I got mine on release. Coming from the Ender 3 this is so much better! No amount of upgrades can match this printer! I can actually turn the printer on and expect it to print. I don’t need to drink heavily after using it. 🥳
Its amazing to see how far Creality has come with the Ender series. This printer seems to have addressed many of the issues users had with the older models. The improved Y-axis design is a game-changer, and I love the inclusion of load cells for leveling
I agree, I’m impressed by this machine for sure. It makes this so simple, yet if you really wanted to, there is a path for upgrades. Like a K1 hotend, etc. Fun.
Thanks for the great and honest review! If I would put a glass bed on this printer, will all the auto-calibration feature still work? Especially the auto Z-offset?
That’s a great question. I’m not sure the auto z offset would be as accurate because it relies on the under bed pressure sensor but I think it’ll still work. worth a test! the bed leveling would be fine though, it uses a CR touch for that.
Great video, thanks. My Ender 3 V3 SE arrives tomorrow and I've never printed anything before so this is all new to me. Hopefully its as good as most of the reviews make it out to be.
I got this printer as my first ever machine three weeks ago and just love it. It has been running almost none stop during the day and I have had zero issues. I have printed cabnets, drawers, nuts and bolts and other trinkets with no trouble. I designed all of these things with Tinker Cad wich is fairly easy to use. In my opinion if you are new to 3d printing this machine is for you. Easy to assemble and use.
Interesting machine. Good to see Creality providing a budget oriented improvement over the typical v-wheel bed slinger. The rods in the Y are good to see. Most bed slingers are limited by the y for both speeds and quality (ringing etc). The change to the orientation in the X* might be because the KE has a rail on top? So even though this uses wheels on the X they can use similar base parts...? Love seeing load cells on printers. Essentially a solid state component with moving parts. I hope printer developers can start to use them as more than just binary levelling switches. A UI indicator for whether something is a sub menu or actionable button should definitely be added

Im a complete beginner in 3D printing, and this video is making me seriously consider the Ender 3 V3 SE as my first printer. Its heartening to see the positive feedback here. Anyone have tips for a newbie like me?
This machine is my current recommendation for newcomers, it’s SO easy in comparison to just a few years ago. If you want to print with PLA, this is a good one to jump into.
A very thorough review. Clear and detailed. Good work! Just a few remarks: I would have liked to see how the first layer was printed. That would have showed how close the auto calibration turned out to be. Secondly - It would have been nice if you showed us what slicer Creality has chosen. Is it Cura based? Prusa slicer based? I have no doubts there will be a profile available for both the Cura and Prusa slicer (or even the BambuLabs based slicer), but for now it has to be the Creality slicer. Oh - and a tip. I know those build plates from Creality. Strange as it may sound, you can avoid models sticking too hard to these kind of build plates by using a thin layer of spray adhesive. I personally use 3DLAC witch is a cheap but very effective spray that will last hundreds of prints (you mostly only have to spray once for several prints). Considering the Menu. I agree it is counter-productive to show menu items as submenu, while in reality it's a toggle. That's confusing. However - Is this not pointed out in the manual? Most Creality machines come with a decent manual and a menu lay-out. Especially a beginner will read that manual before clicking all kinds of buttons. It seems Creality is as close as possible to a inexpensive "plug and play" 3D printer. I think that's a good thing, especially for those that are new to 3D printing. I certainly are tempted to try this model out for the price point it is offered.
Im on the hunt for my first 3D printer, and this one is at the top of my list. Im looking to print articulated toys by Flexi Factory too! This Ender 3 V3 SE looks promising, but Im still a bit nervous about diving into 3D printing for the first time. 😄

I just got my 3V3 today. I'm just getting to know it, and haven't printed anything with it yet. What are you using for your slicer? Do you have to use the Creality Print default slicer? Or can you use Prusa (My choice) or Orca (I'm looking into it). I will eventually want to get to get my V3 connected to OctoPi, and my normal workflow (to my 3V2) is to send my print wirelessly from my PC to Octopi via Prusaslicer. I'm a bit concerned about using my 3V2 settings on the 3V3, especially with the autolevel settings. Don't want to mess anything up. I think I will buy another PLA bed for my 3V3. My biggest problem right now is the lack of third party support for this printer. I use Octoprint to manage my ender 3v2 and while it WORKS for my enter 3v3, the host action commands are disabled which means there's no two way communication between the printer and Octoprint. The ender 3v3 is a great printer crippled by bad software and no (current) ability to side step to a third party firmware option. Company endorsed community support is non existent. So I wait for someone way smarter than me to create a custom firmware configuration for the ender 3v3.

