This movie was announced a long time ago, so it should be no surprise that they release it. Live-Action can always have a different impact on the viewer and let's be honest, a live-action version is still better than making a complete remake or a movie about the new series you can watch on TV.

Monstrous Nightmares Flame Body, Nadders Quills and Zipplebacks Gas and Spark) as well as the full Red Death fight :)

They can’t make a Httyd movie without the wyvern-like dragon we all love. Then i saw the thumbnail for this video and my expectations instantly sky-rocketed

If they then released the trailer and it looked like this, they would change their minds. clearly this is basicly a updated version to the animated as it following the original so closely that you honestly cant tell the difference. This begs the question why they didn't do a sequel as live adaptation since there is 12 books of content to draw from. The answer is, money.
