Why is everyone saying that the profits from this book should go to the victims families? She doesn't owe the victims family anything. This book doesn't talk about the crimes. It's about finding out the man who raised her and who she trusted turned out to be a monster. It's about how she had to learn to cope and live with it.

Ummm because their deaths are the only reason this crumb (her father) even has any notoriety at all. If didn’t do what he did people would still be alive. She wouldent have wrote a book and there would be no profit at all to talk about. Idk say what you like about what she should do with the money. I honestly don’t care what she chose to do with it. I don’t think if I was in her situation I would go looking for attention (not saying she is but I mean of course she’s gonna get attention it’s interesting) I think I would sort of grieve or deal with my issues away from the spotlight or media.

This man simply gives me the creeps. The prison he is in is roughly 25 miles from our farm here in Kansas. When I have to run cattle to the salebarn in El Dorado there, just passing by that prison weirds me out. I'm so deeply sorry for this young lady. But more importantly, I am more sorry for [all] the families he DESTROYED. To this day, many years later.........
what he did to those families is something those families will forever live with. I'm so sorry for all those who lost loved ones.

Just want to say.....I've read some of the comments below. I don't understand why anyone would want to say cruel things to the daughter. Do you not think she's been through enough hell???? My god, people, please try to have some compassion for her. Yes, of course, the people murdered and their families suffered tremendously..... no one is denying that. But does that mean the daughter can't share her story??? PTSD.....I'm sure that's the understatement of the year as far as the repercussions this girl has suffered and will continue to suffer for the rest of her life. I can't even fathom. And, neither can you.

She has a perspective that few people on the planet have. Serial killers fascinate us and her father is one of the most infamous. She’s had to overcome unimaginable grief, shame, survivors guilt, etc. She deserves to write a book about HER experience. It’s HER story. Imagine the effect that has on her daily life. She shouldn’t have bashed people for writing books but at the same time she has a intimate relationship with the killer. Idk shits crazy

And now she is questioning if Brian Koberger learned from the woman who wrote the book about her father, and took her class. Well there you have it. Her along with everyone else who give attention to these narcissists. Since she hasn't given any profit towards any victim assistance etc, hopefully she has some class and helped her mother and brother who have suffered in silence. She enjoys the attention and spotlight, she’s definitely her fathers daughter. The money she has been made should have been donated to the real victims. Most serial killers family members stay silent for a reason, it’s painful and they don’t want to talk about it. This woman just has made it her whole personality.

In her own way she is a victim she's one of the victims that lived, and it's true she doesn't owe anything to the victims or their families but as a decent human being it would be nice of her to take some of her profits and have miniature gravestones made that goes right next to the real gravestone saying something about them something that the families want to put on many years later. It would just be the Humane thing to do. But if she just wants to sit there and keep all the profit she's going to look bad to a lot of people. For all we know she could have known her father was a killer. For all we know she could have played part in it. For all we know she could be completely 100% happy her dad went to jail but for all we know this could have scarred her more than anything this could have mess with her so bad that she is not the same person she was supposed to be. He was NOT a smart serial killer he was very sloppy and disorganized. He left his fingerprints and seminal fluid everywhere, personal items (dropped hats, stockings, etc) He was caught TWICE by his wife dressed up in women's underwear, trussed up like a turkey and hanging by a noose, once in the bedroom and once in the hallway with a camera set up ready to take a pic of himself like that. She threatened to divorce him the second time. I honestly don't know how she wasn't suspicious with several murders already in the area bound similarly to his preferred get up she witnessed him in. She also found a poem he had written to one of his victims with her name in the poem.

Every comment she reads here every letter she gets she'll heal. It takes you out of hiding in shame like you had a target on your back. I never understood until I was in it. Kerri~~~he is still your dad, and it is natural (if rare) that you still love him. His sins are his, not yours. I think you are brave and honest to come forward with this. I think your book is brave, and necessary. (We all want to know how to spot serial killers, and if anyone can give insights as to how to do this, it is you.) But above all else, what I want you to know from one human being to another, is this; no matter what his sine, they are not yours.

Any halfway normal person would be completely ashamed to be related to someone who got sexual thrills from torturing and murdering people.

the thing with her perspective is that she will never stop being related and having important memories with him. She knows who he is, but still it must be hard af to be that intimately related to someone who ended up being a wolf in sheep's clothing. She has to deal with that conflicting reality and what it means for her as her daughter every day. That doesn't mean she feels anything positive about his dad's actions or who he is as a person; however, that fact cannot erase whatever she went through with him personally before finding out and its impact on her. It's complex

Over 20 years ago Martin Bryant killed 35 people and maimed 23 within the hour. His mother, deeply ashamed and deeply heartbroken virtually disappeared from the face of the earth apart from a couple of rare media interviews. She knew all too well that there was very little that she could have said or done to ease the suffering of the victims’ families. She suffered with the families and she suffered in silence.