I have one. It is a nice printer but the extruder clicks even with no filament. I have seen similar reports from others. After Contacting Creality and following the video they provided to rebuild the extruder it still clicks. I am impressed with the bed leveling but the extruder is garbage. I am still waiting for a solution. the other thing is that the to adjust the tension on the extruder you have to take the cover off the hot end every time... all it needed was a hole to place the allen key.

You need a slicer for this one. But Creality does make it quite easy. You just select the type of filament you loaded into the machine and drag and drop your STL or even choose one from the slicers built in library.
@@3DPrintSOS Yes, the coupon worked, thanks. Unfortunately, the printer does not seem to work. I put it together a few days ago but today is the first chance I've had to turn it on and set it up. When I try to print anything, even the cat that came on the memory card, it randomly moved the print head and the bed for about 10 minutes, then starts the print, and within two seconds displays "Complete". It never extrudes filament. I was afraid there was something wrong when during the initial z offset setup it never touched the print bed, it sat at least 100mm above through the entire setup process. I'll go through the setup process one more time before boxing it back up and returning it.
@@3DPrintSOS After doing so Googling I see that this problem is not unique to me. There are many, many post with people having the same problem with this printer but no fixes for it. Looks like it will have to be sent back.
Hi, thx for the great review, mine is arriving tomorrow, i am going to use my sonic pad with it, i am just worried about the hotend, do you know if there is a hotend bi-metal upgrade for it as i can't seem to find one. Thanks
I know you touched base on your live stream a week ago regarding the ender 3 v3 KE but would you get the 3 v3 Se or the K1. Right now you can get the K1 for 379.00
No. This machine has a PTFE lined hotend and the open air chassis of the machine wouldn’t well with ASA. You’d need a heat break and an enclosure. But then the temps on the hotend are limited as well. This is a PLA machine
I’m looking for my first printer and this is winning so far. I want to print mostly dragons and articulated toys by flexi factory. With this be easy to do that? Looks like it should be but I’m nervous 😂
Hey great video, I just got one of these and when I go to do the auto leveling it just goes to the top right and just shuts off, any ideas on how I could fix this?
Mine is a piece of junk. It made three prints than crapped out. It won't level, and when trying to do a print, the print head remains stationary while the display print time is clocking down from an 8hr print job to finish in just under a minute. Creality customer service was no help. I purchased a Anycubic Kobra MAX the same time, and it has been performing flawlessly with no issues whatsoever. The Kobra Max is running in the other room right now while the Creality printer is sitting on my desk as a useless paperweight.
Hi i just have this printer. And just ajust the heatbed to 40 c. And there.s no need for i peivel. What you want to do is use Cura. I agree to if you klik it moves to do its thing and you can not stop it. That a mis. You better dive in to world of cura setting.s. Its a super printer.
@@3DPrintSOS I don't get why Creality did that. I know Bambu did their build surface so the parts would stick at a lower bed temperature. And Bambu has what I think is PEI on the other side. It seems like Creality almost got this printer 100% right 😄
I have a question: how much can I speed up printing so as not to lose quality? Now, on my ender 3 v3 se I print 150%. How much more can I increase? but so as not to lose quality. I'm a beginner and I'm afraid to give more than 150%.
Send it! I’ve done 500% on some machines. Completely depends on the sliced file and its settings. But you can always go faster and back it down if you dont like what you see. ;)
@@3DPrintSOS I understand ok. And how much should the ventilation speed be set? 100% is in Ender 3 Se - 255 rpm. And if during printing I give e.g. 50% turnover, what will happen during printing? Will it peel off?
This video was great and helpful. I have a request if you are looking for video ideas. Articulated models. There actually isnt much out there about how to troubleshoot getting good articulated models to print. I am a noob printer. I really want to make these little models for family and friends but am having a hard time getting the right settings (fusing issues mostly). It looks like you are a bit of a pro at the dragons. Maybe you could share some of that expertise with the rest of us?
Hi fedor I have just bought it and the bed is so noisy and vibrates like mad, its like the rollers on the bed need greasing, can you advice, have I got a faulty machine or has anyone you know had this problem. At the moment my first print is the cat and its vibrating a lot. my ender 3 neo max is great by the way
Hmm. Mine is SUPER smooth on both the KE and SE which use the same system. I wonder if you have something loose like a bearing mount bolt. You should be able to tighten them under the flex bed. Otherwise, yeah time to grease those rods.
@@3DPrintSOS Thanks Fedor for replying, I thought i'd have a look at it, so I took my PEI sheet off and where the 2 screws are at the back where the hot plate is fixed on, there is 2 scratch like marks pretty deep, so Ive decided to return it to Amazon UK. Thanks again Fedor I love your videos

