What would be cool is if you show what your target down payment is and put it on a progress bar, every time you spend your budget you reduce your progress bar and when you make profit your fill meter goes up. Would be cool to see it visually or animated.

Make sure you fully test those cards when you get the chance! Just checking for a post is a quick way to know its not a dud, but Ive had plenty of cards with dying vram and other issues that have no issues posting or loading drivers. The issues only become clear once a full vram and gpu core stress test is run for a few hours at least. The 3060 12gb for $70 is insane, nice job grabbing that!

I love this series, not only are people getting better deals then the "budget" gaming PCs from amazon etc. there is a lot of hardware getting reused that would normally just sit or get tossed.
One small tip, when painting plastic always apply a primer. The color will stick much better and will look much nicer and last longer. The paint has a tendency to peel off the plastic due to the heat, the primer prevents this
anyone else noticed how much of a glow up he has had since episode 1.

Before spray painting the gpu get a micro fiber sheet and wipe the dust off of it, so it will be a smooth surface 😊
thats good advise but sandpapering it after and before painting it is even better. Thats what they do with cars too before painting because smooth surface aint good for painting.
I would have also put a clear coat which would give the color some pop and also protection
Put the cans of spray paint in a bucket of hot water before ya use them as well

Try and put high heat paint on the plastic and back. A lot of standard can paint will be eaten away as heat gets to it.
Putting on high heat spray will stop that and give it a longer life and a better looking one as well.

I did something similar to what you did with the Zotac card, accidentally put my finger inside the fan and completely broke it. Ended up delaying my build by about 1 week and set me back another $20. Lesson learned about Zotac cards.

Off topic, but I'd like to see another series where you compare used components, especially GPU's, as a none expert it's hard to tell GPU's apart, they often have the same/similar names but are drastically different.

The gtx 1080ti is faster at the moment but with games starting to release with Direct X12_2 Ultimate and like the GTX 780 ti which was still a very capable card which now can't launch modern games because it did support DX12 the GTX 1080Ti's days are limited especially with Nvidia's track record of Driver Support

Great vid! Is it worth the extra cost to go with an nvme drive on a flip? I would assume most buyers who are buying a flip off of marketplace wouldn't know the difference and would see, at least, 1TB,and at most M.2. Great vids as always!

In my opinion the 1080ti was a better deal and heres why. Id pay no more than 150-200 for a used 3060, and I'd pay no more than 300-350 for a used 1080ti. So theres ~130 profit on the 3060 and ~200 profit on the 1080ti.
Thankyou for adding a running total I've asked a few times for that and it's great seeing it and white system was a clean build. You should also use super high grit sand paper and rub down the plastic slightly before paininting(I learned that the hard way kinda similar to your first paint attempt)

the biggest mistake i make when finding good deals is believing things are too good to be tru. once i saw a listing of gaming chair for 10 buck i checked the online price and its normall 200 so i thought it was fake. but then i realized it was a rela deal and i missed out on it
Spraying that paint in your house? LOL scuff the plastic with a scotch pad and wipe with Prep-all. You wont have that issue again.
