It is a problem if they are starving their kids to pay for jewelry but they could just have extra money. I don’t buy clothes or shoes (I wear the same one for 10 years) because they don’t bring me joy. I also don’t eat snacks because I don’t care for food that much. If I save $50 a month, I have $600 in a year or even $6000 in 10 years to spend on a piece of jewelry that will bring me joy. My friends spend way more on subscriptions and snacks than I spend on jewelry.

Stunning transformation on your part regardless of the Bride’s reason. The smaller diamond did get lost in the elaborate halo setting and surrounding diamonds. Your solution was perfection given what the Bride asked for.
I’ve kind of always thought more small diamonds tend to sparkle more than single diamonds, but the shape of that new diamond looks so much better with it anyways.
Wow ! What a great example of proportion, proportion, proportion ! Not only did the new stone brighten it up, but it balanced the whole composition. The smaller settings look even better now ! The old diamond ? Give it to her husband in a custum cockring setting 😘
And here I thought the point of the ring was to symbolize the commitment of the couple, not the 'sparkle'. I wonder how it made her husband feel that the ring he worked hard to afford for her just wasn't good enough.

The original stone looks about a carat and probably 2 grand in a jewelry store. The new stone looks like a 2 or 3 carat maybe ascher cut, square but with a lot more bling than an emerald cut. And probably $10,000 plus. The ascher is a beautiful stone and may not have been available when she first got the ring. Maybe that’s why she decided on it later. Engagement rings are an ongoing symbol of a marriage union and very important to women. Women frequently upgrade. She may want to keep her first ring for sentimental reasons, but a lot of people just think her husband is a cheapskate and often say so. It’s just easier to buy a ring more in keeping with their financial situation presently. The other option is to buy a large carat pendant or make a nice pendant of the first engagement ring.

That looked way better after. I typically don't like such heavily dimoned studded rings but the center diamond was really not sticking out compared to the smaller ones. It made a huge difference. Gives the ring a focal point and makes more cohesive sense.
I would never say no to any beautiful ring of course, and maybe it's down to my freakishly tiny hands but i think daintier, less chunky bands suit women's fingers better. This is such a fascinating channel to see the talent and techniques behind everything :D
Said like sometime who doesn't know that the original purpose of expensive engagement and marriage rings was. They were so if you split on her, she still had some cash in a time when a woman in that situation was considered devalued for any other good marriage. Like spousal support/alimony now. They have always been collateral and a gamble, that you can't get it back is literally the point. If you want to blame somebody, I suggest DeBeers for artificially inflating the cost of a new diamond, giving the false impression they aren't borderline worthless in resale, and pushing that "a diamond is forever" tagline to create a relatively very new tradition of having to buy one to get married. The younger gen already has started moving away from them to decommercialize their relationships and not carry around a sign of African suffering for the rest of their lives on their hand. Since you put yourself in the fiance's shoes, if you got all the way to the engagement and this was still unexpected behavior from her, you clearly were getting into something you weren't prepared for. Perhaps you too could use prioritizing surface appearances less. 😅
@@M.Campbell-Sherwood nope, dowries were there to earn interest instead of a higher class woman working, and were given to the husband to help him support them both. Dont correct people when you are wrong, dumbass.

