I did this repair and all was going well, but when reconnecting the ribbon cable (22410), it was accidentally inserted in the wrong direction into the socket clip holder. This is the ribbon cable that connects the circuit board for the control panel in the top which houses the display to the circuit board in the base (to the NE6 Main v 1.02 DM11446 board). The pins in the connector are all uniform, so apart from the little notch, it is easy to insert it the wrong way if not careful. When the keyboard was powered up, a light came on briefly on the circuit board in the base and then went off. The board was powered off, the ribbon cable direction corrected, but now after corrected, the keyboard will not power up at all. The main fuse appears to be ok (at least visually). Where could the problem be? Everything is now connected firmly but no lights come on anywhere. Is there another fuse to check or might something else now have to be replaced?
Ouch! I'm going to have to look up the pin diagram on the screen and see just what each pin does. Then, I can compare the connection in the right direction against the wrong direction. It should tell us what was connected to the positive voltage. You may have sent some voltage down a data bus line. Worse case is a damaged processor IC. The better case would be a damaged capacitor or resistor. I'll look into this over the weekend.
@@natenussey6282 Thanks for your reply! The main fuse looked ok, but I had a hunch to try a new one (had to order it in). THANKFULLY, this solved the problem! I was freaking out at first.
I'm so glad to hear that worked out. This comment is important to have here as a warning for others attempting this repair. @natenussey6282 is my other channel. I was going to look up that pinout diagram tonight. But I was much happier to see that the issue was resolved!
You’re instructions were extremely helpful. Also, thanks for the tip on sourcing the OLED. Did the same repair as shown to replace a damaged screen. Many thanks.
You're very welcome! It's such a relief to see that new screen light up. These keyboards do too much to rely on blind navigation. I'm glad this video helped.
Thanks for the great video, easy to follow along and very informative. When I was reconnecting my top panel, I think I damaged the ribbon connector on the top panelboard. The ribbon cable doesn't send power to the top panel unless I push it into place (I'm thinking the latches/tabs/ locking mechanism for the ribbon cables may have loosened and can't close tight enough to lock the pins into place. When the panelboard receives power all LEDs on the Nord turn on, except the display! I was wondering If I could replace the pin-locking tabs rather than buy a new panelboard from Syntaur. I can send pics/vids if requested (also posted on the Nord Electro forum). Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated thank you :) I've found some forum posts regarding all beds turning on + no display, some suggest cleaning or updating, but I believe the problem lies in the panel board. Thx again!
I was thinking about this when I found that you could get the display directly from aliexpress without the frame. I would remove the old screen and frame from the control board first. Then I would use a heat gun and a thin blade to see if the old screen can be separated from the frame. Then, I would probably use a double-sided tape to adhere the new screen to the frame. You may have to use a little epoxy on the frame studs to get them to hold on to the control board when you reinstall it.
Regard from Bali..my name is Kadek..i have problem with my Nord stage 2..sometimes sounds noise and stuck at the moment..and then normal again..continously like that..any solution for this problem??
Hello! I've been looking into this problem through some online forums. Does it just affect the synthesizer section? Or does it affect the piano and organ section as well?
syntaur.com/Part-9977-Display-Nord-OLED I checked it out, and Syntaur.com does carry the screen for the Stage 3 Compact. This is the web address for the part listing.

Do you have the screen part replacement?

Super vidéo, tu es mon sauveur.
très heureux de vous aider.
I'm interested to know what torx screw sizes are on this Nord.
My display came without the frame. Do you know if it is possible to use the old frame (from the defective display)?
