Saw this fellow and his band at Pickathon near Portland OR years ago... had no idea who he was at all. He absolutely mesmerized myself and everyone else in the audience. It's such a mind opening experience to see someone like this who you've never heard who just blasts you into another level. Man, did I get lucky that day
I love Steve Gunn and he is getting better and better. This was the record which made me discover him. Some songs can last forever like this one. He has the ability to create beautiful gitar songs and melodies. NowI listen daily to Ancient Jules and The Unseen in Between. Thank you very much for posting

could listen to this for hours, beautiful pace and playing
This is just perfection. You can listen to that solo on a loop forever. I would love to hear David Gilmour's take on this.
Steve Gunn and his band play beautiful ethereal music that hits the perfect sweet spot in guitar texture between melody and menace
that slide is giving me the chills

An excellent version of my favorite Gunn song.
Grateful sound, and I love it.
Some of the most liquid guitar playing of all time!
Han Solo killing it on the lapsteel

What's his connection with K. Vile? This song sounds great, it has a Manassas vibe to it to it. Anybody even know that album?
I think he played in Kurt's band for a while
