Why is everyone saying that the profits from this book should go to the victims families? She doesn't owe the victims family anything. This book doesn't talk about the crimes. It's about finding out the man who raised her and who she trusted turned out to be a monster. It's about how she had to learn to cope and live with it.
Ummm because their deaths are the only reason this crumb (her father) even has any notoriety at all. If didn’t do what he did people would still be alive. She wouldent have wrote a book and there would be no profit at all to talk about. Idk say what you like about what she should do with the money. I honestly don’t care what she chose to do with it. I don’t think if I was in her situation I would go looking for attention (not saying she is but I mean of course she’s gonna get attention it’s interesting) I think I would sort of grieve or deal with my issues away from the spotlight or media.
Totally agree y is everyone saying that the money should go to the victims did she kill anyone no she one's no one anything it's not even about them or the victims but about her personal struggle tto deal with tthis people is so unfair she put in all the hard work but someone else must be paid no way she has a life and all the money she put into it must go back to her God is just and fair .
She's a victim herself. Try finding out your beloved father killed 10 woman including 2 CHILDREN! I would be pretty messed up, but people don't realize, that for her, it's a traumatic event, people need to get off her back and be more sympathetic towards her and what she has been through.
Exactly. The two daughters of the notorious 40 year serial killer / serial rapist called the "Golden State Killer" disowned him. They haven't gone to visit him in his jail cell x two years. This BTK lady says "hes still my father." Thats sick.
@@sanfrancisco9661 Your father is your father no matter what. It doesn't mean she loves him or likes him. It just means he is her father and nothing she can do can change that even if she wishes she had another dad.
I think Kerri deserves any profits that she can make for all of the pain, suffering, and life altering trauma that she’s had to endure! Not to mention that she’s made it her life’s work to help authorities find answers and solve cold cases that could be related to her father, and that she works on tirelessly for FREE! She’s an absolute hero!! 🙏🏼
He would've gotten away with it until genetic genealogy started to be used in criminal cases. Honestly, if his case had still been unsolved in 2016 or 2017 it wouldn't surprise me if the Wichita police or KBI would've been more amenable to the idea of using the technology to crack his case before Detective Holes and Contra Costa County finally bit with the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer case.
@@mayte_j4008 As far as it goes, he did a commendable job to de-escalate for a whole decade. It shows an almost unprecedented level of self control (for a serial killer) especially as he wasn't getting any professional help. I don't think he gets enough credit for that.
“How much she’d thrown me under the bus,” Radar wrote about his daughters book! She doesn’t have to throw you under the bus, you did that all by yourself! She’s an innocent victim; he selfishly made his family a lower priority than his desire to act out disturbing sexually deviant behavior & murder. He never gave a thought to how his family would be impacted if he were caught, nor did he likely care.
I’m the sister of a child molester and I know it isn’t the same but like you said in the end he’s still your father my brother is still my brother. It’s so sad being related to someone that’s done heinous acts. My family was broken. Please know this it’s nothing you did wrong. It’s them they have something majorly wrong with them. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I'm a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of a family member. I was just molested this person tried for 3 years to kill me. They tortured me and even though I'm now grown I have never gotten over the abuse. I live with the memories of it and knowing I survived all of it.
You do realize everyone ages and one day you too will age but you won't have accomplished 1/2 of what most "Boomers" did in their lives you all are pathetic with your mocking loser lives. and no I'm not a boomer, I just can't stand all you condescending morons that sit online and mock people because you think just because people are older they are useless.
@katherine harvey she IS a victim. People forget that the families of the perpetrators suffer too. Imagine how much hate this family must have gotten and probably still gets because of this man. Plus people like to point fingers and make dumb accusations like a common one is "the family should have suspected something" etc. Plus not to mention this family has also essentially lost someone too, sure they can write letters and phone but they lost the person they thought they knew. Imagine finding out a close family turned out to be a serial killer. It would be absolutely devastating and you would carry guilt for the rest of your life. There's a reason why many families of high profile cases end up changing their names.
@@mikeymoo1291 that is very true, I don't know really how to feel about it because it's such a rare situation. I'm not entirely comfortable with my original comment but all I can think of is anyone that can get some kind of positivity out of such horror can only be a good thing. What I would say is that definitely a proportion of the profits should go to the victims families.
@@mikeymoo1291 i wouldnt mind. His family suffered too. Not in the same way as the victim's family but theyre paying the consequences too. They will always have that guilt of what he did and thinking they should have known but didnt. It's not just the victims that suffer.
