I had a relationship where his ex girlfriend was super close to his mom. It was irritating cause I felt like his mom preferred her over me for him. We just couldn’t connect like we should have because of his ex in the way. My ex was irritated with it too. I don’t understand why they can’t let it go and move on tbh. Whoever Dalvin marries, she better shut it all down.

I’ve seen this dynamic play out FAR too many times.
Nicole is the GIRL Dalvin was “in love” with in high school who he integrated into his family. Likely bc SHE needed a more a solid family unit as well.
Eli is the WOMAN that Dalvin could possibly build a solid foundation/relationship with. She’s GROWN and doesn’t NEED a “family”. She knows who she is coming into a relationship with Dalvin unlike Nicole who likely “found herself” while in relationship with him and is still finding herself after coming out of a “long” standing relationship that started in her youth.