I have 12 printers and I got my grandson this printer for Christmas. It over extruded out of the box. Had to calibrate esteps. It was way off. The SD card cat was horrible. I was very surprised
I think that I'm going to wait for the KE version. Just for the better OS, for the ceramic extruder and the PEI sheet. They decided to create a creality os based on klipper so maybe it's a good option for few bucks more. I never had a 3d printer and I ended up choosing between ender v3 series and neptune 4. This inspires me more than neptune 4. I still don't know which one is better (anybody has a suggestion maybe?)
I have no experience with the Neptune machines, but both the SE and KE are great for first machines. Both of them are very easy to use, which is a huge plus. The SE is super affordable and the KE is very capable.
I didnt miss it. I went over it. I just dont think it matters for this target market. The people that want that are going to want the KE and the people that dont care are going to stick with PLA and TPU which is what this machine is meant for. ;)
@@3DPrintSOS I don"t like toxins when ex. trying to print PETG, which this printer is surely going to be used for. Especially since there is no reason whatsoever to keep on playing with people's health like that. A full-metal (doesn't have to be bi-metal) heatbreak would not cost more and would remove the risk and max. temperature limitation this PTFE liner causes.
I agree with you. However, I get why they do it. If 99% of people with this machine are going to print with PLA, the PTFE lined heartbreak would technically be better. No many people are going to buy this for PETG because they would already know, as you do, that there are better options out there for printing hotter.
I got my Ender 3 V3 SE and it's just as annoying as the V2 I had. Out of the box it just prints blobs of goo and the auto calibration doesn't do or help anything. I'm sending it back and never buying an Ender again. I am a fool for believing Creality actually fixed their awful QC.