When my dad was 4 years old his mother was murdered by a serial killer. He had a really bad childhood. Dad struggled with close relationships his entire life. My brother's and I felt the pain of his loss growing up because he was damaged so much by her murder.
I"m so very sorry this happened to you and your family, nothing happens in a vaccum, as we get older we realize that almost everything we do affects someone else. The trauma I've experienced affects my son every day in the parenting decisions I make, not all of them very good because I'm always running away from something... Trauma runs in families, new studies are showing that it's almost in the DNA when you're born-your body knows the trauma your grandfather and father experienced they say. It's over my pay grade to understand. I hope you've found a measure of peace in life. Best to you, Be safe.
i would like to suggest that you begin to read the Bible daily, beginning with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and continuing with the Epistles. And then, the Psalms of the Old Testament. Memorize verses and you will find great healing will take place in your mind. I will keep you and your family in prayer.
He thought his daughters book was about reaching out to families to help them understand family members who have “crime” problems. So he still thinks it’s all about him. Narcissist and psychopath.
He is the source of all of it, It was his decisions that made the situation, he might be narcissistic when saying what he said, but there is some truth to it. I'm talking about nurture vs nature, personality disorders, and whatever else that promotes this kind of behavior. I know he didn't say it but those are the problems that cause the majority of these situations to happen.
What a horrendous experience for Kerri to know that her father destroyed so many people’s lives and left the relatives shattered. I am so very sorry for the experience you have been dealt. What courage you have shown to grab the nettle. Keep well and strong, brave girl.
what trauma? her dad treated her like a daughter her whole life obviously. It wasnt until she was well an adult she even found out he was a murderer so what childhoold trauma did she recieve?
There would be no book without 10 murder victims. Shes not a celebrity....no one would buy the book if she was just some woman writing about her trauma... shes cashing in on her psycho dads crimes....talk about doing anything for your 15 minutes. Pathetic. Distastful....but who really cares... i wouldnt wipe my arse with her book. She'll have another shot though.... How about a reality show where she gets to live at the prison and talk to daddy about his crimes? Im a serial killer get me out of here. Talk about cheap and nasty.
@@actionparkmedia6484 i agree. No one would know who she was if she didnt put it out there. By all accounts Daddy was a normal citizen while he wasnt raping and killing. How dare she talk trauma... how about the families of the brutally murdered???? So distastful. No innocent victims, no book.
She has a perspective that few people on the planet have. Serial killers fascinate us and her father is one of the most infamous. She’s had to overcome unimaginable grief, shame, survivors guilt, etc. She deserves to write a book about HER experience. It’s HER story. Imagine the effect that has on her daily life. She shouldn’t have bashed people for writing books but at the same time she has a intimate relationship with the killer. Idk shits crazy
Screw all the haters, her family are victims as well. I have nothing but respect for her and none of this is her fault. She didn’t deserve this shame that haunts her, but it’s the cards she was dealt.
Ok, but how many books does she need to keep putting out. What is left to say after the first one. And now she is questioning if Brian Koberger learned from the woman who wrote the book about her father, and took her class. Well there you have it. Her along with everyone else who give attention to these narcissists. Since she hasn't given any profit towards any victim assistance etc, hopefully she has some class and helped her mother and brother who have suffered in silence. But I wonder if they would even accept it
Her dad was caught 20 years ago and she was grown up not a little kid, I’m sure it was shocking but how long can you milk being a victim for. She’s still living off being his daughter. She enjoys the attention and spotlight, she’s definitely her fathers daughter. The money she has been made should have been donated to the real victims. Most serial killers family members stay silent for a reason, it’s painful and they don’t want to talk about it. This woman just has made it her whole personality.
I read her book. She and her brother & mother suffered so much over this. You can almost feel her pain in the book. Carry is a really good person. Sending her much love & prayers from Ohio. God bless her.
So would you like to read my book on my pain growing up? It is horrible worse than what she's experienced by tenfold. Or I could be making it up because after all a writer is just someone that fantasizes in a book. You have no idea and neither do I of what she really felt or what really happened. I believe in a way she is a a victim but I do also believe that's some of the profit should go to doing something nice for the victims that her father did Slaughter. She will still have enough to buy a house and a Ferrari
@@bubbasmith7312 Who cares what you think! She's JUST AS INNOCENT as the murdered victims! Why are y'all so dumb!? What tf could she do to help? I'm sure her mother suffered the most and all this effects her more than anyone else in the family still to even this day, but don't think it was as bad for the kids with them being grown on their own since eighteen yrs old with families of their own when he was arrested... Now if she or her brother was a much younger more vulnerable age when he was caught like thirteen and being raised with it, that would be devastating and some serious suffering... She seems like a good person, glad to see her doing well and hope the mother can find some kind of way to live again...
