Since Billy is my 4th cousin I can verify that Elvis had Cherokee heritage. So do I. Elvis looked very indian in the two movies he made. Thats part of the reason he got so dark when he tanned.

@delladawn1149... The claims of Elvis having Cherokee blood may be valid.
The Mississippi and Alabama area was where several Indian tribes were located, and the largest population of Indians was the Cherokees (according to my studies as a child in school).
My parents were from Mississippi, too. Mom's family claimed that we also had Cherokee blood in our heritage; but I don't know if that is really true.

Thank you for another great video.
When I was a kid in the 70's, my parents believed that Elvis may have been of South European descent (Italian, Greek or Spanish) Lol given his dark complexion
because a lot of people from that part of the world have olive skin. I later found out that he had Cherokee ancestors.

Being the oldest, I was the first to have kids. My dad told me, "I don't want anyone calling me Grandpa" because my dad still thought of himself as some young stud. So, my kids called him by his first name, but called my stepdad Grandpa. When my brothers started having kids, my dad changed his mind, and wanted ALL of the grandkids to call him Grandpa. The other little ones did, but mine never did. He regretted that. I think Elvis' grandkids would've just called him Elvis or Boss, but later on, he would've also regretted that.

My Aunt Penny was Gene and Louise's nanny while they lived at Graceland. She took care of their children. She had a bedroom just off the garage, where Gene & Louise's children slept. I wish we could see those rooms on the tour. The tour guide did show us the door that leads to that area, which is in the new VIP lounge. Aunt Penny loved Billy and Gene and their family's. She always spoke so nicely about them! They loved hanging out with Gary Pepper together. I was given her special mementos of these times when she passed away. . I have thought about that too, " what would Elvis want to be called if he had lived to see his grandchildren"? I think maybe Papa E ? What ever he picked... you know it would have been a good one. lol!!
I have a question or two. Did Elvis like Liberace? Did Elvis get some of his ideas on how to dress from Liberace or did Liberace get his ideas from Elvis? I noticed they had some similar ways like for an example- the capes, the canes, the sequences on thier clothing, and they even liked the same kind of cars . One time I watched a video of one of Liberace's concerts and the band was playing the space odyssey music. I think that's what you call it. The same music they played right before Elvis stepped out on stage. They had some similar styles, but who started it first?

Very interesting stories about Elvis. I think Billy and Elvis looked like brothers when Elvis was young. However, Elvis's looks changed when he got older. I think that is where the Cherokee came in, but Elvis did die his hair black. I think also, Elvis had some German and Scottish in him from his Daddy's side. Elvis had a lot of responsibilities, taking care of everybody and doing what Tom Parker demanded of him. He did have a kind heart toward those who were less fortunate than himself. No wonder he loved going to Hawaii. He could relax and be himself. Thank you, Billy, Joe and Danielle. 😊

I just love you all. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing all the Elvis memories and stories. My grandparents saw Elvis 2 times in concert, and I grew up hearing the stories. They were massive elvis fans. And now I’m a huge Elvis fan and my 5 year old daughter LOVES elvis as well:-)
My question: did Elvis and Marilyn Monroe meet? I’ve heard different stories and was wondering if Billy knows the correct story…
    Thank you again!! God Bless

Thanks for the personal stories about Elvis. I don't know what the, "Bad story" you mentioned is, but please...no bad stories about Elvis! Since passing, his image has been bashed around too much. Keep positive! Thank you for sharing.

Most of the time Sam Thompson. He said it was his job for the most part to bring her and take her back.

@@aburrows4655 I never heard anything like that. I know on the road Billy or Charley always had a room next to Elvis but I've never heard about anyone next to him at Graceland. Billy could answer that question. Good question!

QUESTION: We all know Elvis loved Monty Python, and used to get their shows from somewhere, did he ever see John Cleese's 1st season of Fawlty Towers in 1975 ? Thank you ! 😊
