5:00 shrimp on top of a bed of sweet potatoes and deep fried 6:23 the sourness is from the nem, fermented pork, and the “nuttiness” from the bì, pig skin mixed with toasted rice flour 10:00 snails are beer snacks, gotta down it with some cold beer! Good to see you guys trying everything without giving it second thought, you can’t go wrong with VNmese food.
Vietnam definitely have a great cafe culture. Their coffees can be dessert like egg coffee or coconut ice cream coffee, or morning eye opener like cafe sua da, or thirst quencher like the one you guys had. And we're not even talking about their distinct exterior and interior decor or even the low cost. I'm surprised your boyfriend has no problem with shrimp that had not had shell removed yet. Maybe you Canadians have no problem with shrimp with shell on. We Americans are pretty wimpy and miss out on fresh shrimp food in Asia because of this wimpy ass fear.
Wow, your rainy day food adventures in Hanoi look amazing! 👍 That noodle soup looks like the perfect way to warm up. What was your favorite dish from this video?
Hi Sherry, Amazing video! I’m heading to vietnam soon and would like to try out these places. Do you have the names of the places you went to by chance? :)
I hope you have so much fun :) I tried my best to capture all the storefronts including names in the video!! the ones that are not there unfortunately I can't remember 😞
the lemongrass and lime leaves were served along to get rid of the "sometimes smelly" smell from the snails, also, because the snails or seafood usually considered as cold stomach food, the ginger and hot chillies (hot tummy) are to balance out the cold stomach feeling, better for food disgeting.
Sooo… 2 very nosy lesbians here 🙈. This is wholly inappropriate because when people ask about my ethnicity (Scottish Pakistani 🏴 🇵🇰) I’m a bit like 👀😒 if their a bit crusty but me and my GF (Thai 🇹🇭) are really wanting to know about your ethnicity? Also because if I’m wrong I need to open my purse and put on a performance 💃. If this offends, honestly accept our apologises… but girl what beautiful genetics gave your that angelic face?!!!