It was interesting to say the least! To be honest I hadn't done my research on him prior to seeing that portrayal so perhaps I am biased. Speaking of which, I liked Tarantino's Once Upon a time In Hollywood portrayal of Charlie's Girls. But that's another story lol
This caught me by surprise in the comments. Is it only me or were you also a little disappointed with season 2? Wasn’t the same as season 1 not enough interviewing and getting to know the killers, only 1 episode on Manson if I recall and also Holden wasn’t able to use his expertise to solve many murders nor have any interesting exchanges in interviews. Just my opinion along with some other small things. Although I am very much looking forward to the coming seasons especially with BTK on the horizon. I do love how they’ve introduced him from season 1 and continued that through season 2.
@@harrisonkanellos6481 season 2 was different, they decrypted well how difficult it was to catch the ATL child murderer, and even when he was caught they convicted him for only two of the 30 murders that happened at the time. The politics of ATL about race and how it slowed the investigation was also on point. To know how a serial killer function is one thing and it was the theme of the 1st season, but to catch him is an whole different story and the season 2 depicted it well.
@@Yo-er6no Yes, I remember that, but I did not remember he was only convicted for the "adults". (I put that in quotes because I think they were physically adults, but had less mature minds? Not sure.) 18 murders of young children are still not solved. In Atlanta, Georgia.
I read Kerri’s book, it is a very good read, she gives a fair description of life growing up with her father, she was more than fair about him. I highly recommend her book.
She has literally nothing to say, her creepy murderous father had stop killing when he had kids, police aprehended him when kids are adults. Nothing to see here except a creepy looking woman who's the spitting image of that monster crying crocodile tears intead of opening a fund for the victims. selfish to a fault ! but then again she's her father's daughter.
I have a hard time watching a lot of true crime documentaries, t.v. shows, and things like this because of how they do that. It's already interesting, there is not need to make it so dramatic and tasteless.
Why the fuck would you watch a report on a serial killer then? Would Spongebob narrate? It's a production and requires proper mood. Some of you are beyond stupid.
This man simply gives me the creeps. The prison he is in is roughly 25 miles from our farm here in Kansas. When I have to run cattle to the salebarn in El Dorado there, just passing by that prison weirds me out. I'm so deeply sorry for this young lady. But more importantly, I am more sorry for [all] the families he DESTROYED. To this day, many years later......... what he did to those families is something those families will forever live with. I'm so sorry for all those who lost loved ones.
Pen or Sword, which one? I live near there too out in the country. But, I use it for gardening & all my pets! I have jersey cows, goats, ducks, chickens & more! I've been to London, NY, Madrid, Paris, Sydney, Los Angeles & big cities all over the world but I wouldn't trade my peaceful, breezy, bird singing, sky gazing slice of paradise for any crowded metropolis anywhere :)
He creeps me out and I live miles away. I also feel for his murder victims and family I don't wish her ill but don't want her to get rich off of her father murdering people.
Yes, because Republicans NEVER like to play the victim! They never have the annual “war on Christmas”/ white Christians are so persecuted in the US mantra either!
I cried when I saw her on Dr. Phil. People's comments below are very grateful and harsh! She's not trying to make it all about her, but this is her story and her perspective! She did apologize to the families for the horror her dad caused, but really it wasn't hers to apologize for. She didn't do it! All she's trying to do is explain what it felt like to be the child of a serial killer. My heart goes out to her and to the victims families. Alot to live with all the way around.
Some people tend to pass guilt by association to the family members of killers failing to realize that, while not in the same way, the killer has also victimized his own family by what was done. This man here has even bragged about the feeling of power and control it gave him that his wife and kids feared the btk killer not knowing it was him. All you can do is what you posted and hope that people will see the whole pitcher instead of just what they want. These families did not ask for these things to happen yet have to live with it daily. Until reading so many of the comments made about the wife, I honestly had not realized that so many are trying to place blaim on the entire families that most of the didn't even know themselves. They trusted their spouses and rightly so, otherwise why was they ever married to begin with.
