It's time to celebrate Working Rigs, old and new, from Matchbox with a cameo appearance of classic 1-75 from the late 70s and early 80s. Let's have some fun!
Moin from Cux 👋🏻 Friday morning and I'm already on another "trip around the world".... 😆 Just now at David's in good ol' Alabame 🇺🇸 and now in Perth 🇦🇺 Working rigs... Yup, always something special for an ex-truckie 😃 (1:04) Road scraper Reminds me of the time I built the "real steel" versions of these. (A big company in the west of Germany, working internationally. One job I was involved in was even shipped to Australia 👍🏼😜) (2:07) GMC 8500 "Top-kick-tree-trimming-truck..." (I like the term 🤣) The colour scheme is very reminiscent of the MB "National Parks" models. (4:33) International Boxtruck I know a few versions of this, the Good Year version is unknown to me.... but cool 😎 (6:16) International Workstar Dump Truck I used to drive a three axle dump truck myself.... Unfortunately not something that cool. It was a M A N 26.321, painted orange (26 ton gross weight, 320 hp, first modification) What's my favourite movie quote: "Some men are born in the wrong century, think I was born on the wrong continent...". 😂 (8:06) Oshkosh Container truck A sought after rarity and a stunning model. (Did I ever mention that I like military models ?) My personal star of the show 🌟 (9:15) Roadgrader The declared best friend of every Outback truckie and one of the greatest MB models ever 👍🏼 (It took me a long time to get at least the red version.... 🙄😁) Well... What can I say T, I'm thrilled, clearly both thumbs up for it 👍🏼 👍🏼 Many a thanks for sharing 🙏🏼 To you, your missus and your sofa tigers Ziggy and Molly a bonza weekend and stay safe and sound. Keep up the good work, mate 😉 Greetings from the DCcoB at the lighthouse end of the Elbe River. 😎👍🏼🇦🇺🍻🇩🇪👍🏼🤠
Another very enjoyable video, thanks Ty. To my surprise I really enjoyed seeing all those working rigs, precisely because I DON’T collect them. I did buy the FedEx truck because I used to drive a very similar 27” gas(petrol) truck when I was a courier for FedEx in the early 90’s. I see yours has the same issue with the back door flapping around when it’s in the closed position. I would like to add a National Parks excavator to my collection. Well presented, thanks again!
I have lots of these, I even have that A6 military 8 wheeler, its a tough one to find. I would like the blue loader truck with the fold down sides, but they are just not available in the UK, its the home of Matchbox, but the availability is poor here.