This is the best review I’ve seen
Are the nozels replaceable or or different sizes? What's pid in the menu?
Nice review
I know this a video about the printer but is the sonic pad supported or able to connect and use it with this printer
I heard it will soon support it. Same with the upcoming Nebula Pad. :)
@3DPrintSOS thank you for the update I've been looking everywhere for any kind of news about it
Hi, thx for the great review, mine is arriving tomorrow, i am going to use my sonic pad with it, i am just worried about the hotend, do you know if there is a hotend bi-metal upgrade for it as i can't seem to find one. Thanks
Since this uses a pretty standard sprite extruder, Im guessing you can use any sprite extruder hotend modification.
@@3DPrintSOS Thanks mate printer should have arrived today but they didn't make it so i am hoping to get it tomorrow, thanks again for the info
@@3DPrintSOS Thanks for the heads up, trying a spider ver 3, got a bit of issues but going to lathe a few pieces in ALU should work out in the end
so... i have a question :the build plate it's 220x220 or 235x235
I do have a question if you had to choose what printer would you say is better the printer in this video or the voxelab aquila D1?
I know you touched base on your live stream a week ago regarding the ender 3 v3 KE but would you get the 3 v3 Se or the K1. Right now you can get the K1 for 379.00
K1. it’s just so versatile for that amount of money. can’t be beat.
Once its done and ciooled heat the plate back to PLA temps and she should let loose..
Nice pro tip! Never heard to doing it this way but I will give it a try. I need to print a single layer, full build plate sheet and see how it does.
In brasil, this costs more than a minimum salary, this the most cost effective buy for us.
Can i print ASA with this machine ?
I just spent a week straight just printing flexi and articulated toys on this. Disnt skip a beat. Highly recommend.
Thank you! I have ordered it and am rewatching this video :) would love a updated video if you are still using it
If I purchase the PEI sheet - Will it interfere with the auto Z Offset function? Thanks
Not at all, I did 99% of my prints with a PEI
@@3DPrintSOS
Thanks
😁😁👍👍
Is the physical build sheet size 220mm², or 235mm² ?
It’s the same as any Ender or K1. So 235.
Are you supposed to use glue stick on on the build plate? I know with the bambu “cool plate” you are supposed to use glue stick.
Theres no hope for polycarbonate. I hated it in 2018, and I hate it now. haha There is no comparison with PEI.
I don’t like it but that’s the way that machine is. I think having to use glue stick is a step back.
I think that PEI I linked is 10-12 dollars. I wouldnt even buy a machine without it at this point.
@@3DPrintSOS I don't get why Creality did that. I know Bambu did their build surface so the parts would stick at a lower bed temperature. And Bambu has what I think is PEI on the other side. It seems like Creality almost got this printer 100% right 😄
why does it reset when i click print and wont print pls help
Seen this on their website here in uk its £170 thinking buying this to make rc parts for our rc cars
And so not forget to set the retract to 10 .
And your stringing is gone.
So nice
Which option is better ender v3 se for 242 CAD or bambulab a2 mini for 389 CAD
❤
Does anyone know how to fix the machine not reading any SD card? I’ve tried reformatting the SD card and it is
Hi fedor I have just bought it and the bed is so noisy and vibrates like mad, its like the rollers on the bed need greasing, can you advice, have I got a faulty machine or has anyone you know had this problem.
Thanks again Fedor I love your videos
hey i know that maybe its already old video , but i have bought ender 3 v3 se , and it just check levels , i mean the places , not giving even levels which they are , then just doing it few times , and giving QR code which doesn't even working ... someone help ?
Had any luck?
@@3DPrintSOS and the KE is a way between the SE and the V3 (that should be announced soon)
Did you not miss one major negative? PTFE all the way to the nozzle ... when will Creality learn?
Looks like creality copied sovols sv06 😅
I think Sovol uses and licenses creality components ;)
I got my Ender 3 V3 SE and it's just as annoying as the V2 I had. Out of the box it just prints blobs of goo and the auto calibration doesn't do or help anything. I'm sending it back and never buying an Ender again. I am a fool for believing Creality actually fixed their awful QC.
Its amazing to see how far Creality has come with the Ender series. This printer seems to have addressed many of the issues users had with the older models. The improved Y-axis design is a game-changer, and I love the inclusion of load cells for leveling
looks like a great choice for beginners. The auto-calibration feature and simplified user interface can make 3D printing less intimidating for newcomers. Plus, its reasonably priced, which is a big selling point for me
This machine looks like a solid upgrade over the previous Ender 3 models. The change to using rods in the Y-axis is a promising improvement. Its interesting to see load cells in printers - a step towards more precise levelling. However, I agree that a cl

Im on the hunt for my first 3D printer, and this one is at the top of my list. Im looking to print articulated toys by Flexi Factory too! This Ender 3 V3 SE looks promising, but Im still a bit nervous about diving into 3D printing for the first time. 😄
This is my current goto recommendation for a first 3D printer. So easy to use. You’ll love it.
Great review, very detailed. I do wish you showed how well the auto-calibration handled the first layer, as thats a crucial aspect. Also, it would be interesting to know which slicer Creality chose to ship with this model. Nevertheless, its fantastic to
I just downloaded their latest slicer and it worked instantly. Creality Print. As far as the first layer, it’s all fully automated. No configuring or messing about. It just does it for you. There is a section in the video where I show how it does it and explain it.
Curious about long-term performance
