    Great video as usual , please do a video about Portugal Golden Visa capital funds investments.
    This is getting popular but no information about how risky it’s in Portugal in comparison to the US for example.

    Great! This hopefully means shopify payments will come to UAE because it runs on top of stripe

    You're right about UAE, they just keep getting better. Introducing Stripe was a logical option.
    I definitely see more and more business owners moving there. Zero percent tax while living in the first world country. Just awesome!

    To get more insights into the beginnings and rise of Stripe, I suggest to read the book "Innovation Stack", authored by cofounder of Stripe.

      Never believe in narrative :-) of CXO or Founder, it's a common saying in stock market that world's best liars, promoters are company founders/CXOs!!!

      Isn't it the co-founder of Square who wrote the book not Stripe?
      Either way definitely appreciate the recommendation, any other good books you can suggest?
      For me the shocking thing isn't the success of Stripe but the fact that in 10 years of proving it's a better model for growth essentially no one has copied them, complete idiocy of institutions.

    what do you think of paypal 180day jail? before stripe expanded that was the best payment processor for many businesses and many of them had this ban

    • @MichaelRosmer
      @MichaelRosmer 3 года назад +2

      Paypal is such a weird service. On the one hand I hate it on the other hand there's really no equivalent in the market. In UAE Paypal is terrible at first but if you build with them it can be the best option so almost worth the short term pain.

      To be fair Stripe has negative consequences, like Paypal in some of these markets for instance settlement currencies but still it's a great move forward.

    It’s not hard to get a Stripe account in UAE 🇦🇪 you must have a business license and bank account + ID and you’re ready to go 😁

      By global standards Dubai isn't that expensive. If you can afford London or Paris or Zurich or Oslo etc. you can afford Dubai. Groceries are expensive but transportation is not, housing is medium, not cheap but also not insane. Also depends where you live. Consider there's a huge service sector in Dubai and they are all living on pretty low wages. Go shopping and live in Deira and you can get by on a very modest income. Will that buy you a villa on the Palm or Emirates Hills? No, of course not but then again you wouldn't afford a big place in NYC either.
