Nice clean and tidy boat. Cant understand why you would want a 50hp motor on a sail boat, a 10 or 15 4 stroke would be more than enough. I look forward to watching the rest of your videos, Cheers
thier a planing hull design with water ballast so dump the ballast and boat behaves like a speedboat and to get onto the plane it needs atleast 40hp......watch the macgregor 26x official promo here .... ruclips.net/video/hswrBzrWEVc/видео.html
Standard for the boat and part of the design. Has a hull design that can ride on top of the water and for actual sailing it uses a water ballast to stabilize. Normal sail boats won't get the same utility out of a larger engine, but they are more stable in the water.
The hull is designed to plain, so she is basically a poor handling power boat and a poor sailing boat, but at least it can do both. I would not mind one for protected water sailing, but just don't expect much out of her and you won't be too disappointed.
Hi do we need a license for this sailboat?
Very nice :)
what happened with the macgregor? no new videos...still got it?
the guy an idiot all he does it keep doing up another boat no real focus on anything
when the switch is in parallel, is it charging both, the house and motor battery at same time?
no more mac videos?
Some in the making at the moment now the nice weather is returning...
are you selling her ?
What year is your x?

I got a new one in 2002 with a 50 hp Yamaha. Sold it a year later. Worst sailboat I've ever owned! Great for boat camping but thats all.
