Please, SYL was one of the pioneers of funk. This man recorded way back in 68-70 and was the bedrock of EVERY rap (stealing) act ever since! This man recorded two albums and a bunch of singles for TWINIGHT/TWILIGHT that nearly every early rap artists ride on (without any creds). SYL is like JAMES BROWN "one well that never goes dry" and this man should be written in gold when it comes to FUNK...and later the one who skyrocketed all of this so-called artists that blatantly STOLE the drum breaks, guitar riffs and every other single piece of "FUNK" this man recorded like over forty years ago! SYL JOHNSON and the "TWINIGHT/TWILIGHT recordings are like a "HOLY GRAIL"!