Wow! That redesign is breathtaking. The stone is faceted to show all that sparkle. Just besutg,
Beautiful. The center stone is not hidden anymore but you kept the beautiful setting ❤️❤️
I'll take the Princess Cut, to me it's an everlasting tradition of elegant.
A True Beauty
Great job. It's beautiful and sparkles more.
Wow! What a transformation! I can’t believe there are still artists and jewelers like you still around! I need someone like you near me to help fix some of my jewelry!❤️👏👍
You let the light shine in! It looks so much better with the changes you made.
How incredible that there are people who think that more sparkly diamond can bring happiness
It can :)
I would rather buy a nice piece of jewelry than renovating a kitchen or even paying for Netflix subscription. The problem is that we know nothing about the owner.
"sparkly diamond can bring happiness" Maybe they just like the style? I don't get the conceding attitude of assuming they wanted "more happiness". If I add more bling to a sentimental necklace is that me being unsatisfied with what I have? No
You knew the assignment. 😊💎❤ it came out really beautiful.
I'm happy to wear it for her and she can get another one. I don't even own one 😢!. She needs to be grateful that he even buys her diamonds!.
How sweet. ❤😊😄😍
They totally do, because when you put one of a kind with a lot of others just like it, it gets lost
Wow ! What a great example of proportion, proportion, proportion ! Not only did the new stone brighten it up, but it balanced the whole composition. The smaller settings look even better now ! The old diamond ? Give it to her husband in a custum cockring setting 😘
✨👏😂Cockring!🤣✨
✨😉🥂Not to be confused with a Cocktail ring.💍✨
And here I thought the point of the ring was to symbolize the commitment of the couple, not the 'sparkle'. I wonder how it made her husband feel that the ring he worked hard to afford for her just wasn't good enough.
Or rather than letting his ego get in the way he is fine with it as whatever makes her happy makes him happy.
Maybe they are divorced.
Maybe he died.
Maybe they've been married for ages & he just wants her to get what she loves now that they have more money
There are a ton of circumstances. We don't know them.
@@Katy32344You don’t ever change the symbol of everlasting love that your husband gives you. That’s just the bottom line.
@@nonnynuI upgraded mine. We are a team now - the ring isn't just about him and what HE could afford. Now, it's a symbol of US and what WE could afford.
@@bjellnthe ring is a symbol of your commitment to each other, not how much you can afford.
She sounds like a real gem! 😉
Lol, good one!
I love the original because it looks like a flower with a round diamond and more elegant!
Ahhhh a woman after my heart, can't have too much bling! Beautiful job, the ring is definitely next level now. ❤
If she has a daughter, the old diamond would make a lovely pendant for her. 💎💎
Whoa! I thought it was already sparkly and then you really improved it and made it so much better then before! ✨️
Heck yeah, that looks so much better!!! beautiful upgrade, as for the other diamond, make a little pendant out of it
❤️❤️
Please, if the original diamond wasn't good enough for her Engagement Ring WTF made you think she would consider it good enough for a pendant 🙄
This ring is heavy on the bling! Faaaancy. I'm partial to simplicity myself. My favorite to wear ismy plain gold wedding band.
to each their own, I love the upgrade! recustom/ upgrade and designed my ring last year
it’s a small center diamond
the jeweler gives you credit on the stones and mental not used
to the people complaining, obviously you have never had custom jewelry upgrade?
People forget “more” diamonds doesn’t make a ring more sparkly. It just takes away from the center stone
Magnificent transformation. You did a great job. You have a beautiful eye for achieving good things. May God continue to bless you with all your work and much more customers to your counter.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The final result is a great improvement for this ring thanks to your expertise.
Gorgeous, lucky lady! Would totally see the old diamond centered in a chic halo pendant, giving homage to her original ring.
I agree with her opinion
The modification looks so much better
THE WOMAN WHO COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS RING, YOU MUST NOT MARRY HER
God forbid she wants to like the ring she has to wear forever. Your ego is so fragile its pathetic
@@ypp0p .. YOUR STUPIDITY IS FRAGILE ..... A WOMAN WHO LOVES THE MAN DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE VALUE OF THE RING
Bunch of crybabies here. Can't except that the ring is hers, not yours.
insecure and broke
@titandarknight2698 ... no is not hers you stupid woman ....... if the marriage doesn't happen or if they divorce the ring legally goes back to the man
Lovely ring before and after! The attention piece as the middle, larger stone really sets the ring off in all its glory! Beautiful!
Looks very royal! Well done!
But to the young man who helped her and fixed her problem great work you have a lot of great work.
This artistry is on another level
Ohhhh yess I agree, you surely upgraded this perfectly ❤💎
When enough isn't enough for some !
Gorgeous, it not for me, but is a stunning ring.
She was right.
And you did a great job.
I loved the original *art deco…timeless style*
Imagine how her fiance feels, realizing that the ring he picked out for her, wasn't good enough for her? Take the ring and run, son.
could be a family Heirloom
@@sherylF5610 That's even worse. Imagine you have a wedding ring passed down from your grandmother, and your son gives it to his fiance, and she takes it in and changes it. Might as well have given it back and said, "can I have a different one?" same thing in the end.
Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to change something on the ring buddy
she didn’t say it wasn’t good enough tho…
@@CatDaddy.OFCOURSE NOT, unless you consider the gratuity that was tossed in the bin. Not many women received heirloom jewelry these days and the far and few who dream of it lose out, often, because of selfish egotistical ninnys like this.
A before and after side by side video would be good for end of videos so we can teuly appreciate your work.
I agree with her, the new ring looks great!
It turned out beautiful
An upgrade stone is a lovely way to celebrate a milestone and the original center stone can be made into a beautiful pendant for her.
A pendant would be beautiful with that diamond. You always do such beautiful work. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful. You let the light in
That looked way better after.
Beautiful. Awesome craftsmanship
The updated ring looks so much better❤
I’d ask for my ring back, and find a different woman.
@@nivision No, that’s what dowries were for…
Booooom my thoughts exactly, what if his p**** isn't to her liking. It's BS and takes the meaning and magic away completely.
@@M.Campbell-Sherwood nope, dowries were there to earn interest instead of a higher class woman working, and were given to the husband to help him support them both. Dont correct people when you are wrong, dumbass.
If your ego is that fragile you would be doing her a favor. And she doesnt legally owe you the ring back so your loss lmao
Having better clarity with the new diamond makes a ton of difference!!
Clarity of the diamond has very little to do with how sparkly it is. Unless you are talking about industrial quality stone , which neither of these are
@tanyamav5616 what are you thinking?? Do you have any training at all? OK soo inclusions can be black.. black inside diamonds cut off refraction... white inclusions cut off refraction... the sparkle of the diamond is part of how one grades CLARITY... G.I.A. read .. study.. learn. Then type....
Wow! I love the diamond shape!
Oh my God, it’s gorgeous!!!!!
Imagine having so little problems that your ring not being sparkly enough is something you fix 💀
Her: "not enough"
Me: "too much"
How beautiful it is.
Wow WOW WOW! Fascinating video, great length and interesting detail. Talk about your sparkle ✨💖✨
Okay but the improvement is a no brainer. If you can do it, DOOO ITTTTTT go off queeeen. Sparkle your heart out.
