Most of those mods were effortlessly ported from other games.
The vehicles which survived the impact were quite sturdy and compact in design. Center of Mass of all vehicles were equally supported by 4 wheels. The design and strength criteria of those cars too played an important factor. Whereas as we can see, the bulkier the vehicle and most importantly further the wheel placement between front and rear ones, they are more more likely to undergo brittle kinda failure as loading is quite a bit dynamic in nature.
Cars such as F1 have a lot of down force which pushes them down into the bump
