- Today we got a 125 gallon fish tank At random. Thanks to Preditory Fins we were able to get our hands on a black devil cat fish known to be the most aggressive cat fish around and we also took home a temensis peacock bass at a foot long . Just in case you care, or you get another catfish. You hold catfish on the belly side with your fingers under their fins. (Hold it like a baby)
I used to work at a tropical fish store and I can safely say that the Black Devil (or Crystal Eye) catfish is one of the meanest species of aquarium fish I’ve ever seen. It would attack anything it’s own size or smaller so was kept on its own. After a few changes to the tanks he was moved to a predator community tank, even though it was the smallest fish and had the least bulk it still didn’t give a fuck. It was a bastard.

Peacock Bash manly bass i had Asian arowana stingrays all sorts of catfish but I tend to just stick with bass don’t think there many bass I have not owned never had a intermedia thou as to hard to get hold of

That Temensis is awesome in that tank, I’m getting the 150 this weekend. It’s the same as your tank, just taller. Has it outgrown the tank yet. Catfish looked legit, I’m glad your fish made it ok from Predatory Fins 😆. Does it still fit in the tank too? Nice video, video is 9 months old, can you imagine what’s happened since then!!!

I use the same stuff in some of my tanks. River pea gravel is what we call it here. I get at home improvement store. 5 bucks a 50 lb bag.

This is a little late but in Mississauga there’s a really good predator store called “discount dragon aquarium” I got a green Arowana with a certificate of authenticity because they’re technically on the endangered list.

Nothing else should go in there. Those fish shouldn’t of gone in there. That catfish is clearly sizing up that bass. It’s simply less than intelligent to to by a fish last minute without researching it first having an appropriate backup plan already in place. They are already at max size for a tank of that size. These fish and many others should be banned from sale to be completely honest. There’s enough invasive species in American waters as it is especially in the hurricane prone south east. If you have a pond then they should of went in that pond. Good luck with that.
