I rang in 2023 in Dubai and I was very pleased with how clean and safe that country. I would like to legally immigrate there. Because of its location being so close to many of the countries lots of ‘refugees’ are from, the reason why those refugees are not going there considering Dubai is safer than the UK, US, France is because they have strict immigration laws.
No Country is perfect but I personally Love Dubai, Qatar, Maldives. Especially the environment and variety different vibes of places like where to relax or have fun. Also no one is perfect and bad people are exist everywhere But the people there in general know manners and have good value.
This debate is SO needed in our societies at this point in time. To at least be able to acknowledge that the west's definition of freedom may not be the ultimate value for all countries and societies would do us all more good than harm I think. What defines freedom to one person may be like imprisonment to another. Thank you so much for this!
The Switzerland point was silly. The swiss would have no gun crime even with American gun laws. They have an intact culture that is homogenous. Its silly to pretend like the laws are followed by criminals. They simply have less criminals.
Their laws are stringent; you can't just come and work here. Employers must sponsor you before you can obtain a visa. This system ensures safety, as any issues can result in deportation to your home country. I live in this country; they have similar government system live UAE/GCC countries.

Well done Zuby - great comments as always. I think you are right that the ideal western model should be "hard" liberty from the state (with enshrined freedoms), but then with "soft" restrictions in the form of behavioural expectations from other societal groupings. I wonder how you process, knowing that people in the West get visibly made and think that you're "victim blaming" if you point out the truth that people(particularly Women) fare better in more restricted societies with lesser "Mens & Women's Rights".
It is often said that anyone willing to give up a little more freedom for a little more safety deserves neither. But I think that crash helmets are actually a good thing.
This is so true. For example, USA prioritized freedom in Afghanistan, where things like woman mortality at childbirth is still high. It's lunacy to assume that people of Afghanistan would prioritize freedom before mortality is solved. It shows how USA and wealthy western countries tend to forget the issues they no longer have, and so totally misunderstand priorities of developing nations.
Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali, talked a lot about Church Issues, that even Black Churches also have Separations based on Backgrounds. Let alone Race Backgrounds. There are even "Korean Churches", like wth wtf?? Religions have points that teach us all about Humanity & Togetherness. Yet, they separate themselves. Every Religions have Sect/Cult that negatives, but Christian have like thousands of it compares to any other Religions. It's so unfortunate. Also there are "Lgbt Churches" "Gay/Lesbian & No Trans/Bi Churches". They truly contradict themselves. Exactly like AndrwT4te said. Actual Shari'a Law Actually have benefits & good points for Modern era like this. Too bad many people sway by "Dangerous Idea", even Most Muslims in Majority-Muslims Countries still don't understand, many of them also afraid. I'm not religious yet, but i Support Shari'a Law because this Modern era is IN NEEDS of Reminder, Lessons, Warnings, Controls, Rules of Life & Humanity. In Islam, when Muslims do Hajj & Umrah, you can meet anyone, any races, any backgrounds, any careers, any clicks, any ages, any differences, all around you, except they're all a Muslim with the same goals of doing Hajj/Umrah. There goes with Mosques/Masjids & Mushalas.
Their laws are stringent; you can't just come and work here. Employers must sponsor you before you can obtain a visa. This system ensures safety, as any issues can result in deportation to your home country. As for Arm I really have no idea how it operates.
The sum of it all is if we would most truly enjoy the gift of heaven, let us become a virtuous people; then shall we both deserve and enjoy it. While, on the other hand, if we are universally debauched in our manners, though the form of the constitution carries the face of the most exalted freedom, we shall in reality be the most abject slaves. - Sam Adams

I find it best to contrast what his happeneding with the case of nuclear power: Germany dropped it because people have been brainwashed by a 24/7 TV Live Horror Show about Tschernobyl and Fukushima (great parallel to Covid, btw!) while being right now fully depended on French nuclear to prevent a blackout. In contrast China has patiently built up its own capabilities by having Western and Russian companies built reactors in China, studied them and is now building their own reactors by the dozen. This is what being "open to the world" means. China invented gunpowdered, but European powers returned this technology upgraded into modern guns.
China is failing, real estate bubble bursting, floods, unemployment, etc. do some research. They are also building coal fired plants, their infrastructure is falling apart due to crappy building regulations.China isn’t a good example.
