Right now all Indian bowling is moving around Bumrah, Siraj is lightly produce some performance so why not they included Shami I'm the Squad. I fully agree with Gavaskar sir opinion about Rohit, Virat future in test cricket. In fact Rohit should not play in Sydney test. And Team management should drop Rishabh Pant for atleast one test (Sydney) for his irresponsible short in both the innings of this test. I recall in the past, great Gavaskar sir as captain ,did the same with Kapil Dev for his irresponsible/rash short resulted india lost the test match which india could have been saved as Melbourne test. It is very important to show playerd the team/ India pride is bigger than their individual status. They are playing for india that's why they are something and world respect/love them.
Our players forgot how to win or draw test match. Most of them trying to take rest as quickly as possible. Sunil gavaskar was the best test batsman ever. He knows how make the match draw or to win. Present players must learn by watching gavaskar's bating before going to play test match. It is in fact Gavaskar is the route cause to increase interest in cricket. Since 1971 he brought the audience to the stadiums. The present players owing a lot to Gavaskar. He is the person BCCI to give importance to players. But, he is not given due respect to him. How many double centuries he made in the test matches during that period unlike other players. BCCI must recommend his name for an excellent award by our Govt. I have been watching test matches as well as one dayers and T20s. Gavaskar is one of the best commentator also. His voice also be very sweet. Others are after him only. Rohit was never a test batsman, he was included very late and did play a few good innings when his hand and eye coordination was good, He cant play swing and spin - period. Virat has lost his reflex and also has a BIG EGO that he will never correct or accept his weaknesses . Yes I agree Rohit and Virat should now gracefully bow out from Test Cricket (not taking away anything from what both have accomplished in their respective careers) the BCCI should also look to prepare the players who are on the fringes for the challenges of touring abroad. For example the major future tours are known almost 18 months in advance. If we have a 5 match series scheduled in July 2025 against England in England then in July-August 2024 a 16 man squad comprising of players like Eswaran, Tilak Varma, Mukesh Kumar, etc. can go play a 5 match unofficial test series against Ireland and Scotland teams which will give those players exposure of the conditions as well. Take this test for example. Akash Deep is bowling brilliantly but I feel he is bowling atleast half a meter shorter than he should. As a result the ball is deviating an inch or two more when it reaches the batter beating him convincingly to make for a good visual but not converting into wickets. If the ball is pitched up another half meter it will deviate a bit lesser when it reaches the batter and possibly get the edge to get the wicket? Had Akash Deep played 5 unofficial 4 day games earlier in Australia he would have gotten used to it mentally. What do you all feel about it?

I fully agree with Gavaskar sir opinion about Rohit, Virat future in test cricket. In fact Rohit should not play in Sydney test.
And Team management should drop Rishabh Pant for atleast one test (Sydney) for his irresponsible short in both the innings of this test. I recall in the past, great Gavaskar sir as captain ,did the same with Kapil Dev for his irresponsible/rash short resulted india lost the test match which india could have been saved as Melbourne test.

Our players forgot how to win or draw test match. Most of them trying to take rest as quickly as possible. Sunil gavaskar was the best test batsman ever. He knows how make the match draw or to win. Present players must learn by watching gavaskar's bating before going to play test match. It is in fact Gavaskar is the route cause to increase interest in cricket. Since 1971 he brought the audience to the stadiums. The present players owing a lot to Gavaskar. He is the person BCCI to give importance to players. But, he is not given due respect to him. How many double centuries he made in the test matches during that period unlike other players. BCCI must recommend his name for an excellent award by our Govt. I have been watching test matches as well as one dayers and T20s. Gavaskar is one of the best commentator also. His voice also be very sweet. Others are after him only. All the present players must treat him as Guru. Especially for Test matches.

Let Bumrah be the captain for last test, prior to that let Rohit announce his retirement from the test captaincy and test cricket . let him continue as captain for ODI till champions trophy and take a call regarding ODI captaincy/career post CT. Yes I agree Rohit and Virat should now gracefully bow out from Test Cricket (not taking away anything from what both have accomplished in their respective careers) the BCCI should also look to prepare the players who are on the fringes for the challenges of touring abroad. For example the major future tours are known almost 18 months in advance. If we have a 5 match series scheduled in July 2025 against England in England then in July-August 2024 a 16 man squad comprising of players like Eswaran, Tilak Varma, Mukesh Kumar, etc. can go play a 5 match unofficial test series against Ireland and Scotland teams which will give those players exposure of the conditions as well. Take this test for example. Akash Deep is bowling brilliantly but I feel he is bowling atleast half a meter shorter than he should. As a result the ball is deviating an inch or two more when it reaches the batter beating him convincingly to make for a good visual but not converting into wickets. If the ball is pitched up another half meter it will deviate a bit lesser when it reaches the batter and possibly get the edge to get the wicket? Had Akash Deep played 5 unofficial 4 day games earlier in Australia he would have gotten used to it mentally. What do you all feel about it?
