Fish Tank may be my guiltiest pleasure. It's totally not my thing. In fact, I used to find Sam and Fish Tank's "edgy" humor deplorable. After watching the first season edits and now this I have to admit - I love these psychotic rejects. There's a passion and camaraderie behind it all, no matter how fucking insane they are. No one was ever truly hateful in the way you'd expect, despite all the drama and violence. The sheer, legitimate diversity of this cast (real diversity, not Hollywood diversity) and their resilience against literal hell on earth is a testament to humanity's strength. It made me really emotional to see the end.

We all know a Jimmy, except the ones we know eventually did his little tantrum thing to the wrong one and got curb stomped and all of a sudden he learns impulse control. He bottles up all his rage and goes home and takes it out on his wife or gf or kids. I've never met a Jimmy that got his shit kicked in and continued having impulse control problems. I know it's gay as hell, but it's nice to see Sam's true emotions come out. Sam always has this wall up, trying to keep you guessing. But sometimes, his façade breaks down for a moment and his true feelings come out.
Also I'm calling it, since everyone in Season 2 were all so unhinged even compared to Season 1, if they were given the "act gangster" challenge, they'd all legit start stabbing eachother lol Sam literally had them all take their medication and had to be there so much, I imagine in S3 hes gonna make sure itll be a hell of alot less exhausting lmao
season 1 was a majestic moment frozen in time forever with so few chatters at night it became cozy, this was a psychedelic fever dream from hell with constant borderline violence. It felt like someone was gonna get seriously injured or go to jail at any moment, best season might always be the best season (only because it ended up being incredible for everyone involved)
S2 had major Shining vibes and i loved it even though at the time it was often a hellish and confusing ride. I expected as much though just of the fact that it was taking place over xmas and new years
Cole got to play Halo 3 splitscreen with Sam Hyde i think we know who really won. Also the Brian unravelling arc was funny af and made me like him more. The show got worse after brian left.