In not one interview has she expressed concern or pity for others. Thats the reason I feel she is a narcissist. Think about it. If your father was him, you would not want to have anything to do with it. She is all about herself.
We can't choose who our parents are, my mother was manic bipolar who self medicated with alcohol and heroine, my father was a Vietnam veteran who was also an alcoholic and heroine addict. I wouldn't change any of it, it's made me strong in my values, it's motivated me to be better, to help those who don't get the help they need.
I don't think you're using your imagination then. What if it's a bus that has steam rollers for tires? Or dull field mower that then has steam roller as its back tires & a bus on top. Though personally I don't really care what happens to the guy, I don't really wish him harm cause it's not really going to do shit, long as he isn't out killing people the situation is fine.
thankyou, she seems a lil messed up herself in her fathers crimes somehow shes the victim thats a stretch , now she profits off her fathers crimes as disguised as a self help book?

I'm_cooler_than_you _1 ...true...but love is about feelings of admiration, respect, cherishing characters qualities, trust, ...none of those things exist about this serial killer. My god, people, please try to have some compassion for her. Yes, of course, the people murdered and their families suffered tremendously..... no one is denying that. But does that mean the daughter can't share her story??? And, neither can you. Mother Theresa said it best..... "Be Kind Whenever Possible. It is ALWAYS possible."
I saw the two-part episode of BTK on "Very Scary People". This man is one of the most pathological, unremorseful human beings ever. Worst of all, he fed off our common stereotypes. The monster hid in plain sight. Many people still would never suspect a church leader, middle-class family man living in the suberbs of being a sadistic serial killer. To our knowledge, he never was abused as a child etc. like some other ruthless killers like The Night Stalker and The Co-Ed Killer. Just plain evil.
Yeah, the cops probably suspected a single white male that's a loner with a menial job as the killer. Because how could a married family man, and a church leader no less, be capable of such an atrocity!? Single people are stigmatized and marginalized and this case gives testimony to that.
Oh I'm glad he got caught. It's just incredible what you think is private. I mean, Apple won't help authorities unlock phones but your medical records can be shared. Odd
Texas Tea I’m A-OK with that. Related to a criminal, that’s THEIR choice. If you don’t want the government in your business, don’t be related to a criminal. Blame the criminals because the innocent don’t have to worry.
@@kathrynwitte3398 Kathryn....really? That's your response? "then dont be related to a criminal." Tell me please, how can people prevent that? Right? And says she has survived unimaginable things. Uhhh, like what? I thought he was a good dad until all this came to light? Guess I'd have to read the book to find out, too bad I'm not into reading.
She basically implies she still loves him as a father and if you disagree you'll be blocked. Oh yes so traumatized. I'm sure she's wiping her tears with all the money she made profiting off 10 dead victims.
I always find it amazing how there’s always so many people in RUclips comments who just so happened to know the criminal being talked about or just so happened to run into them randomly one day and then remember it years or decades later.
She absolutely deserves the profits from her own book. It’s HER story. SHE was a victim as well. Imagine what she went through finding out her father did these things.
This is the American way of turning any drama into cash, nothing new. If it was therapeutic for her to write the book she should have at least donated all the proceeds to some kind of real victims of crime not profit of it. Had she not done that I’d have sympathy for her but I guess she’s selfish. She poses herself as the biggest victim of all the BTK’s deeds when all the other families are on equal footing. I do understand her trauma but monetizing it this way is insensitive IMO. But then again, this is not anything new in America. She did as she saw around her after all.
His daughter says in several interviews she had a picture perfect childhood so how now is she saying she survived violence and abusebut She was grown up when he was arrested and conviction!!!

In her own way she is a victim she's one of the victims that lived, and it's true she doesn't owe anything to the victims or their families but as a decent human being it would be nice of her to take some of her profits and have miniature gravestones made that goes right next to the real gravestone saying something about them something that the families want to put on many years later. It would just be the Humane thing to do. But if she just wants to sit there and keep all the profit she's going to look bad to a lot of people. For all we know she could have known her father was a killer. For all we know she could have played part in it. For all we know she could be completely 100% happy her dad went to jail but for all we know this could have scarred her more than anything this could have mess with her so bad that she is not the same person she was supposed to be. All I'm saying is I just be Humane of her
I read Kerri's book when it came out. It was fascinating, and answered so many questions concerning what these people are like behind closed doors. They aren't in the least "normal", however much they try to dissemble in public.
