I also appreciate how they rearranged the song and made it their own with homage to Sting. Disturbed also did Sound Of Silence and it's phenomenal. You should check it out.
You should absolutely check out their cover of sound of silence! Whether you choose the studio version or the Grammy nominated version that was done on Conan, you would enjoy it!
I have a great appreciation that you are able to pick up cord progressions by just hearing them. then you play them for us and explain how that develops. I may not understand it but you make someone feel like they do while we pick up on some of those terms. You have really great talent as well. I envy that. keep this up. :)
What an inviting space you’ve created. Just want to come here when the world is too much. Lay on the floor and listen and be. I adore Disturbed but hadn’t heard this one. Thank you
@@MusicShed Their cover of Sound of Silence takes Paul’s wonderful lyrics and makes them even more timely then they were when he wrote them. It’s honestly a whole new song. Even Paul endorsed the cover and posted it on his page when it came out. It’s undeniably amazing 🖤
I discovered Disturbed at Meadows Music Center (Hartford, CT) at Ozzfest in 2001 (I was the "cool dad" who took my son and his teenage friends to see one of my childhood favorites Black Sabbath). Disturbed were by far the best new band I found in that era, and I especially love their 2nd album "Believe". I wasn't as into their later albums until they covered "Sound of Silence" which others have mentioned here. The closing song on "Believe" is a slow wistful ballad of their own that foreshadows these cover songs done so exquisitely (and provides such a counterpoint to their huge metal sound on the remaining tracks). For me, David Draiman's vocals are second only to the early Ozzy in Heavy Metal music (as long as you don't count Ian Gillan as a Metal singer).
I was watching this again and realized you haven’t done their cover of the Sound of Science! Please, please, please react to that! It might be my favorite cover ever 🖤
Add the the chorus of you should really listen to The Sound of Silence - live or studio, whether it’s a reaction or not, it’s one of those songs where you just wonder how they ever managed to take something great, do it justice, and then add more feeling and strength to the original message. The most common thing I hear is Simon and Garfunkel gave us a warning, and Disturbed chastised us for not heeding that warning.
I had a music theory teacher who would pause music and run over to the piano and play the “resolved” chord cuz he knew the recording didn’t ever do it, and his brain couldn’t take it 😂
8:07 David Draiman is the original singer. Disturbed were born since he joined the band. Before he joined the band, The band was called brawl, nothing to do with Disturbed.
Please react to Disturbed's "Hold on to Memories" the official live video. You will not regret it. BTW...they wrote this one themselves. David joined the group in 1994 it wasn't until after David joined the band that they changed their name from Brawl to Disturbed.
I saw you react to Bring me the horizon live, and if you liked that, please react to Dimmu Borgir - Gateways (forces of the northern light) LIVE. it's a symphonic "black metal" band from norway. they were 100 people on stage and the show was shown on national TV in norway :D it is absolutely amazing
Please react to Disturbed's cover of "The Sound of Silence." They have an official music video and a live version from the Conan O'Brien show just after the song dropped in December 2016. Thanks!
Dude, I've been watching your vidz a bunch the last couple days, and you said two things that made me very sad, one: you don't know much TOOL, two: you don't know disturbed. Disturbed is so much different than a metal band, and tool well they're the greatest band of all time, please check them out - - - from a bring me the horizon fan
Your playing was changing everything that Disturbed was doing which detracts from a reaction, especially when always comparing it to Sting's original- disappointing...
You neglected the words, and what the meaning of the song was about. Though, you could be sincere and just playing with it, yeah Sting had his own, but disturbed played perfectly, and more so of today's music...soooo, what now?
I highly recommend listening to their version of Sound Of Silence. It's an incredible cover, trust me.

I click on anything involving Disturbed, but this was a great reaction. I'll keep an eye on the channel. Really love the breakdown of the music.

I would love to see your reaction to Falling in Reverse "The drug in me is re-imagined".
Yes please!
DO IT!
Oh my gosh, yes! David needs to be brought into the music genre that is Ronnie Radke.
"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed is worth a listen. It contains an amazing guitar solo.
This guy has so much fun playing piano and its so enjoyable to watch him doing what he does there D:
Please react to Alter Bridge: "Words Darker Than Their Wings" Live At The Royal Albert Hall. You will love it :)
I studied music many years ago and my motto then...AND...in life now is, "Everyone loves resolution".
All the emotion music can create is just the interplay of tension and release. What a gift to humankind we gave ourselves!
Bro you jumped on that piano perfectly. Damn nice lol
What an inviting space you’ve created. Just want to come here when the world is too much. Lay on the floor and listen and be. I adore Disturbed but hadn’t heard this one. Thank you
Sound of silence is a must if you heard this one from them.
You have to check out Disturbed’s cover of The Sound of Silence. Best. Cover. Ever. 🖤
Absolutely, second that !
Those old songs are so deep! Love when newer bands go back in time and do their own thing with these gems.
Yes, Bet ever, IMO

Disturbed's covers are always legit. David Draiman is a fantastic singer.
Wow. I like your reaction. No one else plays an instrument or piano like you do in them. Well done.

Try reacting to Disturbed "Hold on to Memories" and "The Light," Both are amazing and a vastly different side of the band.
Great reaction!
I loved your piano playing. I just started to play 3 weeks ago, and hope (if not really believe) that I'll get there someday.
Really great reaction and analysis! Thank you!

Great reaction video! I have to recommend Disturbed's live performance of The Sound of Silence on Conan. Will give you chills.

Thank you for caring enough to comment

He changed the lyrics from holy church to religion because he's a Jew
