This is Wonderul. As a person who has there epilepsy controlled. I love ❤️ seeing and reading about other issues people deal with. Giving is the biggest "cure" to everything..
I was diagnosed with Epilepsy when I was 2 and had my Seizure Tumor surgically removed when I was 8. I’m photosensitive when it comes to flashing lights.
In response to Sara Strange's question that was asked during the premiere of this episode: If you have epilepsy and are looking to have children, it is important to talk with your doctor as pregnancy can impact the dosing of epilepsy medications and some epilepsy medications are not advised during pregnancy so changes in medication or dosing might be needed. If you have epilepsy and are worried about passing it down to your child(ren), you should know passing it to your child(ren) is only possible if your epilepsy is genetic. Your doctor can help you determine if your epilepsy is genetic through a DNA test which can help inform you of the likelihood of passing epilepsy down to your child(ren). We have many articles on our website about epilepsy and pregnancy if you would like to know more. You can visit our News page ( here: www.cureepilepsy.org/news/) and search “pregnancy” to find articles and the latest research. Also, we had a Seizing Life podcast episode on this topic. You can watch/listen to it here: www.cureepilepsy.org/seizing-life/what-to-expect-when-youre-expecting-as-a-woman-with-epilepsy/