Just read your book Kerri! I know you loved your father. So sorry it turned out this way but your story was so inspiring. I think it will help others also who have ptsd due to other traumas. I’m glad also that you have God in your life, and was able to .org I’ve your dad. I read this in one day, couldn’t put it down.
Gosh, blessings and peace to you. I'm not a son of a serial killer, but I am the only known survivor of serial killer Gary Gilmore. A total horror story for me. I can still smell him, see him, and hear his voice. He held me captive for 1 hour before letting me go. The FBI and Oregon state police said I was the luckiest 18 year old that night. I DID play on Gilmores obviously " loser" mentality. I played him off as I was a nobody, therefore that was the reason I didn't have access to a floor safe at the gas station he attacked me at. He could relate to that I was told. 1976. Good luck to you. Wish you the best.
If you are telling the truth, and your post does feel truthful, wow!!!... you certainly had some luck with you that day despite the tragedy and horrible experience you had. @@sixchiensblancs Thank you. It's a truth I wish wasn't a reality. I really think btk daughter has much more of a shock than my brush with a killer. My incident is over and done with. Hers has got to be overwhelming. Poor thing.
To his daughter I hope some day you can find and live at peace. It’s not your fault. We as children are not responsible for any of our ancestors mistakes in life. I think everyone appreciates your story and don’t blame your self.
It took them 30 years to catch & convict him. He appeared "normal" - Boy Scout leader, worked for City Hall, council member at church. USAF veteran. Appearances can be deceptive. Appears to have a loving relationship with his daughter.
Good for his daughter. How strong she is. Figures the media would berate the daughter at the end and ask about where any of the monies from her book goes. Not the medias business. The book will help other people in similar situations who are guilty only by birth no fault of their own.
I didn't realize that she had put down people who'd profited from her father's story by writing books before she wrote her own books. She says that any money she makes on social media barely pays her bills. Profiting off of her father is hypocritical.
She is a wonderful caring person who does not deserve to have to suffer for the things her father chose to do while she was growing up, and to expect her to have known he was capable of or in fact was the BTK killer is a hard question to have to live with every day hope fully by writing this book it will help those consumed by this tragedy as well as the AUTHOR can finally close this chapter in their life once and for all.
I’m really sorry for this girl. But, it really feels as if she’s tried to live her life as BTK’s daughter. Idk. Some of those tweets and even the fact that she’s written a book seems so messed up to me somehow. I get it must suck to have ur dad turn out to be a sicko who murdered women. But, it feels like she’s stealing the REAL victims pain in all this. Yes, I get that she was a “victim” too.... but, idk. It just feels like a slap on the face to the families who lost people because of him.
She's a real victim too, and of course her pain is real. Her grief is real, just different. Writing is cathartic. Her coming to terms with the two warring sides of her father, the man she looked up to growing up, and loved with all their heart, may help someone else.
JoshNortonalias lol. People often change their names, etc. but, I’m certain people wouldn’t hold it against her to give her a job. I wouldn’t even mind her writing a book, but idk writing from the perspective of victim just seems wrong to me when her dad MADE people victims. I just feel like it’s a slap in the face to the families of HIS victims.
JoshNortonalias and the fact that at the end it stated she had always condemned others for writing about BTK and profiting from him..... that sealed it for me. I guess she felt he was HER golden goose and she should be the only one to profit ...
Cait L. No, I hold her responsible for HER choices. Like I’ve stated it’s not really about her making money off her dad... it’s the taking the victim role in order to do it. Idk. It’s the way she speaks, her tweets, etc. it just seems so disrespectful to the families of those he made victims of. “Come and me and you will be blocked”. No, I don’t have a problem with people who’ve written about this case...... I wouldn’t mind HER making money writing about this case, if it weren’t the way she’s gone about it. Thankfully, she’s allowed to have the freedom to write a book and I’m allowed the freedom to find it in poor taste. God, I love America.
How do you have PTSD from trauma you never experienced and how do you claim to be abused when you were not abuse by your own admission? Shes a grifter!
I used to drive passed this creeps house several times a week and had no clue this phantom crazed serial killer was just feet away. I was such an indescribable feeling when he was finally captured. Everyone wondered if he had died moved away went to prison or was just lurking and walking amongst us blending right in with normal people which is exactly what he was doing.
