    That is just a 3 hour long cinema. You go inside the theatre, watch the movie, enjoy and then come out. People who are telling that Ranbir’s character portrayed toxic masculinity, too much violence. I think that is the biggest achievement of an actor that people believed his character fully.

    • @IBRAHIM_KHAN2
      @IBRAHIM_KHAN2 6 месяцев назад +45

      Lol bro they didn't believe his character they just understood the vision of the director after all it is a director whose vision is shown on the screen 😂 but anyway if Arjun Kapoor was there in place of ranbir then people would have just ignored the movie. It is ranbir kapoor who did full justice to the director's vision and gave his career's best performance

      The debate is not whether Ranbir did justice to his role or not, it is whether the movie impacts (negatively) the society or not.

    • @kishannakum104
      @kishannakum104 6 месяцев назад +11

      It’s not about Ranbir or movie is correct or not. When you feel negative or need motivation you watch Videos or read books to boost confidence or motivation. But you watch such brutal killings and violence , how you cannot get impacted by this ? May be you are mature but there are people who might get influenced by this . Specially 18 year teen .
      When I say influence I don’t say he become terrorist but what I am trying to say is teens become less patient in decision making overall in life. In short it gets Impact one way or another if people keep watching these kind of film.

    I recently had a short discussion with my uncle, who is 55, and said "aap ke time ke movies mein b heros unrealistic and problematic the.. how did that impact discussion amount your friends group?" He immediately said "beta humare andar common sense tha. We never felt the necessity to build our character as per some actor who acted in a movie. Watching movies used to be a part of entertainment. We've just enjoyed our money and time's worth and then move on with our life once the end credits roll" - it really changed my thought process of how I should watch a movie. Okay so tell me a character that is arrogant, animalistic and violent should be with women?
      The man is shown to do the most unhinged things.
      I believe the depiction is perfect for the story the movie tells. It's a movie that is a work of fiction. It's not real life. Not every movie needs to "represent"
      That would lead to what MCU has turned into now. Or Disney or most of Hollywood with their trying to influence real world with their stories and failing to connect and producing cinematic garbage.

      What's the issue? Puri film mei 2 character hain jisse logon ko issue ho rha h women treatment ka, RK & BD.
      Vo dono hi Animal hain, unhone vaisa hi kiya jaise koi character jise Animal kaha ja rha h vo krta.
      Log non veg khate hain paka kr, naan ke sath, chawal ke sath, direct. Or ek animal kaise khata h- direct apne shikar ko pakadta h or cheer faad deta h or brutally kha jata h.
      Now its like u say us sher ne bahut galat kiya usko us bakri ko vaise nhi khana chahiye tha, paka kr roti chawal ke sath khana chahiye tha!
      Vo Animal h vo insan ki tereh kyun khayega?
      Just like RK ka character Animal h, vo women ko buri tereh hi treat karega, why u expect him to be good? Why u want to learn from him, why society wants to learn from him jo use dekh kr society ke log bigad jayenge??

    Dhruv Rathee in his video on Animal said that if someone is defending this film it means that they themselves are toxic, and they feel that this film is giving them validation. I personally disagree with this point, just because someone likes a film doesn't necessarily mean that they behave the same way or have similar opinions as the protagonist.

    As someone who didn't like Animal as much, I am not in support of the outrage on violence. My main problems with this film were just writing and character development of the females in the universe of that film which also in a way originates from average writing. There is no cherkov's gun to tell us the reason for Ranvijay's alpha male ideology, the nuances of the father son relationship, the history of swastik corporation is just brushed over, the villains having no character development, etc are the only problems which make the film loose but on the other hand its the violence and action was the only thing which hooked me up till the end.

Like literally today Jailer was on the TV and my family was watching I just watched 2 scenes in the middle where that cutting head scene came and I was like "this is already more violent than whole of animal".... why are people overreacting when Ranbir did much much less in his 3 hours than Rajnikanth Sir !
    p.s. also having watched H'wood films with the like of Deadpool and John Wick series, animal's violence portrayal on screen is peanuts compared to it. So, it shouldn't be much shocking for the modern audience already well versed with h'wood films.

    Anil Kapoor's acting
    Some bgm scores
    Set designs (e.g. Bobby Deol's wedding, corridor fight)
    ★Bad aapects:
    Editing
    Rashmika, young Ranbir's acting. Overacting of many side actors.
    Cheap interpretation/inspiration of many movies (50 shades, the Godfather, John wick, Oldboy)
    Unnecessary scenes, unnecessary decisions made by characters that make no sense to me (feels like the director just wanted to make it VIOLENT, but was not able to portray the good reason of violence)

    See violence is not a problem here. We all see more violent and brutality than animal movie. Honestly animal movie haven't that kind violence we haven't watched before. Whatever movies you mentioned those are well represented and no use of nonsense and erotic languages. Animal use useless, nonsense and erotic languages mostly. And the main character doesn't have any characteristic value and alpha mannerism behaviour towards others. That is the main problem here. Honestly that is not the behaviour of alpha men which they want to present. Alpha men have power and mannerism both, director should have knowledge about it. This is the problem of the director's way of thinking about nothing else. His previous movies are on the same page. Director should know the difference between nonsense and violence. People complain about the presentation of the main lead and opposite lead character. People don't have any problem with brutal action scenes. You just compare animal with other South Indian movies to justify it's nonsense erotic languages and scenes not the brutality. Bro those movies don't have any kind of those type of scenes. So chill...

      context matters. that was a tragedy and it was historically accurate. i am not saying the violence in animal was problematic, but this argument is dumb. when you notice the violence, it takes you out of the story. that is weak writing. the violence should be in the bounds of the story like how it was in leo or rrr. story matters. even jailer is a weak film in that aspect. but none of these movies are problematic because of the violence in my opinion. animal is not the most original, strongest story to come out of bollywood. that is why the violence sticks out here specifically and critics call it out. hope that was clear.

    If I were to talk about myself, I don't care about violence as long as the plot is gripping. It's cinema and just meant to be taken as fiction.
    It would be refreshing to see something new from sandeep. I seriously wanted to see something different in animal but oh boy was i disappointed. He was still stuck in his kabir singh phase rather than focusing on the main plot that was promised to the public.
    However, I genuinely hope that Vanga can surprise us with something different, without relying on the "kabir singh type romance". I don't have an issue with movies that explore violence as a theme as I understand it's all fiction. Sandeep needs to up his game.

      @@nadeemahmed3443 I'm glad that you enjoyed the movie. But my experience was quite different. I couldn't help but feel that Sandeep simply copied the script from Godfather and added his own signature alpha male romance.
      I was expecting a toxic father-son relationship and some intense Bobby-Ranbir fights but instead I was bombarded with dumb double meaning jokes, excessive misogyny, unnecessary romance and minimal screen time for Anil and Bobby. I couldn't understand the need for all the toxic romance, the pad talk, "mere underwear konse detergent se dhoya" scene, dialogues like "you have a big pelvis", the hawan scene, the church scene etc.
      Personally I found Kabir Singh to be a better movie because this one had me bored to death during the second half.
      I was eagerly waiting for the movie to end and didn't feel any excitement even during the PC scene.
