Thanks bro you are my best RUclipsr :)
Do a repair job on camera its nice to see the rat rod gettingskme fresh parts and when something breaks break it upgrade it if kts not broke upgrade it any ways hahaha amazing fun watching u medic
Hey medic great vid. please continue on making more summit videos any/all will be appreciated. ( and yes we want to see the diff. being changed ) Thanks
Sorry my friend.. i have had no time to show the repairs on Camera.. Being a New Dad, and with all of my other projects on the go.. I just had to fix it so I could move on and have fun!
You don't want to lift the summit you'll snap cv shafts more often. i raised mine and was replacing cv shafts and cv shaft pins more often. keep it in stock form
In the front I noticed there are more holes for the bar that connects to the rocker arm the closer they mount to the center of the truck it will stiffin the suspension and make it sit higher just an ideaa
I was wanting to know if you ever design a on purpose breaking point, to protect the more expensive hard to repair on the trail? I'm showing my farm training, we always had a weak point built into the equipment that was easy to fix, and protected the more expensive, I got to go back to the shop fix. Just like my RC brushed motors, I always solder a stub wire with a deans male end on it, and a adapter wire with the female end on that side, so it's two screws and then just plug the motor in, and back to the fun with almost no downtime!
I'm surprised bro I remember in one of your vids you explained on how to keep certain weak points to prevent heavy damage like to the spir gear or to the gears in the axle just asking I'm still a nooby playing with Walmart RC's but hey I'm still having fun bro
MUST READ!!!!! Traxxas has some hardened steel yokes for the summit and they work I used them on my slash wich is smaller but I have brushless lipo power and I went threw those things basically every day until I upgraded to hardened steel
Hey medic I was just wondering if you are going to change out the diff's on camera. My wife has a summit and I really don't know how to get the diff's off. I just want to learn so in case some thing happen and I need to work on the diff's I will know how thanks medic. Awesome summit buy the way.
I thinkthat you should do a fix video for the reaper and i have been following the videos. I have liked the rc videos you do and i think that they are very cool. I was just wondering if maybe you could do an rc video in michigan.
Have you seen T-bone Racing parts for the Summit yet? Look it up, they have some awesome looking skid plates i have thought about getting but thought you might try it too!
Thanks for the support Medic!
Looking really awesome !
wow i feel like ive missed so much with RC in general i used to drive a slash 2wd for fun never really had anyone to run with which is why i stopped but this channel has ignited a spark that is getting me back into it... about to go fix it, great channel thank you for your contribution to youtube.

Some folks say they don't like it, that's ok, it's my rc I'm having a great time. The best quote I have ever heard
LOVE THIS BEAST! The power that this thing puts out is just monstrous! Thanks for the awesome output bro! Happy Trailing!
Don't worry about the haters Medic that is one awesome rig!!! The body is sick bro! Congrats on your little one. I have two boys myself. i have a summit and i want to bulletproof it to. i will love to see the repair on camera and know which part i need to upgrade. You are awesome Medic!
Wow, looks like somebody was having some serous fun! I would be totally interested in seeing you fix it...
You are going to love the MIP shafts. I have been running a Castle 1717 summit and I have yet to break one of the MIP units. They are very strong.
Do it medic I've watched your vids for a while I enjoy every single one!!!!! Wish I could get my wraith up and running have a good one!!!!
Looking forward to you fixing it on camera medic. I like the hydro dip job medic. It looks boss!

About a month ago I broke my summit the same way... Nice video's Medic!
Sweet Video! Love the footage of the winter wonder land!
I'd like to see the differential change. I've thought about steel diff's on my Maxx. Too much metal? Do not wanna crap out my nitro.
Yes that's probably my favorite part of RC Adventures

Fix it on camera. Love the rat rod body. One of the best paint/dip bodies I’ve seen.

Hey medic are ya looking into th new G6 i will be getting one soon enough

That thing is a beast dude do the drive shaft video!!!!!!!!!
Awsome body ( thats what she said) Nice truck u must have put alot of blood sweat and tears into it ! It loooks and drives great!!!!!!!!!
In the front I noticed there are more holes for the bar that connects to the rocker arm the closer they mount to the center of the truck it will stiffin the suspension and make it sit higher just an ideaa
Why you gotta break your stuff all the time ?? lol
Sweet summit man ! that lid is Bad !!!!
I hope the new parts will keep holding up with the big wheels and dual motors :-) .
I was wanting to know if you ever design a on purpose breaking point, to protect the more expensive hard to repair on the trail? I'm showing my farm training, we always had a weak point built into the equipment that was easy to fix, and protected the more expensive, I got to go back to the shop fix. Medic what size Lipo batteries are you running in this beast? And what do you get for average run time?
I'm surprised bro I remember in one of your vids you explained on how to keep certain weak points to prevent heavy damage like to the spir gear or to the gears in the axle just asking I'm still a nooby playing with Walmart RC's but hey I'm still having fun bro
Definately share i just like seeing others fix, makes me feel better.
Can you please do some of the replacements in a video!!!
THANKS
The Bast part of this hobby is the Repair and maintenance. Gotta keep her running like a well oiled machine and that's what she said
Wow hey at least you got to have some fun with it :)
Yer gonna want to do some upgrades in the Diffs. They are the weak link in the stock Summit. The stock diffs just will not cut it.
MUST READ!!!!! Traxxas has some hardened steel yokes for the summit and they work I used them on my slash wich is smaller but I have brushless lipo power and I went threw those things basically every day until I upgraded to hardened steel
May you fix The Reaper on camera. Thanks medic I love your videos.
Change everything out on camera medic I love the build videos
Great show, can we get a cc-01 cr-01 compared really waiting on the jeep and mog to come up thanks and keep up the great work
those who dislike just don't know !!!! Awesome truck bud!!
Yes I would love to see you install the parts on camera
Hey medic I was just wondering if you are going to change out the diff's on camera. My wife has a summit and I really don't know how to get the diff's off. I just want to learn so in case some thing happen and I need to work on the diff's I will know how thanks medic. Awesome summit buy the way.
Love ur vids but u should take the slash on some rock crawling runs
Shims are a necessity for this thing man and when it is apart it would take an extra 30 seconds to do. Mine haven't stripped since I shimmed mine.
I thinkthat you should do a fix video for the reaper and i have been following the videos. I have liked the rc videos you do and i think that they are very cool. I was just wondering if maybe you could do an rc video in michigan.
hi Medic, I would like to see some more Scx10 "Tips&Tricks"
great vid. very fun to watch.
What are those tires on your reaper called again
A fix or rebuild video would be amazing.
Please do a video on fixing the problem I'm getting back into rc and am very interested in all the mechanics of em
Have you seen T-bone Racing parts for the Summit yet? Look it up, they have some awesome looking skid plates i have thought about getting but thought you might try it too!
where did you get those body posts