BTK was very smart but also dumb. He asked the police if they could trace a floppy disk (they could) and they said no. He thought cops couldn't lie so he sent the floppy disk. He may have never been caught if not for that.
@@garyortolano7374 Yeah! I don't know about that. If that was the case then he wouldn't have even asked if it could be traced. I think he would've much rather continued killing people then sitting in jail/prison.
He was NOT a smart serial killer he was very sloppy and disorganized. He left his fingerprints and seminal fluid everywhere, personal items (dropped hats, stockings, etc) He was caught TWICE by his wife dressed up in women's underwear, trussed up like a turkey and hanging by a noose, once in the bedroom and once in the hallway with a camera set up ready to take a pic of himself like that. She threatened to divorce him the second time. I honestly don't know how she wasn't suspicious with several murders already in the area bound similarly to his preferred get up she witnessed him in. She also found a poem he had written to one of his victims with her name in the poem.
Why does anybody acknowledge the speech and words of people like him? He deserves no fame, no acknowledgment for the type of person he is, for his actions.
Brutal. I can't imagine what it was like for his victims or his daughter. The deceased victims suffering has ended but for those still living and closest to this man their suffering continues.
"I'm not sure how much she threw me under the bus" suggests there was a lot for her to talk about in terms of his conduct towards her as a father. I've not seen the book. I expect he was a nightmare. All parents get pushed by their kids. It's hard work but you ride through it, you model appropriate behaviour no matter how tired or annoyed you get, if they play up. But push Dennis Rader to his limits? There is no way that ended well for his daughter.
Seriously he looks like a normal person that is what a serial killer look like. I think the more normal they look, the more they try to make thselves look innocent, time to worry. Most men that are looking for a trick are not innocent and they feel no reason to make u feel comfortable, but if someone wants to make a prostitute feel comfy, WORRY

THis is really confusing. I just watched another interview where she went on and on about how close her and her dad were as she was growing up. She says they would plant flowers and built a tree house together . She would tell her mom she would rather go fishing with dad instead of going shopping at the mall. Now she was abused !
I think it’s safe to consider that finding out your father, who seemed “normal”, murdered and tortured people might cause a little trauma. Don’t you:? I’m also confident the media and public harassed the family. Imagine the magnitude of self inflicted shame as well.
His daughter has every right to keep the profits from her book. She is a victim. She lost everything because of him. She has been in therapy for years and has PTSD. She deserves all the profits from her book!
He apparently loved his daughter despite being his victims worst nightmare. I hope Kerrys PTSD and depression will subside. She lost her father in a manner that no one should ever lose a loved one.. Unfortunately there are victims that had a much worse fate than Kerry. I wish you all the best Kerry.
Yeah, when she was an incorporeal soul waiting for a body he was already poking her and going "this one...this one will be the one I will raise. I will raise her with love like any normal father, and she will live happily while I murder countless others, so that one day when she finds out she will realize that it was my plan all along to make her the "Child of a Serial Killer!"...mawhahaha!!....lol, *face palm*
he's totally someone who's always wanted attention the way he taunted the police while doing all the killings leaving notes etc very desperate for attention
I keep asking why? WHY? Why do men who go bald on top keep all the hair on the sides, like nothing happened? It's like someone chopped off the top of their heads, but then their bald head grew back. It looks ridiculous and It. Needs. To. Stop.
They showed that to play up the fact that he was calm and collected, not even a little bothered by the fact that he was giving a play by play how-to on breaking and entering, pedophilic, sadist sexual fantasies. He murdered them, because he refused to wear a mask and didn't want to be caught.
I must say, the Lord has used Kerri to bring healing in me!!! So I thank Mrs Rawson for speaking out and addressing trauma and the power of suicide that is associated with abuse from an abuser.
I will agree, she never says all their names, or expresses grief of these horribly tortured women and children, but then again, who could comprehend the amount of pain these girls and man endured?
Why is everyone saying that the profits from this book should go to the victims families? She doesn't owe the victims family anything. This book doesn't talk about the crimes. It's about finding out the man who raised her and who she trusted turned out to be a monster. It's about how she had to learn to cope and live with it.
Right? They can write their own book.
kattdaddy2112 I completely agree with you! 👍

Amazing how this dude would have gotten away had he not been such a narcissist. He wanted the limelight again which is why he came out of retirement.
If he wasn't such a narcissist he wouldn't have committed the crimes in the first place
They are never on retirement.
