**The Ring Nebula** In the velvet tapestry of night, it gleams, A halo spun from stardust, softly bright, A perfect ring adrift in cosmic dreams, A relic of a star’s most final flight. Encircled there, the remnants of a sun, Once fierce with fire, now a ghostly core, A white dwarf glows, its battles long begun, A mystery wrapped in silence evermore. What secrets lie within that silent sphere? What ancient light, what whispers of the past? The nebula, in beauty, draws us near, Yet keeps its deepest truths in shadows cast. The gas expands, a ribboned, fleeting grace, A final breath in colors spread so wide, Yet still, the white dwarf holds its steady place, A sentinel where once a giant died. O Ring Nebula, you tell of life and death, Of burning hearts that flicker, fade, then end, In your bright arc, we glimpse a fleeting breath, And ponder what awaits around the bend. In you, we see the cycle ever new, Of stars reborn in endless cosmic hue.
Telescopes would be more popular if the good ones were actually more affordable. I'd be willing to bet astrology and astronomy would even become more of an interesting subject to get into.
I volunteer with our local observatory, and one of the biggest things I have seen that keeps people from getting into astronomy isn’t the telescope, it’s knowing where to point it. It takes practice and can be difficult if one doesn’t spend time with it. Plus there’s the whole staying up late thing that can be an obstacle for many people. It’s especially rough during the summer! 😅 (Note: You can get a decent tabletop telescope for $250-$300)
@@ericsims3368 thats really interesting. I never thought about it. I remember the last time I owned a telescope the only places I pointed it were the moon and Jupiter. Since they were easy to find.
@@ericsims3368 I have to disagree with you on that because if I did have one I would have no problem whatsoever pointing it at something. Also, I mentioned that the good ones are not affordable the decent ones your talking about will only give you a clear image of the moon lol. I want to see further then just what's right next to us.
Hi the ring nebula picture taken was clear and different colors mix shoe vividly. Did you use any filter and what is the camera you used. How about subframe time and total exposure. Thanks.

@@rami_astro I can’t send an email because if my wife sees I’m spending that kind of money she’s going to complain. She just got diagnosed with lung cancer so my health insurance costs me 37k per year for ppo. But I have to have it. I’m a custom home builder and am very successful. I’m starting a custom home Monday the pays me 1.4 million in commission!! I’m in the north part of Houston in the Woodlands Texas area. So once that job gets off the ground she won’t have a reason to complain and then I will email you then. Or if you can share some information on this chat I’m grateful. I have a cannon digital camera also if it can also be used. I also downloaded Stellarium mobile app and another one for locating objects in the sky. I understand that the iPhone apps can be used to photograph and navigate the tracking system on the telescope. I spend most of my time in the evenings watching stars and videos about telescopes so I’m putting in the hours self learning about the hobby and the tools. But it gets overwhelming. I want a scope I can see the red dot on Jupiter but also see the nebulas in their fullest detail and clarity as possible for the amount of money I’m going to spend. I understand there is a special type of lenses that are needed, also a field flattener I think is what it’s called to see the all the start around a nebula in clarity so I can take pics of a nebula in a feild of stars around it to make cool pics. My plan is to make really cool pics to create posters that I could do a book or sell posters on Amazon. If something happens to my wife I’m going to be lost in a depression and won’t want to leave my gate. I’m 54 so to start over with a woman would not be an option. Besides she’s not replaceable and to even have a girlfriend would feel so uncomfortable and not right. And to be tied down again as a depressed man from the loss of Beverly is not going to happen. So just me the dogs and my telescope and my drumset will be all I do until Jesus comes to take me home. So you now know all my secrets. And if you have some helpful knowledge it’s greatly appreciated. Do you have a channel you post videos you make about astrophotography? Thanks again!

What determines the color, is the nebula green?

Astrology has very little to do with astronomy lol.
Maybe we would have less flat-earthers too.