That's right a moral and virtuous people are taught to control one's passions, desires etc. If a society cannot control from the inside (as a Christian I believe Christ helps a person to control him or her self) the government has to control it from the outside. That is authoritarianism maybe totalitarianism because every aspect of a person's activity has to be under control of the rulers. Problem is often rulers are more interested in power than protecting the citizens
I like zuby and I agree with a lot of his takes, but I must say chaos and anarchy are not synonyms of one another. Chaos means without order, or structure, anarchy means without masters, and that has nothing to do with order or structure.
what jumped out at me was that while the men were all dressed neck to feet. the women had far more of their bodies on display than their brains. Zuby, if you're going to talk about women being equal to men, have women on the panel who are equal to men, who can speak up for themselves, who are informed, who have great ideas, who can dress as equals to men. if you had men on the panel who are not so able and were dressed in booty shorts and vests, the panel and the show would not be taken seriously. The women had next to nothing to say except to giggle or just agree with what the men were saying. that's not a great panel. one played with her hair which is generally what women do when they do not feel confident. next time, have women on the panel who are equals to the men on the panel. but great to hear what is on your mind, in your brain. it's always a joy to hear Zuby, even when i don't agree. which isn't often.
Zumy has been on panels of main stream media in multiple countries and was a panel in the UK of women. He handles himself the same way every time. He's got a podcasts where he's had women on and had plenty of conversations. So idk why the hell you feel entitled to telling others how their content should be. When we have shows like the view spewing their horrendous garbage. So happened to women being inherently virtuous and equal? He didn't see that as less then, I didn't see that. Why do you need a woman who's always equal to a man in a way that you deem feasible. While you're quick to assume the behaviors of others and interpret through your own experiences and biases. And make your assertions to be the fact and just apply it as then having to be the truth of what that is.
I thought the woman next to Zuby looked vapid. I wear make-up to and can dress to impress but I know stuff about politics. I wouldn't sit there looking vapid.
Speaking for the Utahn’s experiencing the Californians moving in, we wish they wouldn’t. Liberalism has turned most of Salt Lake City into a place just as bad as San Francisco in many ways. They show up and haven’t learned a damn thing. I’m from the Salt Lake area and I can’t take my 14 year old to places downtown WITH me, that I went by myself at that age in 2004. I’m fighting climate change measures out here on the hinterlands from Salt Lake liberals trying to tell me how to farm. I wish you well in Dubai and very slightly wish I was going too.
Always funny how Scandinavia is kept out of these conversations. Americans: Do you not see scandinavian countries as the same as U.S, NZ, Australia, UK? if so why? Or is it just that they are smaller countries?
Slavic countries also.... Family is top, freedom is irrelevant as it does not exist for everybody. For few to have freedom, most have to work for them. And you are never free, because your actions are constraint by laws, up bring, culture, etc.
The East isn’t really winning right now. Culture is just one factor among many that determines success, and it usually takes a long time for major effects to show. Eastern countries are struggling a lot with political corruption, violence, economic issues, and the west has massive influence on them politically, economically, and culturally. At best
It's not a matter of winning its already won. The west is dying, corrupt, end days of Rome shit. massive homelessness, blatant corruption, women are men and men are absent and kids are being preyed upon.
Nah... both side struggle with same issue, the different is eastern country dont have enough power to cover it up like western side. Its not coincident most of eastern corruption, violence, economic issues blown up to surface because of the tip or propaganda from western country for example throu their media coverage power.
Let's not forget about Anime and Manga is kicking the west entertainment's butt. Yeah sure they from Japan. But still, that is also proving Zuby's point about the east is still winning
Sorry Zuby, but the women in the panel would not ba able to go out dressed the way they are in any Gulf country (including Dubai) without being hassled to death by Arab men who assumed they were prostitutes.
Islamic counties are not the east also oil rich countries that were headed the worlds most covted resource isn't success it luck now look at INDIA VS PAKISTAN
Too bad women are not safe at all in the Middle East in general. I live generally very conservative. But I choose freedom over safety. The Middle East is not winning in many ways. The issue isn't that we don't have laws. The issue is the US is not upholding laws in some places. My city is super safe. There are plenty of places I can live in the US where is is safe, and I can defend myself. I would never, ever move to most countries in the Middle East.