@@mayte_j4008 As far as it goes, he did a commendable job to de-escalate for a whole decade. It shows an almost unprecedented level of self control (for a serial killer) especially as he wasn't getting any professional help. I don't think he gets enough credit for that.

He thought his daughters book was about reaching out to families to help them understand family members who have “crime” problems. So he still thinks it’s all about him. Narcissist and psychopath.

Tell me please, how can people prevent that? How could BTK's daughter prevent being related to her father? That is the silliest thing I've read in a while: "dont be related to a criminal" 😒
I'm glad they caught him....i just think it's interesting HOW they caught him: through a court order to get gis daughter's pap smear results.
She says she has ptsd from trauma in childhood.....but she said he was a great dad !!!??? I don’t get it
@@maximix3531 well, publishing a book isn’t free, plus years of therapy have to be paid in someway I guess
Fuck that bitch,
You're delusional, this is very clearly a ploy to get money and nothing more.
@@chrisholderc2378 😂 I agree
hope shes making a TONN of money - so she can finally buy herself somewhere nice to live away from the hate that must always be around her
I hope she donates the money to victims of murder and pedophilia.
@C U NEXT TUESDAY No speak engrish
His daughter says in several interviews she had a picture perfect childhood so how now is she saying she survived violence and abusebut She was grown up when he was arrested and conviction!!!
Yeah she just wants money. Acting like a victim. She inherited her father's narcissistic personality
I feel so sorry for his family. 😢
I don’t know how much my caring will help, but my heart hurts for her!
Thank you child for your honesty with your pain. 😢😢😢😢😢
Can you imagine being her husband and trying to fall asleep at night but can't because your afraid you'll wake up DEAD !
Mr Wdpkr why? Is being a serial killer contagious or hereditary?? And I’m not sure how anyone can “wake up dead” 🤔
@@yourmom6833 I'm surprised you couldn't tell I was joking . You sure
are stupid !
@@yourmom6833 Well...I think there were two cousins on the West Coast that worked as a team ...killing people. I knew a man who was very sadistic with kids and raised a son that he practically never let out of his sight who grew up to be just as sadistic . Personality wise...they seemed like clones of each other. I think partly how strong a sense of self or who you are and how much another, more dominating , manipulative personality could control and influence the behavior , thoughts and feelings of another... they are in close contact with. The young man I knew...became just like his father...in all ways. I wouldn't be surprised if Ted Bundy's father figure had some pretty dark secrets himself ...that if were brought to light...he would of "Paid the Piper" too. Same with Jeffery Dalmer. That prison interview was creepy ...with them together. It was as if the father didn't get caught but his son wasn't so lucky. Listen closely and watch the body language ... yuk
You can’t pick your parents !!!
But you can choose not to cash out and profit off real tragedy. Shes disgusting in that sense. Had she not done that I’d feel for her
The money from the book should go to the daughter!! SHE WROTE THE THING!
If my dad did what he did you wouldn't even know what I look like. I'd be embarrassed and if someone knew he was my dad and they asked me about him I wouldn't even address it.
Rite
That’s why we don’t know what his wife looks like...
Period! Obviously this is going to be how she makes a living. She is not employable now!
Valuable input.
@I’m 42 years old woman even more irrelevant input. I thought we were addressing how the daughter of an actual serial killer has chosen to handle it, not subjective hypotheticals involving unrelated life stories from random youtubers. Really, who cares "what you WOULD have done IF only..."
....yes. she absolutely DOES deserve the profits from HER book!
Yep
I agree
@Ross Piyan Twice pregnant
yea a relief anf some money for her. i agree
Man was a MONSTER, however I'm sure she had no idea. He fooled a lot of people.
Uh huh, okay _Hugh._

I think everyone appreciates your story and don’t blame your self.
agree so why are there people now being held responsible for colonialism ?
It took them 30 years to catch & convict him. He appeared "normal" - Boy Scout leader, worked for City Hall, council member at church. USAF veteran. Appearances can be deceptive. Appears to have a loving relationship with his daughter.
Just by looking at him gives me the creeps. Totally deranged look in his eyes and they never lie.
The thing is, dennis rader would’ve got away if he didn’t made his comeback
Good for his daughter. How strong she is. Figures the media would berate the daughter at the end and ask about where any of the monies from her book goes. Not the medias business. The book will help other people in similar situations who are guilty only by birth no fault of their own.
Poor girl. I can't imagne how affected she must be.
