How many poachers have you come across while out in the bush, parks or reserves anywhere in the world, any time of your life? Give me an honest figure. Game reserves and wildlife parks in Africa doesn't generate nearly enough money to even sustain themselves, only two in South Africa makes a profit after paying only running costs, not even including anti-poaching units. The rest is all subsidized by governments who are corrupt and nothing gets done. Have a look at Kenya. They banned hunting in the '70s and have since lost over 75% of their wildlife. @@AfricanSunProductions I'm the same! Just GOT to have fun when experiencing the privilege of hunting at this level - it just sweetens all your memories!! Some years ago now, I went to Zambia for buff and hippo, I met my new PH (Zim based) in Lusaka. He knew nothing of me. But it so happened that when we landed at Mfuwe there was a military parade with lots of brass, soldiers and their army band all lined up and at attention (we later found this was for the President of Zambia who was 20mins behind us in a helo). As we ambled across the tarmac from the aircraft into arrivals, my PH scratched his head and said: "I wonder who the HELL all this is all for?" Quick as a flash I said deadpan: "Don't you know who I am?" Jeez! You should've seen his reaction!! His body jolted a bit, his eyes went as large as saucers and he even stepped a little way from me!! I just chuckled, said nothing, and kept on walking. The BEST bit that capped it all was, for no reason except friendliness, I just casually waved to the Bandmaster - who (no doubt feeling flushed being all donned up) SALUTED ME IN RETURN!! My PH saw this, and from THAT moment on I was MADE!! So for that, and the next day, whatever bullshit I cared to dribble to my PH he just lapped it all up!! I had him cold, just as long as I said everything with a straight face - which was damn hard to maintain!! In the end I had to come clean and put him out of his misery, and we both had a bloody good laugh - but not after he had belted me and called me every name under the sun!! That was a good few years ago now, and today we're still close friends!! 👍 (Btw, because the President of Zambia happened to be in our area, I ended up dropping another hippo and some PG for him - at no charge to me. It was a GREAT hunt!! 😊)

HI Miguel. All the meat is used in some way or form. A delicacy in Africa is to cook the stomach lining into a stew, so even the intestines are used. In certain parts of Africa hunting does help to bring numbers down. It is needed with certain species like Elephant which are very destructive when over populated. The biggest advantage of this specific hunt is that the funds generated are used to protect the land. Without their habitat these wild animals have nowhere to go. Each year the outfitter pays hundreds of thousands of dollars to the government. This is used to keep poachers out, keep villagers out and make sure no cattle comes into the area. Thanks for watching and for your comment.

Some of the best content on youtube. I'd love for this to become a reality not only once but many times. My wishlist is the big 5 Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo Alongside: Croc, Kudu, Hippo, warthog and giraffe. Of course id love them all but those are my top ten.
Why would you want to hunt a rhino? They’re critically endangered there are practically none left you shooting one would only contribute to the cause and the same goes for elephants

Correct me if I’m wrong but this is my opinion I find it is cruel to hunt lions they are already endangered and don’t see why we need to hunt and kill them
Hi Aaron and thanks for the comment. Southern Lion aren't endangered and this is hugely because of legal and controlled hunting. Western Lion on the other hand is almost wiped out. @@JimboJames-wu2df Richmond South Africa don't have a park or deer, so not sure what you mean. If you mean Richmond USA that's a different continent altogether and have different conservation challenges than Africa. Anyways, thanks for watching and for your comment.
@@JimboJames-wu2df Same thing then. Conservation in UK is different than conservation here in Africa.
@@JimboJames-wu2df Wildlife all over the world is kinda the same, but the people living in between these animals are way different and they poach way differently.
If you ban hunting all over Africa then YOU are to blame for losing 75% of all African game, and 100% in a few more years.
@@JimboJames-wu2df I do think you need to do some more (and honest) research into what you are preaching here. Like I mentioned before I can see you care about wildlife but have no idea about what's really going on here.

As we ambled across the tarmac from the aircraft into arrivals, my PH scratched his head and said: "I wonder who the HELL all this is all for?" Quick as a flash I said deadpan: "Don't you know who I am?"
Jeez!
(Btw, because the President of Zambia happened to be in our area, I ended up dropping another hippo and some PG for him - at no charge to me. It was a GREAT hunt!! 😊)