All the eastern countries have great control of their narratives and will spare no effort to stop anyone says anything else. The differences are just how extreme they will enforce that one narrative. An one narrative nation does create unity and keep their people focused so they won't pay attention to all the other problems. Just like the US, China also has unemployment issues with their younger generations but CCP tells their younger generations to hate the westerners and to take back Taiwan by force as a distraction. This works better then the western liberty as this allows their citizens to bond quickly then the western countries. Yes, there is a trade off but so far I am seeing all the super powers heading to a same direction.
The highest value a society places into is most affected by its history. Westerners have to understand why some countries do not place premium on the freedom/libery like what Westerners "typically" portray. These countries, for most of their history including mine, is mired with conflict, disease, disasters, and death. We place a high premium on safety and stability first and foremost. The problem comes with people. mostly Westerners, exporting and universilizing their ideas thinking what they have is the natural order of the world. No it isn't.
Zuby wants to live where he can walk down the street wearing his Rolex, how nice Zuby has an expensive watch. I don't give a damn about ego symbols or what time it is. I want to live where I can afford to eat and keep a roof over my head.
Wow. I like listening to zuby cause his accent is exactly like mine but this video... I didn't like hearing freedom is the problem. Only stupid people quit listening when they hear something they don't like. I'll be chewing on this for a while. Thank you for challenging my beliefs Zuby.
Theres is a VERY narrow balance betwen tyranny, and disordered freedom. People default to being taken care of. Tyrants take adbantage of that, by creating disordered freedom, like whay the west is seeing right now. It's much harder for tyranny to surface in communities with ORDERED freedom. That's what we had and are losing. When freedom becomes completely disordered, we find ourselves yearning for a tyrant, just to regain order.
I think he means: freedom without limits because if freedom has limitations within a society, is it truly freedom? Does a serial killer not deserve freedom in its truest form? Maybe a pedo? Like the saying, “I’m okay with that as long as no one else gets hurt”, safety comes before the freedom.
Freedom it's the problem, it's unlimited freedom, besides in the west you aren't free, you can make some extremely facile choices that don't really matter in the slightest, but America is one of the most locked up and gunned down populations on planet earth, and among the rich countries it's by FAR the least free.
@psyck Also what does freedom actually mean, you go around earning all this money having a lovely time but guess what you cant even get basic medical care without destroying wealth. You turn the corner in downtown LA tents, are you feeling safe walking down those roads If you have to worry about doing a normal thing, like riding a bicycle , and not get robbed of your airpods. Are you actually free? If you need to work 2 jobs to pay rent and survive, are you free? That just sounds like some person fooled me into thinking I'm free to do what I want, but actually placed many invisible boundaries and trapped me in them. While they benefit from the freedom
I think Zubby got it a bit wrong here. I think both conceptual and empirical evidence shows that liberty is the greatest aspiration that the society that is to prosper must aim. And from this liberty, as traditionally understood in the Lockean philosophy, comes security, prosperity and everything that the West has produced, which in results shaped the modern world as we know it. To argue that the East is winning or to level the group of values as indifferent is to turn the blind eye to clearly visible differences between the West and East (communist/socialists/Islamic countries)
Isn't Zuby being naive here, at best? Sure woke western goverments took away freedoms but that's because they're following China's lead on how to control their ownpeople (ask Trudeau), NOT because that's how western democracy is intended to work. As if he and others like him can live well is Muslim countries, that's because: a) He's wealthy b) He went to countries who have double standards for wealthy tourists/ foreigners. I mean, let me know when he spends 3 years living as a foreign worker in say Saudi Arabia or Iran or Afghanistan, and THEN tell us how "safe", "free", and "great" you felt living over there as a working class non Muslim. And finally: if people overall preferred safety over liberty, why aren't migrant caravans lining up around the Equator to move into all these Islamic paradises, and China?
What a pile of rubbish! USA was not founded on radical freedom or rugged individualism. The founders told us, to keep the republic we would need to be a pious people - freedom from religious persecution, not radical freedom! All inverted - individualism used to mean self responsibility.

Had a girlfriend, who lived in Africa 17 years. When she found out I try & only fly ME3, she asked me how I was treated as a woman. I truly was saddened that she had no idea. Great & truthful video!,, 😎✈️😎
The silence of the ladies on this panel speaks volume on how quality and competent Z is.
This debate is SO needed in our societies at this point in time. To at least be able to acknowledge that the west's definition of freedom may not be the ultimate value for all countries and societies would do us all more good than harm I think. What defines freedom to one person may be like imprisonment to another. Thank you so much for this!
