Amen Pastor ! When I left our previous church I talked to the Pastor and let him know that it wasn’t because of him or any of the church family and that we loved them all we just felt God was leading us to move on and we prayed hard about it and the Lord lead us to Northstone .
I left my old church with my family. It was a nice church and still have great relationships with some of them. The issue was covid and we just couldn't see eye to eye at all. Also the pastor told me he never knew what I could do in ministry. Went to a sister church and God blesses us. The right way is always God's way!
The primary legitimate reason for folks to leave a church is doctrinal apostasy. The most common reasons are preferential or relational-neither legitimate. Think about this: As messed up as the church of Corinth was, Paul never told anyone to leave. He instructed them to be unified (chapters 1-4) and yo fix their mess!
This is a great explanation of HOW to leave a church. Many times people talk about when or why but not HOW.
