- A day after the show, we went Hollywood etc for sight seeing. Then we went to my studio and recorded some stuff. Antonio also shared some exercises etc. I will post video about it soon.
It’s an honor to have him in the studio! He is a master of the instrument
I played with Hippolyte Baliardo in 1997, are you related?
Please tell me what devices you use to produce this sound and what is the mic shown in the video in front of the guitar. Please reply. Do not ignore my message.
He is not a master, he IS a genius !!same as the chessmasters, they are many but Magnus Carlsen IS a genius!..😉
Antonio Rey is pure unfiltered art
Esos dedos son de otro planeta mmmmm
Dices tudo
I attended his concert in Abu Dhabi few days back. It was AMAZING.
He is soooo Humble...going to peoples houses and playing their guitars....I love this man. Antonio Rey....the next Paco de Lucia of our generation....Amen!!!
Not just anybody, he in fact was visiting the workshop of a very well known luthier. BUT! Antonio Rey is very humble and modest, a very likeable guy indeed by all accounts.
@ Jo! Que suerte! Un recuerdo para siempre.

hi Jose, the sound of the record is also amazing. You recorded him with the UAD Interface directly? Or with wich Preamp in between? Of course a maestro :)
Esooooooooooo!
Thank you for publishing this video of Antonio Rey, a master of the flamenco guitar.
With all due respect, the sound of the recorded guitar has colorations coming through which you should try to find which they are and introduce frequency absorber (traps) for these frequencies. I could hear it straight away. Do some tests to find these aberrating frequencies, if you have done it already and already tried to find these frequencies that are causing colorations you may need drastic measures however, it could be that if the room/space is too small, it makes it very difficult to tame these colorations. (these frequencies are always in the bass but show up higher up in the case of this recording, how i describe the sound i'm hearing? annoyingly evident in perhaps the 700 to 900 Hz range however, if so, then you would want to look for 350 to 450 Hz problem and then, even 175 to 225 - and 80 to 112 Hz and 40 to 56 Hz However, best way to find the problem is with sine swipes using a program like; Room EQ Wizard or a program like it.
You may have already done all these things; however, the problem is still coming through and I'm just pointing that out for study purposes which might be something you needed to know but wasn't sure about it and needed a second opinion.
Nevertheless, thank you for your great effort to bring music to us.
1:01 magia!
Oleeee
WHATS UR GUITARS NAME?
Boaz. Jose Tanaka Model.
@@josetanaka NICE! THNX
Aguaaa🤌🏼🤍
Is he imitating Vicente Amigo or does he say it's his own creation?
Modern flamenco died with Paco de Lucia, now flamenco guitarists are putting all their focus on technics and how to impress people, they go through the fretboard doing absolutely nothing.
You sound ignorant have you listened to his songs?
Could be further from the truth what a dumb comment
Antonio come to Brazil have children here, make lot´s of babies, with need flamenco players here, we are tired of samba ! lol