Freedom IS safety
The Switzerland point was silly. The swiss would have no gun crime even with American gun laws. They have an intact culture that is homogenous. Its silly to pretend like the laws are followed by criminals. They simply have less criminals.
Their laws are stringent; you can't just come and work here. Employers must sponsor you before you can obtain a visa. This system ensures safety, as any issues can result in deportation to your home country. I live in this country; they have similar government system live UAE/GCC countries.
Thank God we have non of the woke BS.
Alhamdulillah.
The woke BS is enforced under a police boot --- the same boot that vanishes when the feral criminals are set loose on what remains of the general population.
Switzerland gave women the right to vote in 1971.
Coincidence? I don't think so
What is special about 1971 and Switzerland?
@@Gdilse It means that historically Switzerland has been a prosperous western nation without suffering from the cancer that is western feminism, making it a unique situation in the whole world, because usually countries not affected by western feminism have been from the third world.
@@contraitaly7800 Ahh okay, I thought there was some sort of event or something I didn't know about. Yeah 1971 is way later than most western countries, that's pretty interesting.
7:00 You are clinging to the past , the last few years all these freedoms have been eroded to the point that they are almost lost.
A lot of these podcasts that have like a panel of 10 people, have like 7 people too many. I see a stage full of people and only 3 people are talking.
Well done Zuby - great comments as always. I think you are right that the ideal western model should be "hard" liberty from the state (with enshrined freedoms), but then with "soft" restrictions in the form of behavioural expectations from other societal groupings. Complete freedom with no boundaries is as bad as no freedom.
Who was the guy with the dollars behind him? Was that the host? He didn't come across well if it was.
There has to be balance.
I want global freedom - free those globes, baby!

That was Ben Franklin who said that.
Thats a good line
Enjoy sticking those "crash helmets" in your arm because the government wants you to be a good boy.
Some very good points here, makes me think about what’s more important in life. True about the West too.
this man is speaking sense ...
I could honestly listen to you for hours and just Nod my Heard along the way , how can one man constabe making so much sense ...?
"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety," ~ Benjamin Franklin
I work remote and I have had colleagues who moved to Dubai and they love it
This is so true.
I don't think safety and freedom are mutually exclusive.
Absolutely accurate assessment. If you lose family, religion, social structure you descend into Portland or San Francisco.
Great perspective. I always admired what Zuby brings intellectually.
BTW I couldn't take my eyes off that stunning woman next to him.
To save on taxes? Despicable.
So much regret on that girl's face I almost felt sorry for her... 😄
My understanding about Switzerland is that people there actually do have the right to bear arms as opposed to what was said in the show.
Correct.
Their laws are stringent; you can't just come and work here. Employers must sponsor you before you can obtain a visa. This system ensures safety, as any issues can result in deportation to your home country. As for Arm I really have no idea how it operates.
Yeah, I truly have difficulties to differentiate current reality of "freedom" from anarchy.
absolutely wonderful ... just because you can doesn't mean you should do it .....by @Zuby
7.10 thank God he dropped that.. there is no freedom of speech in uk
- Sam Adams
My country have little Atheist, mostly Muslims (biggest ppltns in the World), and thsn big numbers of Christians, Hindustan, Buddhist, 2 other Beliefs.
But Trash Gov make the people, culture, ruined exactly like US and we're now closer to Commies ideology with less and less of Freedom of Speech (at least US still have a lot of variety People that brave to boycott & speak through Events & Online).
We fight between left & right even the Religious ones. We can only rely on Conservative Muslim Education-figures, and hundreds of them killed.
If I get ask to move, I want to move to Qatar, Dubai, Maldives, or some Cities in some Countries that accepts People With Religions especially Muslims because they all generally still hold the Conservative Values, Humanity Values, Religion Values, while Safer that my country.
No places/Countries is perfect, No One is perfect, but they're safer far than my country.
Why does that chick next to him have a permanent smile??
Dafuq?
As i was taught, freedom starts after the God's boundaries. This sums it up
Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly in adequate to the government of any other. - John Adams
I’m from Singapore 🇸🇬 us females can go out at 1am in short shorts and a spaghetti strap top and no issues.
I like zuby and I agree with a lot of his takes, but I must say chaos and anarchy are not synonyms of one another. Chaos means without order, or structure, anarchy means without masters, and that has nothing to do with order or structure.