Im from wichita kansas and his name still comes up in history class till this day
his daughter seems like a very nice girl, i hope she lives a happy life considering what she's been through
she's an adult
I didn't realize that she had put down people who'd profited from her father's story by writing books before she wrote her
own books.
@@joanhallhovey she should keep a journal then. She's cashing in on his crimes. She's disgusting.
I feel so sorry for her and at the same time thankful for her honesty.
6:00 ok what was the point of that!?
Lmao I missed my first view
Yeah. WTF!
He was so casual during his confessions and didn't regret a bit of the victims how can he be human?
Sachin Fulsunge stfu
Shows how less he cares/being inhuman?
BTK was very smart but also dumb. He asked the police if they could trace a floppy disk (they could) and they said no. He thought cops couldn't lie so he sent the floppy disk. He may have never been caught if not for that.
Very true lol
It was his son in law that he asked.
He wanted to be caught. He wanted the world to know what he did. It's called arrogance.
Geez I’m from Wichita he literally gave us the creeps
Brutal. I can't imagine what it was like for his victims or his daughter. The deceased victims suffering has ended but for those still living and closest to this man their suffering continues.
Um... Their families?!!!
What's with the joke animation at 5:59 ? Strange thing to see on a news show about a serial killer
If you're talking about when he is smacking his lips together, he actually did that in court.
Haha I’m dying over here
HAHA BEST PART!
Yeah that was def weird to see on a straight news show
Ikr.. I said to myself..WTF??
"I'm not sure how much she threw me under the bus" suggests there was a lot for her to talk about in terms of his conduct towards her as a father. I've not seen the book. I expect he was a nightmare. All parents get pushed by their kids. It's hard work but you ride through it, you model appropriate behaviour no matter how tired or annoyed you get, if they play up. But push Dennis Rader to his limits? There is no way that ended well for his daughter.
The daughter is another victim; she has the right !
he looks like PennyWise without the makeup and Red Hair. ewwwww.
crimson fire right*"!*!'
And also kinda look like Trevor from gta 5 but a bit fatter
Seriously he looks like a normal person that is what a serial killer look like. I think the more normal they look, the more they try to make thselves look innocent, time to worry. Most men that are looking for a trick are not innocent and they feel no reason to make u feel comfortable, but if someone wants to make a prostitute feel comfy, WORRY
Dont lie u know he reminds you of your incest loving father and it makes all hot n bothered
i was 3 comments shy of being the 666th commenter. my wee wee is 3 inches short of 6.66 inches long. 3x666, squared by the root of 666 to the 3rd power = knuckleheadery!
THis is really confusing. I just watched another interview where she went on and on about how close her and her dad were as she was growing up. She says they would plant flowers and built a tree house together . She would tell her mom she would rather go fishing with dad instead of going shopping at the mall. Now she was abused !
This is a good point worth pondering... I wonder if she meant after she learned of his crime?
Both can be true. Narcissist groom their victims and are Dr. Jekyl, Mr. Hyde types.
I think it’s safe to consider that finding out your father, who seemed “normal”, murdered and tortured people might cause a little trauma. Don’t you:? I’m also confident the media and public harassed the family. Imagine the magnitude of self inflicted shame as well.
Abuse is complicated. It's often a simmering thing, interspersed with moments that are somewhat happy.
Can't imagine how she feels knowing her own father was a monster.
His daughter has every right to keep the profits from her book. She is a victim. She lost everything because of him. She has been in therapy for years and has PTSD. She deserves all the profits from her book!
I agree
He apparently loved his daughter despite being his victims worst nightmare. I hope Kerrys PTSD and depression will subside. She lost her father in a manner that no one should ever lose a loved one.. Unfortunately there are victims that had a much worse fate than Kerry. I wish you all the best Kerry.
Did she say she suffered abuse from before she was born? 🤔
Lol
She might have meant that Dennis abused her mother while she was pregnant with her
Of course

he's totally someone who's always wanted attention the way he taunted the police while doing all the killings leaving notes etc very desperate for attention
5:59 lol way to break the tension
I keep asking why? WHY?
Why do men who go bald on top keep all the hair on the sides, like nothing happened?
It's like someone chopped off the top of their heads, but then their bald head grew back. It looks ridiculous and It. Needs. To. Stop.
Looks like he had a fight (and lost) with a lawnmower!

5:59 wtf?
I feel so bad for her. I hope she realizes she isn’t responsible for her fathers actions!
