I’ve noticed recently that even in BR, it feels like there have been more bots than usual. And the worst part is that they die off so early in the match. So, eventually, you have to spend the last 10 minutes of the game on a scavenger hunt just to find the last bot team in the middle of nowhere, sitting in a corner pickaxing a rock.
It's funny bc so many people complain about how difficult the game is despite all of these changes (like bots) that are put in the game in an effort to make the game more casual-friendly. Having 80% of your lobby filled with AIs makes the game feel artificial and less rewarding when you win.
I remember back in chapter 1 season 2 i got my first win after trying for a week Nowadays i straight up leave the game sometimes because i never come across any real players and its just so BORING
Honestly bots have a place in the game. In pub lobbies there should be about 50/60 bots per lobby. They let you get a feel for the game while still giving you enough players to cause some challenge. Meanwhile for reload, there should only be about 12 bots. This kinda fixes the issue with way too sweaty lobbies while also not causing way too much of a downgrade in challenge Also, make it so the number of bots change with player skill. Let's say, depending on the number of crowned wins you have with anything above 15 wins being like 65-80 real player lobbies
I really don't think bots should be in the game past your first few games to begin with, and it should be explicitly stated they are there. Someone just getting into the game, queuing up, and gettin a 100% bot lobby and likely winning because the bots are not very good is fine if they introduce your first game as a tutorial on how to actually PLAY the game. The fact that I still see bots in games with friends who are at a similar skill level as I am (peak Elite in ranked as of now) is honestly just lame.

Tbh, I like the concept of the third option more. Mainly because I could have the bots at the start to try to get a win (keyword TRY bc I ain't that great at the game even with bots) then I could play real matches to get a better feeling win. Mainly I want this because never winning a game and getting horrible placements doesn't well with so to have a chance to win at least something makes playing fn easier. TL;DR 3 option because me bad and me want 1 win to not feel horrible about my skill.
At least there's one significant upside about bots: It's much easier to farm xp off the quests in bot lobbies (especially when it comes to story quests)

I think the best solution is to have brand new players get bot lobbies and actually be told that they are. Then after 1-3 games of getting the feel of the game, they tell you they're taking the training wheels off and there's no more bots ever again. THANK YOU for making this video. I am genuinely getting sick of landing at the most isolated place on the map, only to be greeted with a bot landing 10 seconds later. I feel like the bot spawn percentage has been SO much worse since chapter 5 started, it’s just unbearable at this point.
I would personally like for bots to be exclusive in a practice mode of sorts. A battle royale of only bots. Perhaps the mode could have varying difficulties of bots. I know that there are different levels of bots as some of the ones I run into naturally are slightly difficult for me to distinguish, and others are just completely obviously bots. I personally would love to play that mode as a main. I haven't played in a long time because I stopped wanting to set up manual bot lobbies. The ones you can force are simply too easy. I want a small amount of challenge but not a person who plays 24/7 in my lobbies.
-Get home and hop on Fortnite to kill some time -Get in game just to realize all of your 13 kills are bots -win with like 27 kills -ready up for a new game -kill like 6 more bots -get in a fight with the first real person -get absolutely destroyed by a kid with sever vitamin D deficiency -repeat

I’m a switch player so running into bots is an inevitability. But holy fucking shit I am so goddamn sick of running into the same goddamn bots every match. It’s gotten to the point I can only tell a bot from a real player if they do something *really* specific like slide-jump-go into build mode-place stairs before they land and land on the still being constructed stairs.
The only time I like bots is when I'm trying to complete quests don't have to worry about cracked players sending me back to the lobby making me complete quests for rewards longer than it needing to be
People don't understand on the mindset when it comes to this community. Nobody ever wants to truly fight for the things they want. There's a saying "Give a man a fish" that symbolizes on give a player something and they will forget about the problem real quick because they have what they want. Maybe they should enable bots for like the first and last 2 weeks of a season, so people can get familiar with the changes and complete their battle passes, and inbetween we just don't have bots.
The issue I feel like at least partly stems from a lot of people being either very young and/or just very bad and see the game as something made for kids and thus any actual challenge ruins the game for them. I don't think bots will ever go away simply because the larger side of the playerbase genuinely wants them so that they can have wins too.

Also it’s a necessary evil as for new players playing against real players with experience makes it so new players leave as they don’t have easy targets. Also now I find it hard to tell who is a bot or not so they are good now.

1:20 reload is the only fortnite gamemode where you can use hitscan weapons and be on the GOOD map, and its such a bummer that it is so sweaty and that the resurgence mechanic is so poorly executed in fortnite because you kill one teammate and the other runs away. it is so ratty and such a terrible gamemode and they either need to add solos(so i dont get trash teammates who are literally afk) or just bring back fortnite OG permanently.

Like the bots isn't some weird decision or whatever, like look at PUBG, their casual mode literally tells you in the main menu "This mode has 88 bots and 12 real players" nobody would wanna have 100 real players in casual matches, in your head it sounds good but with SBMM involved it would suck.

i prefer play with a entire bot lobby and do the missions in peace instead of having to play with fncs players and dying every single freaking time

Counter argument: if these new players face bots most of the time, when they finally have to face an actual player and instantly get deleted because they never developed the skill necessary to face them dude to the bots being too easy to deal with, they rage quit.
Bots don't solve the problem, they only delay the inevitable.
If a person really cares about this game, they will stay no matter how many times they fail before becoming good
just play ranked