I think he's wrong right off the bat there. It is money. Not freedom. It used to be freedom, but not anymore
😂😂. What are you talking about
based on freedom. Not money.
Does the girl on the right know whats being said lol
Freedom from or Freedom to?.........................Sprinkle,sprinkle.
Who are all the cast
what jumped out at me was that while the men were all dressed neck to feet. the women had far more of their bodies on display than their brains.
Except for Saudi you can 'drink what you want to drink' if you're an expat albeit not in public but it is perfectly legal
As an American, most Americans couldn't even pick out Scandinavia on a map
I'd say you've pulled mate.
Worlds 1st 100% Ethanol fuelled electrified hybrid is gonna be showcased at G20. Tesla whaaat? 😅
Slavic countries also.... Family is top, freedom is irrelevant as it does not exist for everybody. For few to have freedom, most have to work for them. And you are never free, because your actions are constraint by laws, up bring, culture, etc.
Who was the girl sitting next to Zuby and is she allowed to dress like that in Dubai?
Who is the black haired girl?
The East isn’t really winning right now. Culture is just one factor among many that determines success, and it usually takes a long time for major effects to show. Eastern countries are struggling a lot with political corruption, violence, economic issues, and the west has massive influence on them politically, economically, and culturally. At best
It's not a matter of winning its already won. The west is dying, corrupt, end days of Rome shit. massive homelessness, blatant corruption, women are men and men are absent and kids are being preyed upon.
lol
the family structure in the west isn't "winning" though. Political corruption happens in the west as well.
Nah... both side struggle with same issue, the different is eastern country dont have enough power to cover it up like western side. Its not coincident most of eastern corruption, violence, economic issues blown up to surface because of the tip or propaganda from western country for example throu their media coverage power.
Things you described also happens in the West too isn't it. It just so happens you have bigger guns and money printing machine.
Let's not forget about Anime and Manga is kicking the west entertainment's butt. Yeah sure they from Japan. But still, that is also proving Zuby's point about the east is still winning
I have no idea what either of those is 😂
@@wlonsdale1Anime is Japanese Cartoons and Manga is Japanese comics. Like Jesus Christ what is wrong with you
Why does Zuby have an American accent?
💯
Sorry Zuby, but the women in the panel would not ba able to go out dressed the way they are in any Gulf country (including Dubai) without being hassled to death by Arab men who assumed they were prostitutes.
💯
What you saying it’s not true I have seen women dress like this in Dubai
So they aren’t prostitutes, sorry.
@@laylaali5977 Really, where exactly?
Would you be comfortable wearing clothing like that in public in Dubai?
Forget the middle east, try Pakistan, India, Afghanistan lol
Senegal 🇸🇳 it’s
Minus petroleum, what is middle east? 😅
Islamic counties are not the east also oil rich countries that were headed the worlds most covted resource isn't success it luck now look at INDIA VS PAKISTAN
Lol. Yes we suck. But this is propaganda or cope or both. Lol.
Who’s the babe
The highest value a society places into is most affected by its history. Westerners have to understand why some countries do not place premium on the freedom/libery like what Westerners "typically" portray. These countries, for most of their history including mine, is mired with conflict, disease, disasters, and death. We place a high premium on safety and stability first and foremost. The problem comes with people. mostly Westerners, exporting and universilizing their ideas thinking what they have is the natural order of the world. No it isn't.
Why does Sos have this numb, dull look on his face?
Zuby wants to live where he can walk down the street wearing his Rolex, how nice Zuby has an expensive watch. I don't give a damn about ego symbols or what time it is. I want to live where I can afford to eat and keep a roof over my head.
😅😅wow the logic. Can I call you a chicken? Free food and roof
You turn the corner in downtown LA tents, are you feeling safe walking down those roads
If you have to worry about doing a normal thing, like riding a bicycle , and not get robbed of your airpods.

Zuby on the money as usual
Isn't Zuby being naive here, at best?
Sure woke western goverments took away freedoms but that's because they're following China's lead on how to control their ownpeople (ask Trudeau), NOT because that's how western democracy is intended to work.
As if he and others like him can live well is Muslim countries, that's because:
a) He's wealthy
b) He went to countries who have double standards for wealthy tourists/ foreigners.
…
Truth
What a pile of rubbish! USA was not founded on radical freedom or rugged individualism. The founders told us, to keep the republic we would need to be a pious people - freedom from religious persecution, not radical freedom! All inverted - individualism used to mean self responsibility.
